We've rented a large amount tables from Montgomery Tent for two years in a row for an event in Greenfield. Even though they are located in Indy, they were willing to deliver the tables to our venue in Greenfield. They have been flexible with last minute changes for us. Last year, we needed extra tables and the crew went back to Indy and delivered the additional tables. The prices for the tables are a tad less than local supplier in Greenfield. The tables are sturdy and serve the purpose that we need. Some of the table tops were a little ugly, but we cover them anyway. Delivery was on time but we had to be flexible with their pickup schedule. We will continue to order the tables from them and highly recommend. read more

Y'all, run. I used this company because they are the only company my wedding venue works with for tents. They are so disorganized. They mixed me up in other email chains and kept changing parts of my order. I kept having to call and explain that I was not sure who they added to my order, but I did not know them. There were two separate occasions where this happened. Cheryl was also incredibly rude on our wedding day. I spoke with her on the phone and she was very short and snappy. I had worked with Cheryl the entire time and she was always slow to respond and incredibly rude if you called her. I kept it positive and polite the entire time because my venue wouldn't allow another company, but I think this just empowered her to be snappy and condescending at each moment. When I paid, she didn't know how to use her own system and couldn't bill it right. I ended up having to be her "test subject" several times because she was going to try something to see if it worked (using my credit card as the test subject). I would not use them again even if it meant no tent for wedding day. Definitely avoid if you can! read more

This is the third year we have used Montgomery Tent for our 2022 Rotary Club event in Noblesville, Indiana. It would have been 4 consecutive years but COVID got in the way in 2020. I can say, without any hesitation that they are the best and I will continue to contract them every year. My degree is in engineering, so I pay close attention to quality and service and there are several reasons for this 5 star rating. Read carefully as this will take a few minutes! 1. Cheryl, with whom I initiate the contract, is thorough, accommodating, responsive, and cooperative. She makes this entire process very simple. 2. They provide all the support information I need, such as a proposal for layout of the tables, the location of the exit signs, recommendations for the number of tables and chairs, etc. 3. A big one ... they are always on time. If they tell you they will be there to set up at 9:00, they will be there at 9:00. The same with the teardown. That small thing is very much appreciated. 4. They do excellent work. The tent is solid, it looks nice, it is clean, and it makes a good presentation for our fundraiser. 5. They are fast, efficient and thorough. The setup is difficult because there is an irrigation system in the park and we have to pay for damage if any of the stakes penetrate the pipes. We have never had a problem! The owner of the company comes out for the setup and makes sure the location is correct. He supervises the entire setup, due to this special requirement. 6. The crew is very friendly and courteous. They tolerate the fact that I watch the setup but they would do the same quality if I was there or not. 7. Their rates are very reasonable but, regardless, I would not use anyone else because of what I am getting for my dollar. Finally, this is the 7th year for our event, so this is not the first tent company I have used but it will be the last. They are that good. I have contracted many companies over my 46-year engineering career and they are as good as you can get. read more

Today I was calling around trying to get basic quotes on tents sizes 10x10 and 20x20.. I also needed quotes for tables and chairs. I called and Shelly answered.. she was extremely rude and hard to work with. My business would have been a decent amount of money for them but apparently they can't give quotes with out scheduling appointments with property managers. She told she knows what she's doing because they have been in business for so long but I just felt arrogance and a snippy attitude I would recommend going with one of the other tent company's in town that offer basic quotes over the phone and have great receptionist to talk to.. read more

BEWARE!!!! Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. When searching for tents for my company's event, I came across this company. I called and received a quote and I could barely get a word in. The girl who answers the phones, Shellie, is extremely rude and incapable of listening to her customers' needs. I made it clear we need a tent with table and chairs. The quote I received was cheaper (by at least $50) so I knew I had to continue to do business with them to save my company money. The first issue I had was with Shellie. She first insulted me by saying a man needs to meet the owner of the company to discuss the layout of the tent because women do not know that "sort of stuff". I have never been so insulted by a vendor when I wasn't even given a chance. Needless to say, I met with the owner and had all of the information he needed. The second issue was the scheduled time to pick up the tent. We had a pick up time set at 4pm that Friday and they never showed or called. I called and left several messages with Shellie and she finally called me back at 7pm after our gates were closed for the night. She told me the reason was because they got behind on another job, which I totally understand. The thing I do not understand is the lack of communication. A phone call would have sufficed. I had to make special arrangements on Saturday for them to pick up the tent since we are a transportation company and cannot have our docks closed until that following Monday. The third issue we had is that the company did not deliver the chairs with the tent and tables. We had to call the day of our event to have the chairs rushed over. We ended up getting the chairs and everything was okay. I received a separate invoice for the delivery of the chairs (keep in mind we already paid a delivery fee for the tent and tables). I tried speaking with Shellie about it and she was extremely rude and hung up on me. She told me we were no longer a customer of theirs, and quite frankly, she is right! I will never use them again for any personal or business function. This company is not worth the $50 in savings! YIKES! UPDATE (10/17/2014): Today, my employer sat me down asking me to remove my review because Shellie emailed threatening the company that they were going to sue. I have never felt so harassed by someone or some company. I never thought leaving a review of factual events was a crime. Freedom of speech is a beautiful thing especially when speaking the truth. Shellie and Montgomery Tent can keep harassing but eventually I will have my breaking point and have to take other actions. read more

Montgomery tent provided us with great service and a beautiful tent for my daughters quinceañera. When I couldn't decide on a size for the big even the owner came out and measured and plotted a good site for the tent. He did an amazing job. Everything was done to code. We also rented tables, chairs, linens, dance floor, lights, a large metal trough for ice and a bar. All was assembled and put exactly where I wanted it. When they came to pick up they were very quick and made it seem like there wasn't a massive party the night before. I highly recommend them. They were priced competitively and their crew was very professional. I'll definitely be giving them a call for our next event. read more

PLEASE READ THIS! I am an actual customer and I just had a VERY GOOD experience with Montgomery Tent & Awning. First - Shelly, the old office person, has been gone for a couple years. The current office manager is Cheryl and she is GREAT. She was very helpful, informative and pleasant. Cheryl and Kenny Montgomery (one of the owners) kept me informed at all times of exactly when they were coming to install the tent and when they were coming to take it down. In fact there were a couple of delays out of their control and they contacted me every time to explain the delay and provide a new time. I had no issues at all with their service. I would definitely use them again. read more
