My wife and I lived here for 3.5 years and would have enjoyed staying of other life plans didn't require us to move. The location is lovely, with large trees and birds and squirrels everywhere. The neighborhood is great, too, with easy access to grocery stores, Costco, and other useful stores. Anahi, the property manager, was always responsive and a pleasure to deal with. I don't even know where to start. I called this place home for almost 4 years! LOVED it. Aside from a great location, you are minutes from Brea, Whittier, Fullerton, shopping, dinning etc. Anahi and Luis always went above and beyond, Anahi was always very prompt to reply to messages, calls, very hands on, also very understanding. Luis is such a sweetheart, very respectful and professional. I can go on and on. The grounds are beautiful, very clean kept, it's quiet, the court yards are so spacious, green, beautiful. I left because I wanted a patio area for my puppy, otherwise I'd still be there. My take away from my experience living here can honestly be, I always felt safe, if you're a single lady with just your puppy, security is a big deal when renting, you will definitely find it here. My girlfriend and I moved here about a month ago, and we're loving it so far. It's a very quiet and clean complex. Most of the stores you need and don't even need are close-by. Grace (the administrator) is really friendly. We're renting a one bedroom and I must say, it's really spacious. We even have enough space to make a corner office in the living room and it's not not clustered. The view from the room is lovely, so we decided to make the patio a nice place to sit and just relax by putting some artificial grass and a patio set. In as much as I love the property, I, however am not very much pleased with the parking permit cards; it'll be nice to have a small sticker on the corner of your windshield, not the rather large paper permits we have hanging now. The gym too could be upgraded. And for those interested about the parking, there's loads of street parking! read more

We lived here for 2 years and loved it. The complex is in a quiet neighborhood and the location is amazing. So close to everything we needed. The 2 bed, 1.5 townhome we lived in had an upgraded kitchen and central AC with a Nest. We loved how quiet the apartment complex was at night but also how kid friendly it was. The complex has a pool, fitness center and a very large laundry room. We never had any issues with parking especially because it's in a residential neighborhood with plenty of parking. We definitely would have continued living here if we hadn't purchased a house. Rent is extremely reasonable for all the amenities you get and the upgraded apartments. Maintenance requests were handled quickly. I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone. read more

Loved living here!!! The premises were always kept clean and landscaping always on point. Whenever we had a problem with anything in our apartment, we would put a work order in with Anahi the manager, and she would have the maintenance man come that same day! We moved from Aria Apartments in Cerritos to Monterra Springs in La Habra two months ago. We thought because we were saving so much money we'd have to deal with downgrades but the exact opposite is true. I under estimated the value of peace & quiet, a view like we have of the Azusa Mountains, excellent stores & restaurants within walking distance Monterra offers. The laundry room alone made the move worth it. Graciela is an attentive friendly manager. If a service call is needed she's on it. She's very easy to work with. The pool area is a nice place to relax and from my experience the neighbors are all very friendly as well. My wife and I really like it here. My husband an I lived at Monterra Springs for over a year. I will honestly list the pros and cons of this housing complex. Pros: -renovated -cheap rent -local eateries -nice manager Cons: -Our cars were broken into over 4 times and nothing was done about it in terms of security -Had issues with roaches for over a year (HUGE ones) -Someone who we know also lives in the complex and they had a situation with a rodent, damaged property and nothing was done about it. I've lived at Monterra Springs in a 1 bedroom for about a year now and I really loved it. Unfortunately I have to move, but I wish I didn't have to! It's a quiet, family friendly complex with a really nice pool/jacuzzi area, plenty of grass and well kept gardening, bbq's, clean and big laundry room, and a nice little gym. I recently transfer to a renovated unit with Monterra Springs and couldn't be happier. I could not recommend Monterra Springs any more and they are absolutely deserving of 5 stars They also have an easy pay online system. The manager Fabiola was very friendly and cool with us. When I moved in they gave me a welcome card and a small gift. They weren't cold and impersonal, like a lot of the companies I had dealt with, and the most important to me, they really respect tenants' privacy. Fabiola was never impatient with me, even when I took my time making a decision. There is no doubt that they have the one the best places to live when I looked around La Habra. Is any property management company perfect? I doubt it. Is it important to give a shout out to the ones who try? In my opinion- Yes. Pros: Great units Customer service Can pay rent online Cat Friendly Maintains property Responsive to requests Cons: Only one parking space Don't accept credit cards Limited storage No short term rentals A few other thoughts: Make sure you have good credit. They checked mine and I had to meet their minimum score. My family and I had the pleasure to live in Monterra Springs Apartments sadly... only for one year due to my husband's job relocation but let me tell you THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! From day one Graciela Romero (the property manager) made this place feel like home and made sure the process was smooth and fast, her optimism through it was refreshing. The community is gated and stays open in the day time, the property is very well kept, pool, gym and laundry room are very clean, the grounds area are immaculate, all issues are always taking care of right away, neighbors are very friendly (we made very good friends there) neighborhood is quiet we also have two cats and they loved the quietness, views and light all the apartments have. Lived here for almost two years (when it was still Ill Pompeii), it was so lovely and tranquil. The previous owners and the previous maintenance guy (Greg, I think) were awesome!!! Unfortunately, they sold out to Monterra Springs and it just went downhill. Way over priced for what the apartments are, and there were always complaints about kids being noisy, many times I had balls hit my window and door, so annoying. The manager did nothing about it. They seemed to only care about raising prices and adding new fees like, parking, using the recreation room and pet fees. Needless to say we did not renew our lease and moved out, QUICK. I had to stop by and get some final stuff done and the old woman that sits in the front (didn't get her name) was HORRIBLY rude! I was missing the area very much but after the encounter with the old lady, I'm oh so glad we moved out of there. read more

My boyfriend and I moved into this complex about a month ago and we love it so far ! Great location, super friendly people and neighbors, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard!! Plus all the units are newly renovated with hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances and the AC and heater work great ! It's also quiet and in an neighborhood so you can go on walks or runs. It's also pet friendly and I love taking my pup to walk around the complex because it's so nice! Lastly I love the laundry room, it's always clean, machines always work, and people are considerate about moving stuff when it's done. There's also a vending machine where sometimes I get a late night snack (hot Cheetos ) The only drawback is the parking..sometimes I have to park further away from the complex but hey at least I can get my steps in! ‍ Move here and you wont be sorry! read more

Grace was very unprofessional I have a service companion dog due to my disability once i arrived to pick up my keys with a Uhaul outside I was told because of the breed of my service dog it was not permitted from my understanding per fair housing act this is against the law ..i had no where to go for 2 weeks because of the incopetence of this leassing agent why wait until the last day when for a whole month I stopped by to see the progress of unit to drop off a payment ...i am so disappointed and still heartbroken of how I was treated so beware if you have any disabilities go somewhere else not here I am looking into a lawyer to help me out anyone know of someone contact me please ... Please be advised that the photos you see online are not what you will get. I recently visited this property under the impression of SS appliances and an upgraded apartment. I was told that the management company decided to stop upgrading the apartments so if you move in, you'll be getting the old version. However, you can upgrade the apartment IF YOU PAY FOR IT MONTHLY. So you would basically be providing Monterra Springs with an ultimate benefit of having an upgraded apartment at no expense to them. It's in a nice neighborhood but I have to pass. An apartment upgrade should be at the expense of the complex considering they're the ones getting the ultimate benefit. No, thanks. read more

I've been here since 2010 and have seen several managers come & go. It's an amazingly beautiful site tucked away in the hills. We have had some problems adjusting to new owners recently. All I can say is its better now. if you don't like kids, dogs or cats then this isn't the place for you. This is the first apartment complex I've lived in, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've had an excellent experience so far since moving in late March 2017. The application process was quite easy; I had approval within 48 hours. I chose this complex because it allowed up to (2) pets which was VERY important to me, but also for its beautifully landscaped and well-maintained grounds and its convenient walking distance location to stores, restaurants and movie theaters. I'm constantly amazed (and appreciative) as to how quiet this complex is. I especially love the flowing sound of water from the landscaped river and waterfalls. Residents range from young couples, to families, to middle aged and senior persons and many have dogs or cats. From what I have noticed, residents with dogs are extremely conscientious about cleaning up after their pets. My personal experiences with the company's property manager, Graciela, have been nothing but positive. I've needed a few repairs and have gotten in touch for a couple of things, and Graciela has handled all requests in a prompt, helpful, and friendly manner. We have been very unhappy with this complex.They keep raising rent every year and the management is terrible (both unresponsive and not helpful). There has been at least 3 management companies in the last 3 years. The apartments are nice on the inside and spacious but not worth the current pricing. We will be moving as soon as our lease is up. read more
