A must try. Our server was such a great guy. He really took his time explaining the wines, the history of Monte De Oro, and surrounding places to check out in Temecula. The property is so peaceful and relaxing, after the tasting, we purchased bottles to both take home and enjoy on the outside patio. Clean restrooms and plenty of parking. I'd return and suggest you check them out.

Monte De Oro is definitely my favorite winery in Temecula! The wine is great especially if you enjoy white wines. They have really good food too and a wide variety compared to most wineries. I also adore the wine glasses and kitchenware that they sell. Everything is reasonably priced. They have live music sometimes in the courtyard. And I don't find it to be overcrowded the staff is very friendly and all the food comes out fairly quick. It's a nice quiet winery.

The reds here are superb and so is the menu. Monte must be going broke paying the salary of the chef. Not kidding. We got the truffle fries...to die for. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was like biting into butter. Honestly. It was real steak but it was so soft and tender. What the heck?!?!?? The burger is delish as well, a must, soft, tender and meaty, like a good man. The food and wine here is phenomenal. I just love this place. Ask for Mary at the wine bar, she's the best.

Julia really needs to get her attitude checked out. Demeanor was very off, she seems like she doesnt want to help anyone, rushed us. Honestly terrible first impression, made me want to go to another winery. Ended up going to the other side with Rebecca, COMPLETE game changer. Felt welcomed, learned so much about the process, the winery, the way things are grown, made the experience a 10/10. Very welcoming, very knowledgable. You can tell she loved what she does. Some other guests agreed Becca made the experience amazing. Wines are great, atmosphere is pleasant. Will be back for Becca and the Red Synergy65 :)

My wife and I took a short trip to Temecula and we wanted to try new places. This place looks beautiful from the road so we had to stop by. If you're looking for great affordable wine, this is the place we ordered a bottle of Muscat Canelli, it was great, refreshing and just a chill vibe inside. This isn't a high end fancy winery but it had beautiful architecture and nice views of the mountains.

Our perennial favorite. It was relatively quiet and intimate compared to the other wineries in the area. Being members we picked an outdoor table next to the fireplace. The wines as usual were outstanding. I would highly recommend a visit.

This was weekend getaway. To drive up to Temecula and do some wine tasting. Monte De Oro Winery. Cocktails wow, wine great and lovely selection. I had to try their pizza and Charcuterie tray. We sipped wine and enjoyed the experience. Red wines and white wines.Love this place and will continue to visit.

I've been a never of MDO for many years and there are two reason we keep coming back. 1 the value of the excellent wines 2. Mary. Say no mor Love everything about MDO. Brought many friends and all have joined club -can't beat the quality of wines vs the value. The pick up parties, the luaus, concerts. You name it

I've previously dined in before, but today I swung by to buy some wine for an Easter get-together. The wine here is amazing! I got three bottles: Cuvée de Oro, Unique elements, & Vigna Vicini. This place got a lot of variety, from dry to sweet to bubbly. My past dined-in experience was just as great, vineyard is beautiful and service is excellent. Not only that, but this place is kid-friendly, making it ideal for family outings.

It's been some time but my return to Monte De Oro Winery was very enjoyable because the staff remembered me and being a Monday the atmosphere was pleasant and calm which allowed me to utilize my five senses during the tasting. Mary was instrumental in making the experience extraordinary and enjoyable. Great conversation, overall knowledge of the wines presented, and background on the past and present of the winery. Plan to attend the Temecula Crush Event later in the year hosted on this spacious property. The wines were delicious and reminiscent of years past.

First time coming here. We were not impressed with the Margherita pizza and the Caesar salad. Pizza was bland like the sauce is from a can. The Cesar salad is from a bag of salad that you buy at the store. The Pretzel Bites with beer cheese was delicious. Wine was okay we tasted better wines. Bartender was great! We definitely will not be coming back.

Friday, June 21: My friend Maureen and I came for another fun evening of Bingo! The weather outdoors was a little warm but as soon as evening hit it was perfect! It wasn't a full house, which was surprising. This time I did not buy extra raffle tickets and held on to the three tickets that came with the price of admission. We both opted for a glass of Muscat Canelli , yummy! I finally was able to call out Bingo and do was Maureen! I can't believe I finally won! Always a good feeling to leave with your hands full! We really appreciate the entire staff especially Madison! She was so sweet & friendly and she handled the wine pouring. Maureen bought a bottle of the Muscat. It was so much fun we plan on returning next month!

It was a very beautiful spot, set over a hill with lovely views, but it didn't really have much of a vibe. The atmosphere felt a bit flat, even though the setting was nice. The wine prices were great, which was a plus, but all the food was just basic bar food -- nothing too exciting. The service was very nice and friendly, which we appreciated. We went during the hot season, and it was extremely hot, so that definitely affected the experience a bit.

I decided to do a wine tasting for my birthday with 2 other guests and drove from LA to Temecula on a Sunday. Arriving to the estate was easy, there's plenty of free parking spots surrounding the winery. It's quite an uphill stroll and some stairs are involved, but you definitely get a workout in. They have a covered patio area of tables that are either reserved or you put your name down to get a table on the left side of the winery, the middle/terrace area is usually used for private parties/events such as a bridal shower or birthday party, where there are 2 outside bars and sometimes they offer live music, the back area of the estate has a grassy area with small vendors selling jewelry and such with picnic style tables (no shade or cover), a gazebo of seating facing in my opinion, the best part of the view, and a separate location for wine club members. The inside is where you do the actual wine tasting experience, and has high bar stool tables and chairs for seating as well. Stepping up to the hostess desk, a man who worked there greeted us and very quickly told us what they offer and then walked away (had nothing to do with the check in desk area, so it was a little confusing). The hostesses had the same spiel to give, and I had mentioned it was our first time and we had absolutely no idea how to even begin a wine tasting experience. The explanations were rushed and basically told us to figure it out. We walked away towards the inside/outside terrace of the winery and were stuck walking around for 5 minutes not knowing where to go. We stopped by one of the outside bars and asked for help, the bartender told us we could start our wine tasting experience inside. Now was that so hard to help us navigate where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to do? Not everything should be explained on a script, most of the time hospitality and customer service goes a longer distance than formalities. We finally get inside and the women working the front for the tastings were really impersonal and standoffish. We finally start getting a tasting experience going, asked for recommendations and none were received or explained so we just picked random options and had them pour. Throughout the 6 tastings we had, each pour was a different amount, if the bottle they were using was running low, they would pour the last bits of it (barely 2 sips), and hand it over, vs a bottle that was more than full, would get a nice even tasting pour. We eventually wanted to order food, and before we even started the tasting, we asked for a table and the hostess told us it would be over an hour wait. We put our names down, they called us in the middle of our 2/6 tasting, which was less than 20 min. So we went to our table and kept having to go back inside one by one to taste our different wines, as we were at a table now and not just doing the tasting experience inside. Food was great, service at the table was also great. Afterwards we left our table and walked towards the gazebo area and sat down by the view. The most enjoyable part of our day just taking in the atmosphere. On our way out, we wanted to experience a different viewpoint which was the bar area with the stools next to the tables of the "reserved/name down" area. I very nicely asked the hostess if we could sit in the empty seats for just a second to finish our last tasting and take in the view, she told us no those are reserved areas and not just open for anyone to sit at as they please. "Sorryyyy those are reserved spaces" with a smile that was clearly not genuine. We understood, dropped our wine glasses off at the bar, and proceeded to our next destination. All in all, the service here was not great. The entire experience felt absolutely rushed, it was not focused on the wine tasting experience at all, they are more focused on selling tables and getting you to order food. There was no explanations on a quick backstory of the wines we were interested in trying, it was just like "which one do you want" "*point*" poured it, and just told us to enjoy. I didn't enjoy my time here at all, and I won't be back to visit, as there are many many other lowkey wineries that are not as highly reviewed or popular as this one, and they are a much better experience.

The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino.
