I had a deep scratch on the hood of my car, and the only real solution was to sand the entire hood and repaint it. While I was shopping around for quotes my mechanic recommended that I talk to Chris from Montville Collision. Chris agreed that the only way to truly repair the scratch was to sand the hood and repaint it, and he gave me an estimate that was less than the other ones I had so far. Before he actually drew up the quote, though, he suggested that we try a quick fix which might make it "less noticeable." I agreed, and after a little clear coat, some UV treatment, a bit of light sanding and a buff job I'm standing at the front of my car trying to find where the scratch was. Total time in parking lot? 15 minutes. Chris could've said nothing and I would've paid him hundreds of dollars to sand the hood of my car. Instead, he went out of his way to do a favor for a complete stranger and now he's got a customer for life. Skilled, priced competitively, and honest...what more could you hope for?
