We had fajitas and they are great! Servic3 is outstanding. The Margaritas were not so good, but we will go backand i bet they will make them better. Don, Wedding Officiant Don@ dgweddingbliss.com

I called for a pick up order about an hour before they closed and it took 20 mins for pick up. I got chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, caldo de pollo and combination #1 with a chicken taco, pork tamale, and pork sope. I am a chilaquiles snob lol. They were okay. I give them 3 stars. The tortilla chips were too soggy they had no bite to them and the salsa underneath was underwhelming. It was a tad better by adding the salsa they gave me Togo. The soup was very bland, I had to add some seasonings to it to add some flavor. I give it 3 stars. The taco was very basic. I wouldn't suggest it. Similar to a fast food place taco. The sope was interesting. I've only seen them smaller almost bite size street food style. This one was huge. It had no bite too it either and had way too much lettuce, my husband thought it was a salad lol. The tamale wasn't that good either. Very bland. The tortilla didn't taste homemade. Maybe I caught them too close to closing, but no better quality than the store bought. The two people working were very nice however and the decor inside is traditional Mexican style and lovely.

Tamales were great, homemade salsa on point, and margaritas were big, cheap and delicious.

Huevos à la Mexicana with house-made corn tortillas

Wow. I'm so glad I tried this place - one of the best Mexican breakfasts I've ever had. (And I lived in Texas so that's saying a lot!) Gorgeous, huge, piping hot house-made corn tortillas, perfect huevos a la Mexicana with rice and black beans, excellent house-made sauces -- and beautiful interior. Do yourself a favor and stop in!!

The Carnitas plate was wonderful. Get the homemade corn tortillas! The chips were warm and went great with the green salsa.

Very surprised and pleased at the quality of food and service. Best Mexican restaurant I've found north of Arizona.

We had a wonderful family lunch at El Tapatio and will definitely be back!…read more I ordered the tostada, and it was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the fresh radishes and cucumber garnish, a refreshing touch. My son ordered the Colorado Burrito with shredded beef, his girlfriend had the Super Burrito, and my granddaughter enjoyed a taco with the two-enchilada combination. Everything looked fantastic. The menu is huge, with so many tempting choices that it was hard to decide. I originally planned on ordering the chile relleno but decided to try something different this time, and I'm glad I did. The complimentary chips came with two different salsas, and both were excellent. One salsa had mushrooms, onions, and what I believe were tomatillos, giving it a unique flavor that was absolutely delicious. It was a nice change from the typical restaurant salsa. One thing worth mentioning is the portion sizes. The burritos are enormous and could easily be shared between two people while still leaving everyone satisfied. We were seated in a booth overlooking the Columbia River, which made for a beautiful setting and added to the experience. A few minor drawbacks: Because it was a warm day, the doors were left open, and there were quite a few flies near the entrance and inside the restaurant. None bothered us where we were seated, but it was noticeable when entering. Parking can also be a little tight, especially if you drive a larger vehicle. There is one handicap parking space near the entrance. Families with young children should also be aware that the stairs to the lower level are directly in front of the entrance without a gate or barrier, so it's something to keep an eye on. Overall, the excellent food, generous portions, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful river view far outweighed those small concerns. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
