Very unique experience and was glad I got to visit. This is near Austin Beer Works, so it's a bit out there. And tip to NOT use Apple Maps as the ConcertDome on there is incorrect, took me to east Austin in a neighborhood. Thankfully, gave ample time to arrive so I made the quick 15 min drive up to the correct location. The show wasn't full, and I got tickets in the first row, which I almost think the second row may give a better view. First row you saw the musicians which was great, but found it a bit difficult to see the most of the visual aspects. They provide reclining chairs which are great, unless you have one like mine that would not stay back. Ended up having to put pressure the entire time just to recline and see the show. Thankfully I had my coat as well since it was a bit chilly inside. Also you can hear anyone across the way. At first, I thought I was losing my mind as I kept hearing a few people talk, but there was no one seated behind me. Once the announcer started talking, he informed us of the acoustics in the room and how your 'personal' conversation wouldn't be personal in here as it travels. Good to know! The musicians were great and did a phenomenal job. I love hearing the strings and seeing the talent they have.

Highly recommend date night at Concert Dome!! Came in for Kendrick Lamar show and it was incredible. The musicians are extremely skilled and the visuals matched perfectly. The chairs are very comfy too.

The ConcertDome is a new 360° immersive venue and live music experience which combines world-class live performances with state-of-the-art visuals. It is located Carsen Creek Ranch and it was hidden down a long dirt road in what appeared to be a field. I received tickets from a friend to see a string quartet play Radiohead songs. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. There was a sign directing me down the dirt road to the venue which was a bit different than the GPS location. When I arrived, there were plenty of parking spaces available in the field. You can see the dome from the parking lot and it reminded me of one of those space capsules on another planet. Themed cocktails & refreshments at The Dome-ain, our outdoor lounge are on site. There was no food available for purchase. There were 3 show times per night and you wait to get into the dome in a line. Waiting outside the venue is somewhat uncomfortable because it was muggy, hot and was being attacked mosquitos. There are 3 sections in the dome; core, floor and edge seating. I was seated in the floor area. Each section offers unique levels of proximity to the music, and recline angle. With comfortable reclinable seating arranged around the stage in concentric circles. My seat had a great view of the performance with only 100 seats available. The dome was air conditioned and very comfortable compared to the outdoor environment. Stunning 360° visuals transform the dome, extending the music beyond the stage and into a world of light and movement. The string quartet of the Radiohead songs along with the 360 immersion experience was breathtaking and exceeded my expectations. The stage in the center of the dome puts you closer to the performance. Projection mapping of immersive visuals transforms the dome around you as 50,000 lumens of light are projected on the dome ceiling. The visual and audio stimulus creates a complete immersive experience with a show that is intimate and unforgettable. Have already purchased tickets to attend another show!

This is a very cool concept. Driving up the gravel road. You immediately feel transported from downtown. As you step out on the grassy lot, you'll get hit with a sense of Vaseline lens nostalgia and possible cult welcome event, complete with smiling staff. Grab a drink at the bar and await entry as airplanes roar overhead. You'll be whisked to a lounger that dots the perimeter of the round, center stage. After brief intros, kick back and enjoy the psychedelic feeling of being in a Microsoft screensaver while some of your favorite (insert artist/genre/ theme) is carefully plucked from the strings before you to envelop the room in a soothing and cohesive hug. You can still hear the airplanes a bit and the dome has a few imperfections, but it's a cool, casual thing to do just inside the city that doesn't take up your whole night and feels transformative. Grab a beer around the corner at Live Oak Brewery before (or after, depending on your show time) the show.

A breathtaking concert experience. The visuals are state of the art. There is a bar and lounge outside of the venue with delicious cocktails and snacks. The seating is extremely comfortable as you have recliner seats for you to relax. A must see experience!

I saw this on a video marketing this week and immediately bought tickets to take my son. He loves music especially about sci-fi or space. This Saturday it was a concert with space images displayed. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I read a ton of good reviews. And it was the perfect event to break out of the ordinary. But oh-boy I wasn't expecting such a spectacle. The music is brilliant and gets to your bones in a good way. You feel like you're moving in a capsule alongside everyone around you. The experience is mesmerizing, unforgettable, and definitely likely to be shared and repeated. They've only been in the south location since May, crazy I know! They've done a fenomenal job with the assembly and production of these concerts. My son loved it! It was absolutely breathtaking. What a beautiful concept to share music and visuals. It relaxes you and engages you so much, its such a unique experience for the whole family.

It is definitely a classic Austin location that I hope will be around forever! I don't drink beer but they had some great drink specials for those who do. One of my friends was able to get a non-alcoholic beer, the other had a beer, and I had a couple of topo chicos. I think you can also order food there, but we didn't order anything. They also have decent parking options if not in their lot, on the street so we didn't have to walk too far. And I appreciated that Jane was playing at an earlier time. Her band's songs were oldies but goodies and they got several people out on the dance floor! I hope to find myself at Carousel Lounge again soon!

Shouldn't be overlooked! Not sure anything has changed in 50 years! One man was bartender, cook, bubbles blower, popcorn maker, and friendly welcomer to all who entered or wanted to chat. Very spacious inside. Drink prices are of a bygone era- they only sell beer and wine for alcohol options. Sound equipment was good I'm told. A classic spot.

Should you make a reservation before you go? perhaps. Did we need the one we made for this past…read moreSunday on Memorial Day weekend? Not when we went right at 11a. As I walked up to the easy to find and steps from the PURPLE PARKING GARAGE restaurant, I was already vibing off the patio. Totally giving vacay veranda. The hostess greeted me with a smile, and I dipped into the restrooms before I asked about our table. Of course, I went for a patio table and while I didn't enjoy the occasional fly zipping around, the shaded and breezy tables were perfection on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was Jamie and he was absolutely a DREAM. I was fully prepared for that awkward wait at a table alone when you're lunch date is running late and you have no idea exactly how late... From the moment I was seated alone, Jamie introduced himself, was warm, and fully engaged in manifesting a wonderful experience. He was mindful about sharing just enough with me about the scratch to table mission they have at Doc Bs while saving the good stuff for when both my friend and I were present. My friend ended up going with their special and it was TO DIE FOR!!! I want to say it was Chilean Ahi Tuna Salad? It was some sort of voodoo magic seared onto the Tuna, and they present it like dominoes across the bottom of a giant pile of delightful, chopped salad. I did the Buffalo Chicken Salad, and I ate every crunchy blue cheese tickled bite! Waiting on a friend too? My safe go-to order was the Guacamole! They bring it out with the Sweet Potato Chips - HOUSE MADE and Jamie gave me Tortilla chips too in case my friend preferred something different. They have fans on the patio, so it's not too hot. I'd complain they didn't have the wine I wanted, but when they didn't have my first request, not only did they bring me my 2nd request, but the gentleman from behind the bar walked over a taste of a comparable wine to the one I had originally chosen and I absolutely appreciate that extra effort to make sure I felt valued and seen. Way to go, Doc Bs! **Note: When a fly decided to take a dive and a swim relay in my glass of wine, they didn't bat a lash and replaced the glass for me and seamlessly disposed of Fly Guy in all his drunken Memorial Day glory! Jamie is a treasure. That kid is going places, very impressive spirit.

You'll certainly pay for it, but at least you're getting high-quality food and drinks. I absolutely adore the grilled artichokes, which don't need the tartar sauce because they're already so rich and flavorful, but it kills me that it's $20 for a starter with 4 trimmed halves. The guacamole with sweet potato chips is also superlative, and reasonably substantial in terms of portion size and satiation. For the best value, definitely hit up the lunch menu, where you can get a "wok out" bowl with tofu; a highly competent vegan option. I only go once every year or two, but service is always on point and I never walk away unhappy with my meal. Just make sure you have the budget for it!

The Margaritas are strong and boozy , making it one of the strongest in North Austin in taste. They ran out of a beer we wanted so they suggested another local brew. It was so great that we went to the brewery a couple days later. Kudos to the great service! As for the food, it was a pretty big menu and everything was good. I thought my country fried steak was a little on the salty side, but everything, especially the potatoes, was nice and hot! My buddy got a good looking burger. She persuaded me to see a live band at the Water Trough (my first time there). Reluctantly, I agreed to do so (went coughing and screaming...literally and figuratively). We got to the Water Trough about 8:30 pm and she ordered a drink. The band sounded down home and soulful. She thought they would play until 11 pm. Unfortunately, that was not the case. They played until 9 pm and ended their set. Our server came over and told us that the kitchen had closed at 8:30 pm and she was not aware when she gave us menus. Our server was very nice, but seemed extremely tired. Therefore, my friend cancelled her drink. We decided to find another restaurant in the domain that had good food. The Water Trough is a funky, eclectic restaurant and bar in the Lone Star hotel at the Domain (directly across the street from Dillard's and Maggiano's). It has indoor outdoor seating which is seamless between the two. The wooden ceiling is high and intricate...really a piece of art. The Water Trough overlooks a pool at the Lone Star hotel. Very cool place...will definitely be back.
