Find somewhere else. Ive been here for 4 years and the increase the rent every year. Staff is over worked which makes them a little rude and hostile against tenants. Candie and Anthony are awesome though which is why we stayed for so long but I'm thinking this is our last year. Packages are stolen right from the package room and nothing is being done to solve the problem. I was told to pick up my packages RIGHT AWAY but literally picked up my packages a day later and it was gone. Pinnacle your residents deserve better read more

Went back and forth with management and they finally got me connected with guest relations. I explained the situation with the fire alarms being a huge problem since we work from home. Guest relations was very understanding and heard me out. I appreciate that very much. I know we can't go back in time and change the fire alarms being triggered over and over, but I appreciate the empathy and understanding. When I talked to management, it felt like they didn't really care much or it could have just been that their hands were tired and they couldn't help. Guest relations really made me feel heard and treated us like human beings. I do appreciate that very much. Leaving this apartment complex on a good note. It's a very nice community, well-kept, safe, clean. We just can't stay any longer after the fire alarms caused employment issues. It's not a bad place to live by any means. read more

Changing my rating to a 1 due to the gaslighting in building management's response to my earlier review. These are NOT the scheduled testings that tenants receive notifications of. These alarms are being set off by tenants multiple times a week, often in the middle of the night. And while building management says they have no control over this, this is a lazy approach. This is obviously a very sensitive fire alarm system and Essex needs to pay to have this fixed. If that's not the case, then start issuing warnings to the tenants who are setting off the alarms and have there be actual consequences for repeat offenders. This is what building management should do instead throwing their hands up in the air and saying "this isn't an issue and we just don't care enough about it to take corrective action". Per other reviews on this page, this is an obvious ongoing issue. read more

I recently toured Pinnacle at Fullerton, and while my visit didn't start off smoothly--I was a bit confused about where to go when I arrived--the experience quickly turned around thanks to Candi in the leasing office. She went above and beyond to help me, taking the time to answer my questions, guide me in the right direction, and even followed up with a phone call to make sure I found the apartment I was scheduled to tour. Although I ultimately chose to rent elsewhere, I feel compelled to recognize Candi for her exceptional service. I have been living at the Pinnacle since 2017 and it has been a great experience. The complex has had something remodeled every year. The staff is great and very responsive. I lost my wallet in the complex and reported it to the staff and 24 hours later then had found it and returned it. I am very grateful for them. The complex is very clean and in good condition. Maintenance and cleaning crew are always present and keeping the apartments in top shape. I look forward to continue being a resident of the Pinnacle at Fullerton. read more

They fought to take care of me with the vendors (even when I was not the nicest) I'm not sure if anyone else would have been so gracious. I moved into Pinnacle the beginning of April, 2024. I wanted to wait a bit before leaving a review. So far, our experience has been wonderful. The staff here are excellent (shout out to Sarah & Yvette in the office and to Tony and Anthony in maintenance.) Sarah & Yvette helped me numerous times, starting with some paperwork I hadn't completed prior to moving in. They helped me to get everything processed quickly and I really appreciate it. Tony and Anthony are superb...these guys can fix anything! Pinnacle management should be very proud of their team. We're very happy living here. We have a 2-bedroom and the rooms are spacious and bright. We love the 24-hour fitness center and use it often. The people who live here are friendly and respectful. Our car is secure in the gated garage and we're close to everything. All in all, a great experience! read more

The staff is great, but be prepared for $400+ in fabricated charges upon moving out. They ignore all requests for an in-person walkthrough, and no matter how well you clean and take care of the apartment, they will send you to collections to pay the $400+ charges after you've moved out. All communications are ignored - just straight to their collections portal. I lived here for 3+ years, my wife and I work full-time, no kids or pets. Despite taking care of the place and thoroughly cleaning it after moving out, they charged us for things like "imprints on the carpet" (from our bed frame) and "scratches on the wall" and "discolored metal on the gas stove burners". My wife, her dad, and I spent 2 days thoroughly cleaning the apartment. Yet they ignored our requests for an in-person walkthrough, and served us with trumped-up charges. It's an obvious money grab. My neighbors had similar move-out experiences as well, and most just give into the fees after the threat of collections. These practices will probably lead to a class-action lawsuit someday. Update: I just received an email about a class-action lawsuit against Essex for similar practices ("Norman et al. v. I would highly recommend not renting at Pinnacle. I rented here from July of 2021-July of 2022. I could not stay another year. 1. Your car will get broken into. Mine was broken into one night along with 5 other cars. Many of my neighbors have stated their cars were broken into multiple times. Management does not care. Supposedly there are "cameras" but magically they never can see anything. (I attached photos) 2. The parking structure is like a dungeon, especially the lower level. There are lights that only turn on after you have walked or driven past them. It is creepy and unsafe, and probably also part of the issue with car break-ins. Again, they do not care because it is saying them money on electricity. 3. I lived on the first floor and there are squeaky floor boards above and stomping from the people above. I contacted management because it is so disruptive and they told me "unfortunately, you are a downstairs apartment, so this is always an issue." So they admit their building is poorly built and they will do nothing about it. How about disclosing that before I moved in? 4. They will keep as much of your security deposit as possible, no matter how well you took care of the unit. They charged me hundreds of dollars for new carpet claiming there were urine stains from my dog. Their "proof" was pictures of the carpet already ripped up with "stains" underneath. My dog is very well trained and never peed on the carpet. They refuse to reimburse me my money. They also will wait weeks to respond to any emails regarding deposits. 5. They will raise your rent the maximum amount they can once your lease is up. They will also charge you to park your car in the garage where your car will get broken into. 6. Your packages will just be left out in the mail room and will get stolen. Several of my packages went "missing". 7. There is no on site property manager. You can only contact them through email. It is supposed to be "luxury" but again it saves them money to not have anyone on site. When I moved in they had on site people, then locked the doors and said you can only contact them through email. 8. It's loud. There is a fire station on the corner so constant sirens and loud cars. If you face Lemon Street or Commonwealth be ready for that. 9. People leave their garbage on the floor of the trash room and don't put it in the chute....or they even leave it out in the hallway. 10. Again, it is supposedly "luxury". The pool was closed on several occasions for weeks at a time. You would think maybe they would give a little rent discount. Of course not. The workout room is small and has old equipment. ***Best thing about the place.....the maintenance people. They are wonderful. Give them raises!*** read more

I moved in just over a month ago and I could not be MORE happy! There are literally no negatives (other than the cost of living, but it's SoCal, so what do you expect?!). The apartments are gated and feel very safe. We're walkable to literally any type of food we could possibly want. I'm walkable to my job at Fullerton Towers. They have this locker hub where all of your package deliveries are dropped off and you get a text and email with a code/barcode to pick them up. The grounds are kept clean. The other residents are nice and it's a quiet complex. It literally feels like a dream compared to my prior apartment experience. BONUS - My husband and I can't get over how nice everyone that works here is. Literally each person we've spoken with has gone above and beyond. My steps slow down just a tad as I glance down at Pinnacle's beautiful yet homey courtyard from the 3rd story walkway. I lean over the railing to look at Amerige Avenue and the stretch of historical buildings, streets and lush green that make up the unique culture of Downtown Fullerton. Lately I find myself doing these more often while thinking, "Man... I am going to miss living here." Pinnacle at Fullerton is, by far, my #1 favorite place to live. That statement comes with an annotation that I had lived in Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York and in the desirable town of Edgewater, NJ along the Hudson River. Pinnacle at Fullerton offers combination of comfort, convenience and excellent customer service. Personally, I think the layout and design is absolutely gorgeous and well-thought out here - it makes you feel comfortable and cozy like it's your home and you're proud to call it home because everything here is so pleasant to look at. I never had an issue with noisy neighbor or pet remains lying around on the property. Pinnacle at Fullerton is located in the heart of Downtown Fullerton. There is countless number of coffee shops, restaurants, bars, hair salons, yoga studio, bookstore within walking distance. Not to mention museums, Fullerton train station and Fullerton College. Sprouts, Costco, Target, Walmart and Hwy 91 is just 5 minutes away, and getting on the Hwy 91 will take you to Hwy 5 and Hwy 57 in no time. The property is maintained meticulously by Tony and his team. Tony is always friendly and professional. I made 2 requests while living here, and both times Tony completed the work orders the same day I requested, with nothing but smiles and great attitude. Sara, the property manager, is very warm, empathetic and helpful - She always made me feel appreciated as her resident, even after I signed my lease and moved in. I know there are some managers who will look at you only as a dollar sign. Sara always went above and beyond with her service, and that's very rare these days. There is no such thing as perfect apartment community, but I truly believe Pinnacle at Fullerton comes very close to it. I am very sorry that I have to leave Pinnacle at Fullerton for work in another state. If I ever move back to Orange County, I'd definitely live at Pinnacle at Fullerton again. After having lived here for a year, I want to give an updated review. PROS: -great location, walking distance to bars and all that downtown Fullerton has to offer. -gated, and therefore *relatively* safe -quiet and clean complex -maintenance is fast -Pool, spa, and gym available CONS: -price is ridiculous relative to the size of the apartment and the construction of it -I left my car parked in the visitor parking for a couple hours as I was not staying long and it was broken into. In addition, though the residential spaces are gated, my fiancées car was broken into there as well. We called and asked the management to review the cameras and they would not and never got back to us about it. -I wouldn't recommend walking alone at night in the area, there are cockroaches everywhere (outside of the complex, never in during our entire stay) and many homeless people -the manager Sara was always amiable, but Lauren was rude to me on more than one occasion. -though maintenance was fast, there were always comments made on how we (my fiancée and I) managed to "break" something, though repairs were needed through no fault of our own -the layout doesn't make sense, there was a drawer in the kitchen I could not open or use because it hit the fridge when opened an inch, and one of the kitchen cabinets hits the kitchen light when opened more than halfway Overall, this was a nice place to live, but may not be worth the cost and some of the extra headache. If not for the cost, I would've put up with the other cons mentioned to be downtown. In the end, could not justify it. If you have endless money to spare and want downtown apartment living, I would say go for it. If not, best to spend your money elsewhere read more

I moved into Pinnacle recently and must say the girls in the office made my move in so easy. I was having issues with paying my move in money and Yvette was able to help me out with making my payment. Candace was so patient with answering all my questions. I could hear their smiles over the phone when talking to them. This was nice to get quality costumer service, it's hard to find these days. The Pinnacle is clean and well kept. I was really happy to see they had an Amazon Hub where my packages can be delivered . The maintenance guys are pretty cool every time I see them they say hello and greet me with a smile. Restaurant and bars are walking distance and the train station is across the street. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to move to the Fullerton area. read more

So this review is JUST for the person who was our contact person and our experience doing a self guided tour of the property. TAYLOR should be everyone's contact point when checking out this property. TAYLOR was so attentive, patient, and an all around easy-to-talk-to type of person. I was in contact with him mostly via texts and he was always quick to respond. Customer service skills was amazing!! Before the tour, he followed up to make sure we were still going to tour and made sure to email us a property map. Once at the property, he had the model units remotely unlocked. It was as if he was there in person and answering any questions we had. TAYLOR truly made sure your visit was excellent and you walked away knowing all the answers to your questions. If you get anyone else, ask for TAYLOR!!! Oh and his grammar and spelling is correct too. There was another employee who wrote in all lower case and the grammar...it was definitely not professional and not a great first impression. Thank you Taylor!
