I haven't been here in a few years and visited last month. The food was blah. The macaroni was very clumpy, looked like they served from same pot as the day before. We also got onion rings and wings both over cooked and tough to chew. I paid my tab for party of 8 with a tip. I placed a separate to go order after getting receipt questioned tht waiter why was there a fee and he explained because it was a large party and I told him it's a to go order he kindly said he could remove it. read more

We were just going to stop off for a drink to be very honest with you and ended up sitting out on the patio, which is very pleasant and was waited on by just a wonderful server. What a complete pleasure. The empanadas were incredible. Truthfully they were simply incredible. All of the liquor is top shelf if you so desire, and again, the service is a huge compliment to the lovely ambience and good food. I have every intention of returning it's jampacked with television so obviously it's an incredible sports bar, which by the way the manager came out and catered to our taste for the screen directly in front of our table. We went for Father's Day quick lunch as my husband wanted a good burger... we chose to sit outside despite the weather it was hot but not unpleasant.. we got seated near an umbrella so had some shade but it was a welcoming dose of sunshine.. they had lively music going before a round of music bingo which was entertaining.. my husband ordered a beer which was very good and a bacon jam melt burger... I ordered the Texas 2 Step both with seasoned fries oh and corn riblets as a starter... all of it was absolutely delicious and very well sized! The waiter was very sweet and friendly! I agree w most of the glowing reviews. Such a fun place to hang out! Went here for a somewhat spontaneous date night and we really enjoyed our food. Service was exceptional. We had the sweetest waitress and were checked on by most of the staff as well. They have specials and for Cinco de Mayo it was a taco one. The beef street taco was so good! I got one of these and 2 of the shrimp but wish I had just stuck w the beef. My elote was delicious too. Hubby didn't care for country fried steak or side dish at all. However we've enjoyed takeout from here before and their burgers were delicious so I would venture to say most of their menu is pretty good! Great bar and grill in the Richmond area, serving yummy eats and a big selection of beer and drinks. We ended up coming here after doing a quick Google search and we are happy we did! The place was packed on a Saturday night and we took a table outside in the patio. We ordered a couple of beers, they had a special going because the Astros were playing, and ordered a good selection of their small plates. The food tasted great and come out hot and quick! We tried the corn riblets, the ravioli, spinach artichoke dip and their wings, all packed with flavor. The garlic Parmesan wings had a smokiness to them and were amazingly juicy. Service was superrrrr attentive. We were constantly being checked up on to make sure we had all we needed, a far cry from what I've been used to at Los Angeles area restaurants. My brother-in-law and I were looking for a place near Richmond to meet up with an old friend, Richmond being the halfway point between our two houses. The Yelp reviews were strong, and the menu looked good. They also appeared to have a good selection of brews, on tap and in the bottle. Note: Thursdays they have all day Happy Hour, so pop in for some pretty cheap beers! We were pleasantly surprised! We were seated outside, despite the fact that it was a chilly evening. They had a good set of heaters running, which made it quite comfy outdoors. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We took a while to place our orders, but our waiter didn't mind, and came back a couple of times until we were ready. And she came back a few more times to make sure we were doing well and had enough beers. The two of us had already eaten not that long before, so we ordered chips, which came with sides of salsa, guacamole, and queso, all of which were made at the restaurant. The salsa was good (I've had better), and could have been spicier, but the guacamole was excellent. It was clearly just made and tasted incredibly fresh. I was really surprised by how much I liked their homemade queso. It was really good. I may give their nachos a try should I come by again (their nachos are topped with queso, among other ingredients). Our friend got their fish tacos and really liked them. We came during and a&m baseball game so the place was busy and so loud. SO LOUD I almost asked my husband if we could leave. It's a small restaurant and bar so it's no fault of the restaurant of course. There's a patio but it's very very hot so we opted to stay inside. First time here obviously. I ordered the watermelon ranch water with mezcal. Omg so good and I'm so glad they have mezcal. Food I had the 6 piece salt pepper wings and the blue cheese salad wedge with candied bacon. Holy cow the salad was so good I literally closed my eyes and said out loud "omg this is so good I can literally eat this everyday!" My picky 8 yo liked it too. OG burgers- Double meat patties seemed to equal maybe only a quarter pounder and drowned by the oversized & somewhat dry brioche bun & the fixings (lettuce, tomatoes, etc). Burgers lacked flavor and the expected juiciness as well. Price charged didn't seem justified for the basic cheeseburger. Wings were fantastic. I would order those again. Tried Monte's for the first time today! Great and attentive service. We were seated right away and were checked on routinely. It also got busy really quickly and the patio is the spot to be at given the weather was nice today. We ordered the bueno nachos, birria tacos, and fish tacos. LOVED the nachos, birria tacos had a smokey bbq kick to it and if you get the fish tacos, get it fried! Crawfish is only on Tuesdays so we're definitely coming back for that VERY soon! that and so we can try out the rest of their menu! 10/10 recommend read more

Monte's is a hidden gem!! Just moved to Richmond and was a bit sad about the food places out here. This is the best place to eat and drink out here by far!!!! Service was amazing they even have a quiet section of the restaurant for my baby while we dined in. Hospitality was great I really felt the energy. The staff at Monte's have become a piece of my extended family. My toddler and I visit almost every Friday, and I have tried more than half of the menu. It's incredibly challenging to choose a favorite but if I HAD to choose I would select the hot honey chicken sandwich. The last time I went, we ordered to go and I got a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings. When I say PHENOMENAL?! The chicken was perfectly crispy. The balance of savory and sweet is 10/10, and there's some sort of spice they put on the chicken to season it that takes it to the next level. It comes with a slaw and it's the perfect balance of creaminess and crunch. Served on a brioche bun, the hot honey chicken sandwich is one you can't beat! The onion rings could be fried a little harder, but they are yummy! If you want something light, I highly suggest the fish tacos! WOW! Flavor bomb.
