We visited Moobongri BBQ last Saturday to celebrate my fiancé's birthday with a party of 20 guests. The restaurant offers a private room for larger groups, which created a more intimate and enjoyable atmosphere for our celebration. One feature we really appreciated was the flexibility of the menu. We were able to order a variety of à la carte items or choose from the available packages, which was very convenient. Unlike some restaurants that require a fixed pre-set menu for large parties, Moobongri BBQ gave us the freedom to customize our order to fit everyone's preferences. We also want to thank the manager, Angie, for her outstanding assistance. I had originally reserved two tables of 10, and there was a small hiccup with the seating arrangement. Angie quickly accommodated our group and made sure everything was taken care of, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful celebration without any stress. Oh my! First time at this place and will definitely not be our last. The best part? It's the closest to my house than any other KBBQ place. Double win! The place is nice and clean with hood ranges above tables (ps: you still gonna smell like meat walking out of there though). The meat was higher quality than other AYCE places. My fav was the pork jowls...so yum! The fermented leek banchan paired so well with the wagyu briskets. Chefs kiss! Be sure to ask for some chili powder if you want to add some more heat to your meal. The portion was huge, 2 meat orders would be enough for 3 hungry adults like me or 4 normal adults. Now the star of this review is the service we received. Betty our server was exceptional. She was warm, attentive and even taught us some tricks to elevate our kbbq experience. She grilled our meat and make sure we got everything we needed and more. It was so nice to not be the one that has to grill like usual. Overall, nothing will compare to the kbbq in LA or Houston. Here's what we ordered A+) waygu brisket. Get. So tender and easy to eat. B) ribeye. More expensive. Meat is good but nothing to rave about like the brisket. B - ) steamed egg. Ww wanted the simple traditional one but they only had seafood based with cheese. Idk. I would skip next tlme. The seafood was not my favorite. Very strong B- ) bibimbap to go. Meat was skimpy. We came to celebrate a few birthdays and it was such a good choice! The combo B is a good value, we got the Beef Chadolbagi / Wagyu Brisket + Mugifuji Pork Belly + Mugifuji Moksal / Pork Collar + Hangjungsal / Pork Jowl with Kimchi Jjigae and Strawberry Soju. I don't say this lightly, but Moonbongri BBQ might be my favorite KBBQ I've ever had. From the moment we sat down, everything just worked. First off, they cook the meat for you, which instantly elevates the experience. No one at the table is stuck babysitting the grill, and the meat comes out perfectly cooked every time. The quality of the meats really stood out. The hangjungsal pork belly had beautiful layers of meat and fat, the gabeurisal pork cheek was soft, buttery, and full of flavor, and the beef sirloin was cooked just right. Everything tasted intentional and well sourced. And then there's the rice. Super well seasoned and topped with flamed cheese, which was an immediate yes for me. Add in the sliced radish kimchi fried rice and the gyeranjjim, and the table was stacked with comfort food done right. The vibe is fun and relaxed, making it easy to enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Honestly, the only complaint I have is that I didn't order more. Great spot! Came here with a friend for dinner on a Sunday night and had a truly lovely experience. I've never been to a spot with this kind of hot plate before, which was very neat. I also liked that the staff helped us with the cooking to ensure everything was done to perfection. We started with some kimchi soup that came out piping hot and flavorful. Then came the pork belly and steak, both of which were tender and just mouthwatering. The veggies and side accoutrements were also a nice tasty touch. We ended with the kimchi rice (with cheese!!) - a recommended specialty - no regrets there. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and as an extra bonus, they offer this really delicious hot water that is infused with corn silk and barely and yeah... I'm obsessed. If you know good Korean food, you'd agree it's hard to find truly good Korean food in Colorado. We happened to discover this spot, which opened in November 2025, just by driving by one Sunday afternoon and decided to give it a try. We ordered chadol (thinly sliced beef brisket) and gopchang (beef small intestine). With that pairing, we were served sunji haejangguk (hangover soup with blood sausage) and kimchi jeon. The prices are on the higher side, but you're paying for the attentive service and the fresh vegetable banchans (side dishes) that come with the meal. We especially loved how fresh everything tasted, including the soups that accompanied our order. The waitress cooked the meat for us and took great care of us throughout the entire meal, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a lovely experience and highly recommend this place if you're in town with your parents, friends, or for a business meeting. I hope they continue maintaining the freshness, quality, and level of service, and help elevate the standard of Korean food in Denver, which can sometimes feel lacking. While chefs in Denver have to contend with high elevation, dryness, and other environmental factors that may require recipe adjustments, great execution is absolutely possible. Amazing food and experience! We got the pork belly, pork jowl, steamed egg and doenjang-jjigae. All was phenomenal. I have a severe shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate me easily. I saw that this bbq place just opened on tik tok and we decided to come for dinner on Sunday around 7pm and there was about 5 other tables there. We ordered daechang, pork jowl, and brisket for our protein, we also got the steamed egg, kimchi soup, and ended our meal with the fried rice. The meat was very high quality and everything was also really good. We knew they just opened so service was a little slow and it took awhile to get everything and the food came out at weird times but it'll get better with time. Overall a very nice meal. We ordered the 4 protein bbq which was too much food for 3 adult males. I did have trouble distinguishing between cuts of pork. The beef was distinctive and overall tasty. The grilled kimchi was very good. The mild soup was very good and flavorful. I was surprised that there was no rice or starch offered in our meal. Service was uniformly good although we had as many as 4 servers as wait staff moved on to different tables. I would've preferred to work with the same person throughout the meal. Ambiance was fine. Each table has a grill and they have good ventilation without drowning out conversations. The location is a bit hidden in the back side of a strip mall. I went during the soft opening weekend and the food and service was phenomenal.. I got the combo in order to try different cuts of pork and the brisket at once. This place phenomenal. They specialize in Pork meats and they fly in fresh everyday from Canada! The pork cheeks was my first choice and it was so juicy and buttery, each slice just melted in my mouth. We also got the pork jowl and it paired nicely with their fermented bean sauce. The decor was very nice elegant and simple. The servers were very attentive and they also cooked the meats for you which is very nice. The only reason why it didn't get a 5 star is because their bonchon assortment was very small they only came out with 4 sides and I was kinda shocked seeing that, BUT their sides were VERY VERY GOOD.
