I go to a lot of concerts. Specifically, I go to an awful lot of Eagles concerts. I call it Eagles tourism. It's a thing. So when I ended up in Austin, I knew it would be a good show. I haven't been to the Moody Center. I'm very glad they played there because it was an excellent venue. I like sitting on the floor and I love comfortable seats. These were fine. Comfortably spaced, pretty much as expected. The thing that was unexpected was the acoustics--considerably better than pretty much any arena that they've played in recently. I've been to quite a few! Also unexpected was the friendliness of the ushers. One thing that seems to be happening lately is a push to keep people on the floor in their seats. Granted, it's rude to stand up for an entire concert when everybody behind you is seated. But there are times when everybody gets on their feet. And that's really OK! These ushers were awesome. They did politely ask the rogue dancing girl to sit down a couple of times, but the rest of us could stand up and cheer and maybe dance a little bit before returning to our seats. That's the way it should be. Yes, people were complaining about the drinks being expensive. (How much did you pay for that ticket, bro?) Quite frankly, I have not been to an arena where there has been bargain prices on drinks. I'm guessing that's for a reason. As someone who has been barfed on at a concert, I'm OK paying extra so that the person next to me doesn't overindulge. I appreciated the self-serve kiosks too. I thought it was a little weird that we had to pour the cans into cups. I'm guessing that was a safety issue? They're sure were a lot of spilled cups on the floor by the end of the night. It was a great show. The set was wonderful. And in fact, looked better better in Austin than it did at the Forum or in Indianapolis. I don't know enough about stage stuff to explain the difference, but it seemed the projection had higher definition, and the stage pieces just looked better overall. Quite frankly, the Eagles get better every time I see them. Seeing them in a venue like this was a real treat, and I truly appreciate it! read more

Overpriced bottled water at $6 each (as expected), but more importantly, the venue would not allow me to use the restroom before we left. The Simple Minds concert ended at 10:57pm per the timestamp on the photo I took of the band taking their bow, and we went immediately towards the escalator leading up towards the exit. After getting off the escalator while still inside the venue, I turned to the right to go use the restroom, and the security team said the restrooms were closed and forced us all outside. I checked my watch and it was 11:01pm. The show had just ended four minutes earlier and they said the restrooms were closed. How inhumane. read more

Seen several acts here: George Strait and Willie The Eagles Leon Bridges All great acts but all sounded terrible. The acoustics are just shite. Super pricey. From tickets to concessions, you know you're going to pay a premium for concessions but these prices are ridiculous. Attended 3 recent concerts here, such a great venue. Saw Paramore, Jhene Aiko, and Kacey Musgraves. The sounds quality is excellent even at the highest seats. It's easy to find your section and the staff is so helpful in finding your seats. Only negative thing is the drinks are overpriced, especially for cocktails I wish you had more affordable choices of liquor. But a great venue for live music for sure read more

1 Star for non concert events. Cirque du Soleil was fine but I was 5 rows from the front. Where do I begin, I have sat on the floor, in both balconies sound is TERRIBLE. It's muddy, it echoes weird, bad for concerts. Seating, if you are the size of an adult you are going to be sitting on top of your neighbor, touching knees, and being WAY too close together. Logistics, the stairs in that place are never ending, and they are STEEP. When you hear how commercial airlines have increased seating by cramming everything together this place takes it to another level. Entries, there is only one that I'm aware of but it's a "circle" so if you are on the other side well you be walking which is fine, but how the heck do you get out of there if you are upstairs? One escalator? I don't know how this place passed the fire inspection, but anyways. I really hope it starts getting around that this place is TERRIBLE and artists shouldn't book shows there. The acoustics are actually pretty awesome. The people working at the venue are friendly and helpful. The place itself doesn't feel huge. To see a big name act here would be amazing. Dave Chappelle put on an amazing show, and I was grateful to have the chance to see him here. I did not use any of the food services, so I cannot comment on that side of the story. So why two stars? Ride-share. No, it is not bad. No, it is not terrible. It is, in fact, the worst setup I have ever seen in my life. Yes, there are bigger events in tougher places where everything is chaos and trying to find a ride is tough. You kind of expect that. Here, however, at the Moody Center in Austin you would think there would be some reasonable way to define where pickups would be. No, not here. Yes, there is a sign that says go to the corner of these two streets but when you get there you are wondering if it was a joke. The police can't even tell you where to go. On top of this, if you are not from the area, trying to get oriented at night here is a Survivor challenge. There is just no excuse for the way they are handling it to the point where it is not safe for the passengers or people trying to pick them up. read more

Going to the Moody Center is always a treat! I got suite tickets to see the UT Women's Basketball game against Baylor and had an awesome experience. To get to the suite level, there a separate entrance so no fuss or waiting in line. Plus if you want to go down to the lower level, there are private elevators for use that have attendants to get you to where you need to be. The bathrooms in the suite level are nice, clean, and stylish. The suite itself is nice and spacious. If you don't like being amongst a crowd, it's fantastic. The food stands went fast and there wasn't really much of a wait. I also love all the artwork in the Moody Center itself. I had a great VIP experience and hope to do it again soon! read more

Santana is one of the artists on my bucket list. I was SO excited to be seeing not just Santana, but Counting Crows. Tons of core memories in my early 20's with them, for sure. First, the seats are the worst. You pay almost $200 for a seat and it's a toddler stadium seat. The seats we had and the section we were a good spot, all things considered (top floor, looking down into center stage area), but they are SO small and SO close together and SO uncomfortable! The sound was also weird. It just wasn't a good system... I don't know - it was really bad. The pricing on everything is wildly insane. Eat and drink before you get here. Seriously. You could go to Fogo, Pappadeaux, or similar pricey ticket dinners, have an excellent dinner and few drinks and still come out ahead as opposed to getting a couple of snacks, a beer and a water here. I'm glad I got to see Santana, but it just seems awful that pricing is what it is for such horrible seating and sound quality that is severely lacking. read more

I got a chance to check out the moody center for UFC fight night in June. I knew from previous reviews that food and drinks were expensive. I ended up arriving later to this event so I could grab food and drinks elsewhere to save some extra cash. I did get two drinks while here and each time my husband and I spent a BS amount of $35. Wtf?! This is not because of inflation either. I guess it's the need to pay for the new big shiny building. We scored free tickets up in 210 which the seats were ok. I couldn't really see the fighters that well and mostly watched the big screens. Kind of defeats the purpose of going to live fights? The seat size and leg room was decent. Overall not super impressed and recommend eating and grabbing a few drinks ahead of time. read more

This was my first time attending the Moody center for an event and I will have to admit it's a great venue for live events. We were in town from Houston Texas to watch the live UFC event and we had an amazing time. We had really good floor seats but from the looks of it every seat at this venue would've been just fine. Luckily we were able to get some floor seats at a great price. I really enjoy the venue. I do wish they had restaurants on the floor leveler at or restrooms for that matter. They didn't so we had to go up a few flights of stairs to access all of that. I will definitely come back to Austin for the UFC whenever it comes back. Great venue and a great experience. The staff is helpful and nice , the venue is clean and it was pretty easy to grab concessions and drinks. My only downside is that they ask for tips on pretty much anything. i don't mind tipping the bartenders but the dude grabbing my merch? went to check out and was hit with a tip option and my boyfriend felt awkward ( i would have clicked 0 lol ) and tipped 10% which was like 40$. Then when i grabbed my pretzel and dr pepper from the concessions area which is kinda like a lil gas station you grab everything yourself i was also asked for a tip on that screen too! The workers are kind but all they are doing is standing there watching people check out and letting us know we have to put the dr pepper into a cup instead ( atleast pour the drink for me if u want a tip lol something ) good experience but stop asking for tips at every corner it's ruining tipping for people who actually work off it. read more

Opened in April 2022, the new Moody Center on the campus of the University of Texas (UT) in Austin is a state-of-the-art venue for live music performances and home to the UT men's and women's basketball events. Located on a former parking lot south of UT's soccer and track field, the $375 million facility is the most expensive college arena ever built. It sits on 530,000 acres of land that was formally used as a parking lot south of UT's soccer and track field. The new multi-purpose arena has 15,000+ seats with the largest event floor in the nation. It has 2,000 club seats, 57 loge boxes, 44 porch suites, 3 premium clubs, and a VIP club. It was named after the Moody Foundation that donated $137 million to help building the state-of-the-art facility. Replacing the Frank Erwin Center, the Moody Center is fully encircled with glass windows to take advantage of the sunlight. Its signature canopy is made of real wood and extends far beyond the building on all sides. It is environmentally friendly, with 95% of construction waste from landfills was used to build the facility and includes energy savings from irrigation systems technology and the selection of plants using less water. 200-year-old oak trees were replanted on site. The interior has large, retractable fabric panels that can fold down, thereby allowing for audiences of 5,000 people to 15,000 people. The outdoor area is spacious and can handle food trucks, bars, and lounges with a smaller stage for live music pre-show festivities for concerts and tailgates before basketball and football games, as well as for other community events. I attended a One Ok Rock concert at Moody Stadium on 2/28/23 and just loved the newness of the center. It was very clean, spacious, and had very comfortable seats. The seats are angle appropriately, as you can see above the heads of those sitting in front of you. Prior to the concert, we purchased a delicious smoked brisket sandwich and fries from Stubb's BBQ. Note that Moody Center is a cashless facility so only credit/debit cards are used for purchases. Based on other reviews, parking appears to be a problem, as there may be insufficient parking spaces; however, we did not have any, as our friends dropped us off and picked us up. We also went early to avoid any traffic congestion. As it was the first time in the Moody Center, staff was positioned in many areas. Any questions, just ask, and they will direct you to the right area. Staff was personable, smiling, and willing to help. One Ok Rock is my favorite alternative rock group. Hailing from Japan, the foursome have many hit songs since 2007 and is presently touring the US and Canada with the group Muse and Evanescence. One Ok Rock is promoting their current album, Luxury Disease. The lead vocalist, Taka, has a powerful voice with a great vocal range and control, writing the group's songs and singing them in both Japanese and English lyrics with much emotion. The highly energetic group members put in an entertaining show with Toru on lead guitar, Ryota on bass guitar, Tomoya on drums, and Taka as lead vocalist. They are so popular in Japan that they can easily draw in 110,000 people for back-to-back concerts at Tokyo Dome; and even then, tickets are sold on a lottery basis, as the venue is not able to accommodate all that want to see them. They are relatively unknown outside of Japan and thus, are expanding their fan base to other countries. Lol, no, I'm not a groupie, but just love their music and Taka's voice. So, it was a no brainer for me to attend their concert at Moody Center, as I was also able to meet up with my pen pal that I've been writing to in the past 63 years. I enjoyed the concert immensely, as the state-of-the-art technology allowed for a perfect sound system and great viewing for this concert. The music entertainment industry had previously passed up Austin for other cities with better facilities, but now, the Moody Center has drawn interest from agents, promoters, and artists for its first-class facility. I would be most happy to return if given an opportunity to view another concert at the Moody Center! read more

Love the new arena! Don't know that there's a bad seat in the house. We sat above the student section at a UT game, which required some standing, but view was great. The premium seating was close quarters, but not any closer than any other arena. Wish they had more gluten-free options, but love the Austin restaurants they brought in. I wasn't very impressed with the food/drink selection in the Indeed Club. But the deco is fun. Same for the concourse! Easy entry with lots of doors and friendly staff. read more

If you attend an event here, don't get seats in the upper sections. The acoustics are terrible there. You can't hear the vocals very well. But the sound is pretty good at the lower levels. There are stations that have grab and go both for beverages and for hot foods. You just scan and pay - self checkout. That does help keep the lines for food and drink reasonable. read more

The moody center is one of the best venues in Austin. Its huge, with a good amount of side stores as well. They provide elevators and escalators for easy movement. The lighting at night is such a vibe, and the music is pretty good as well. Staff were pretty nice too, and kindly helped me find my section. My only problem was that my bag was too big so I had to walk around the entire building, but that was on me. Also, a bottle of water is around $5.50 which for me is way too much for water. read more

Went to Santana the other night and it sucked! Nothing to do with Santana or Counting Crows. The seats were worthless! Couldn't see shit, and the sound was like listening under water. It was a total waste of money. They shouldn't sell tickets to the seats on the far left/right flanks of the stage - it's a rip off. The other rip off are the prices the greedy bastards charge for drinks. $5 for small bottle of water, $18 for a margarita in a can. Are they so expensive because it's a difficult location to access? Hell no! They're expensive because they got u by the nuts and they take full advantage of it. That's called greed!! read more

Living here for almost two years, I've denied myself the luxury & excitement of seeing a huge live concert, focusing on experiencing the city on an intimate level. Well, when my favorite band, The Cure comes to town, it's time to "Catch" a live show guaranteed to be "Hot Hot Hot!" FYI, I will be slipping in The Cure references b/c I like to amuse myself & hopefully it will make whomever reads this smile. On a side note, ticketmaster decided to "Torture" the fans w/ fees higher than the tickets themselves. In an admirable move, Robert Smith made some moves for rebates but nevertheless I had to get my tickets from vividseats. "The Walk" from a parking garage to the Moody Center is a good trek but I run 1/2 marathons so I can take it. Following the crowds on "Fascination Street" was most enjoyable for me as I've never seen UT's campus which is very nice & lots of police made it feel safe. I meandered w/ "A Forest" of goth fans dressed in their finest & not so finest black attire. While I poke fun, these are good & kind fans, bound by love for a great band. The Cure has the broadest spectrum of emotions of any band, moving gracefully from desperate depths of despair to the highest joys. Anyways, back to the Moody Center, it's a typical BB/multipurpose arena standing majestically on a small hill. Architecturally it's not exactly a piece de resistance on campus but it's not an eye sore. After entering the simple "Labyrinth" I noted there are some cool local murals & paintings adoring a lot of white space. This includes a huge painting of AUSTIN, so be sure to snap "Pictures of You" to prove you were there! Next there's lots of venders selling swag, food and drinks w/ relatively small lines which moved quickly. As an extrovert I talked w/ many of the food purveyors and ushers, all were pleasant in nature. I regret to say I'm on a diet so "All I wanted" was popcorn and water. I won't elaborate any further on snacks as "Boys Don't Cry" about concessions they aren't allowed to eat. The sections from the main corridor where clearly labeled as portals. Upon entering "The Snakepit" aka main arena you'll notice there isn't really a bad seat. I've been to gyms that have some really steep stairs but fortunately these are reasonable. The acoustics aren't optimal but to the untrained ear I believe most can't hear the shortcomings. The seats that were "Close to Me" weren't a problem in terms of elbow room but luckily there wasn't a giant around me. As far as temperature, it was relatively cool and a comfortable place to wear jeans or shorts. I'll point out it was "At Night" so the temperature might fluctuate depending on the outside temp. The show was "Just Like Heaven" as Robert Smith released deep sorrow & anger sprinkled with joy here & there. The open space in the arena allowed the light show to flourish while the crowd sung "Like Cockatoos." As for oxygen alternatives that pervade many concerts, I didn't partake nor feel "High" but it was there. I left along w/ the crowd left at roughly "10:15 Saturday Night" (j/k it was 11:20 Sun) and it was very well-mannered exiting. Overall, "A Night Like This" was enhanced by the quality of The Moody Center. The security was good, the snacks were plentiful along with the beverages, the ambiance was above average and getting around was easy. I was very satisfied with my experience. Now that I've been to The Moody Center, I'll be back at least "One More Time" for Duran Duran in a month. If you have any apprehensions or "Sinking" feelings about the venue, you'll be fine. read more

We just went there for the first time this past weekend for the I heart country festival. We found parking for $10 down the street on the campus area. The walk was about 10-15 min which wasn't bad. When we finally got in there were a lot of food vendors as well as little scan and go spots for drinks and small snacks which were nice. Center was big. We had to ask a couple people where to go. The staff they hired we very friendly and helpful. We had floor seats. Seats were really nice padded folding chairs very comfortable. We had great seats. Leaving the center it didn't take too long to get to the stairs to get out and where we ended up parking made it really easy to leave the area and back to the freeway. read more

Aesthetically, it is nice. Also, like the technology used in the venue for screening and self check outs and and the concession options are good. However, all of this is overshadowed by the horrible, non-existent parking situation. I even pre-paid for parking at my first event only to get to the parking structure and was told that it was full. I was then directed to another lot, also full. Directed to a third lot--you guessed it, FULL! One hour later we are late to the concert. Second experience, we thought the first experience was awful because it was their initial opening and they didn't have all their ducks in a row yet. Well, went through the same thing. Couldn't find parking, ended up parking next to the venue for $60 so we wouldn't miss the show. Two thumbs down. read more

Depeche Mode 2023. This is a quick review because everyone knows about the new Moody Center. What I can tell you is that I have never experienced anything like it. Although the arena is smaller than the Erwin Center, the modern design, layout and amenities are exceptional. If you want an adult drink you can go to a bar. If you want a single beer and a snack they have a small concession areas similar to convenience stores with self checkout stations. I love it and I enjoyed the concert very much. Go! read more

I was excited to finally get to experience the new Moody center. We scored some cheap tickets to the Kane Brown concert before the PBR competition. First thing to note is to not use their parking garages advertised when you buy tickets. The cheapest was offered for $40 parking. We instead took an Uber and spent half that amount round trip. There are also other parking garages around that area that are cheaper. The venue was smaller than I imagined it to be and it also had quite a few concessions from trendy Austin restaurants. The prices are high, as expected. A beer was anywhere from $13-$18 and there were self serve checkout kiosks, which was convenient. I didn't have to wait in a long line to get into the venue or to get a beer. The lines to the restrooms were long at times. The acoustics for the concert were not great. I wasn't sure if this was the norm or just the setup that night. read more

I saw cirque du soleil here last night. Did you get the email about how early parking and the doors open? Yeah, I did. What did I learn? I should have left the house a lot earlier! My husband and girls have been here before (they saw the Harlem Globetrotters and Hot Wheels here) and they did have a great time then. I did love the show and the facility. I did not like the $55 parking cost! But, it's downtown so I guess this is what we have to prepare for! Had such a blast seeing Michael Buble at the Moody Center! The Moody Center itself was a nice facility, very new, very reminiscent of the Frank Erwin with the round concourse of it. Plenty of bathrooms and food options are available. The seats are nice and there's cup holders on the ones in front of you which is always great to see cause who wants to accidentally knock over their drink. Only issue I had is that there's not a handicap drop off point at the door. The center is on Campus, close to the stadium, so of course parking is a mess and everyone, even the handicapped, have to do some walking. I had to leave my mom at the pedestrian entrance to go find a place to park, then walk back to get her and wheel her up to the venue. Other than parking and ADA access the place was great. read more

Overall, I'd say this venue is awesome! I've been to 2 concerts and 1 comedy show here so far. The sound quality is good, lights and stage setups for the 3 shows I've been to so far have been great. Even sitting in the top section each time, I could still see fairly well (despite my mediocre eyesight, even with contacts). Parking around the venue isn't easy- I'd suggest doing one of the nearby parking garages that is listed in the e-mail you receive with your tickets for the event you are attending, it just makes it a lot easier. The few times I've been, there were 3 different price points in varying proximity to the venue. Usually I've done the lowest or mid-tier price point option and you have to walk about but it's not terrible. The venue itself is brand new and super nice. There are tons of bars and bathrooms, multiple food options and several grab and go options for concessions like water, sodas, candy, etc. A water is $5 and a rambler sparkling water is $6 though, which is a lot in my opinion. I haven't gotten concessions or food from there so I don't know the price points or if it's good, but Tony C's pizza is one of the options and I know I like their pizza. I need to research if you can bring an empty water bottle to fill up once inside, as not everyone wants to pay those prices for water. At the comedy show last night, they had multiple merch tables which was nice. I didn't look for merch at the 2 concerts I went to so not sure if that setup was just for this show or if that's the norm. I went into the Southwest entry and the line was super long because you have to go through a metal detector, but there isn't a table to put your phone and purse on before you walk through the metal detector, so TONS of people were getting stopped and had to put their stuff on a side table to get searched and then walk through the metal detectors again. It was sooooo inefficient and poorly planned. Frank Erwin was not set up that way, so it was very surprising how poorly this was planned. I don't know if other entrances had that same problem- hopefully not! If you are on the second floor, I'd recommend going through the East Gate entrance instead of one of the south gates. read more

A lot of 1sts this night! 1st time to the Moody Center & 1st fight!!! Pretty interesting...it was for fighters off You Tube. We had floor seats, so I couldn't speak much on views from higher up, but as we walked in it was a pretty good view. The lighting was also awesome! I will say though be prepared to pay high dollar for drinks. I would suggest definitely pre-gaming before to avoid burning such a big hole in your pocket! read more

I promised I'd be back to share my experience after having attended a concert at the new Moody Center (MC), and I've waited a week to collect my thoughts. I'm going with an "OK" 3-star rating, as some things are amazing and some things are not as they should be, hopefully to improve over time. Check my original review for detailed tips on getting tickets & parking. Since I've covered that piece already, not much will be shared here on that. On with the update.... 1. Prices: 0 stars. This place is the most expensive venue in town on every level from parking, drinks, food, event tickets & fees, and merchandise. You can get a water for $5 and a soda for $6; everything else is $11+, with cocktails going up to $28 and beyond! For a property on land owned by the citizens of Texas, this is wholly unacceptable. Mr. McConaughey and his partners in Oakview Group (who developed this venue) need to do something about this ASAP. Students at UT and working-class residents of this city should not be entirely priced out of attending events at MC, which is intended to be the premier venue in the state for national and international touring acts. At the least, offer a student discount and create some sort of "repeat attendee" club (one not reserved for just billionaires) so that working folks spending their hard-earned dollars to attend several shows in a year can get some kind of break on concessions. 2. Pedestrian access & flow OUTSIDE of the facility: 1 star. There is still ongoing construction around the venue and not enough signage to indicate safe paths for pedestrians & approved pick-up/drop-off zones; yes, some of this info is on the website, but most people are obviously not reading that in advance. Some sidewalks around the exterior have dead-ends, but there's no sign to warn "Don't go this way or you'll be stuck!" The official rideshare drop-off/pick-up is over at the Erwin center (several blocks away), but no one is outside on the road directing people or enforcing this, so there is a cluster**** of crowds and illegally stopped cars on the IH35 southbound access road right outside the venue after the show. It's a mess and someone is going to get hurt! 3. As of the 4/20 opening night, bathrooms remained unfinished but functional. I'm sure the attention to aesthetics shown throughout the other areas will eventually be applied to these spaces, but on opening night, they looked like someone forgot to complete the finishes & punch list in these spaces, and there was no decor/color/artwork/signage whatsoever. On the plus side, I (a woman who requires a stall) never had to wait in a line once to use the restroom - way to go on that one! 4. The Look: 5 stars. Speaking of aesthetics, as expected, this place is just GORGEOUS! The design team has done an incredible job of creating a showplace for design & Austin-style. From the outdoor lawn & terrace/balcony with Capitol views on the west side to the light-filled atriums in the interior lobbies to the massive escalators to the many impressive murals, there is so much to see at MC and somehow, it never feels crowded inside. Be sure to get in as early as you can to have time to tour the facility and see all the vantage points. If you approach from the northeast side, don't miss the fun sidewalk panels with quotes from famous Texans. 5. Tech Elements: 4.5 stars. Modern technology is apparent in almost every interaction you have with the venue, from pre-show alerts to paying for concessions (all done through your phone & self-service kiosks) to entry points (scan your phone for entry) to information lookup (use the MoodyCenterATX app) to free wifi (connect to #MoodyCenterWIFI w/ no password required) to high-end LED screens everywhere. This is great for people with the latest smartphones & a comfort level with tech, but it may be a bit annoying for others. If your friend bought tix for the group, make sure they have transferred them to each person, as you'll need that e-ticket on your phone to get back to your seat after you go to the restroom (for example). 6. Concert Experience: 4 stars. Our seats were in an odd side-stage area (Section 105 below the Dell Club) but we found the sound & views to be great, and it was easy to get around to quickly visit the restroom or bar as needed during the show. I especially appreciated the video screen giving us a front-row perspective for times when the artist was facing away from us. I wish they'd use the screen during the opening act, too, but I guess the camera crew isn't on duty then. Weirdly, there were already missing lines of pixels on the video screen on opening night; did someone already damage this thing? We found our seats & leg-room to be reasonably comfortable, even for my 6ft 2 date. I've several upcoming shows w/ seats at other locations around the venue, including in the GA pit on the floor, so I'll have to see what I think from there and let y'all know. read more

This place is the worst music venue experience of my life. No exaggeration. The building looks cool from the outside but the actual design and functionality of the interior and placement of entrances and lack of obvious exits is mind blowing. I really can't believe this place is up to code and would not be the slightest bit supervised if some horrible tragedy occurs here. On top of that, the drinks are ridiculously over priced and the entire experience feels like you're getting fleeced from the moment you step in. They also do not allow re-entry under any circumstances. My lady was feeling sick and needed to leave early and I was told that I would not be allowed back in only 45 minutes into the show. This place sucks. I was looking forward to it and expecting it to be a great experience. I will never be back and will actively be advising people not to go for any reason. My wife dragged me to see Pink. The performance was actually excellent I recommend going to see her. This review is for The Moody Center venue. They should be ashamed to charge $250 for EACH ticket for what they call "seats". Very tiny. They felt ok at first but after sitting in them for hours I was in pain in my knees and back to the point that I wasn't sure zi would be able to make the trek back to the parking garage several blocks away. I absolutely will do everything in my power to NEVER go there again. read more

The food available on the concourse is varied and very good quality. Typically stadium food is less than desirable and a disappointment. Not here! Austin's best "fast food" is available. The food varies from pizza, soft pretzels, and the worlds best Belgian fries in the world. (I won't tell you where they are) Explore the bbq tacos and more. Men's U.T. basketball games are packed full of excitement. Expect approximately 9-10 thousand fellow longhorns in a perfect indoor stadium. The concourse has a repeat of bar, restrooms and food court. It's designed to a "no waiting for anything" concept! The beverage section has a "grab it scan it and go concept" no more waiting in beer lines, it's all self serve and fast!! Great center to see a concert but consider alternatives for parking! It can get costly if you can find parking on the street, if not.....don't be like us and end up paying $65 to end up at a hotel parking lot for about 5 hours lol. I didn't see any ramps but am sure or hopeful they meet ADA for wheelchairs accessibility or just for the injured! The halls are very roomy once you reach your lobby to your seats. There were bars on each floor so don't be like us and assume it's the only bar and buy a few drinks before climbing stairs lol. Audio was great and even though we had nose bleed seats, we were still able to view the show. read more

Love the venue, there is really no bad seat as they all allow you to see the stage and performers very well. The facility is very clean. There is no ample parking as most of the parking lots and street spots are reserved for UT permits only. The garage that is close to the event center is only for those who prepaid. The attendant did not offer any assistance/suggestions for another garage. We ended up parking several blocks away, in a neighborhood, after circling the center for about 20 minutes.
