i made a appt online, for a mani pedi. A teenage boy started with my pedicure. but he kept going back and forth to the reception, the entire time wearing the gloves he was wearing for my pedicure. so gross but whatever, he did fine with everything except he took about an hour before he started painting my nails. then when he did, he took so long and such a bad job, his mom (the owner?) came over and took off the almost finished polish off all my toes and restarted completely. She also recut my nails and cut they way way way too short that they have been hurting for days now. and she redid my polish and than a man starts doing my mani. he wasn't really watching when using the file machine thing, and hurt me a couple times. and then he soaked my nails in alcohol with tin foil wrapped around my fingers. He did this twice, and the second time he definitely left them on for way too long that i almost said something. But most importantly he put so much alcohol in each tinfoil wrapping that it was splashing everywhere. all over my seat, clothes, and all over my hands. i've never had someone put so much alcohol in the tinfoil before and be so careless about it. then the lady (the owner?) did my full dip manicure. she didn't really do a good job. i did a plain pink color. and i didn't ask for extensions or anything. she had to redo 3 nails and kept trying to fix her mistakes but they ended up with a very splotchy top coat. Then after being there from 11:15-2:15 for a mani pedi, they charged me $95, i didn't know how much they charged tbh and i needed to go. but then after i paid, the guy said its actually $85, he had to refund me and i had to repay. so overall it was bad for a basic mani pedi situation, i wouldn't go back or recommend at all. update: it's been 4 days since i got my nails done and 3 of nails have already chipped... read more

I have given this place two chances - both I was a bit disappointed. First I came in for a pedicure with callus removal. For a regular pedicure, they decided to file/rough up the tops of my toenails, which has left them extremely rigid & uneven, and it was so hard to get the polish out of the ridges when I removed it. More recently, I came for an acrylics removal. He burned my cuticles with the drill on multiple fingers, some were even bleeding. I was visibly in pain, and he cracked a joke saying "no more!" But proceeded to do it again. At the end, he buffed my nails with the large buffer you use on calluses on your feet, now I have scabs/hangnails under my nail bed on EVERY. FINGER. And it hurt so bad!! My nails have never looked worse! And it was $20 just to remove the acrylics, nothing else. I've only ever paid $10 or $15 max for that. read more

I came by on my birthday and Elena gave me an amazing gel manicure (inclusive of gorgeous nail art) while Amy gave me a wonderful and relaxing spa pedicure. Everyone was very caring and regularly checked in to ensure I was comfortable. The service is THE WORST I have ever experienced in all my life and this is no exaggeration. I booked an appointment at Moonlight on their website weeks prior to a wedding I was attending for a Monday at 9:30am. The website lets you know that they will reach out to you to confirm the appointment, which they did, and even days/hours leading up to the appointment, I got several text messages saying "don't forget about your appointment on Monday at 9:30am!" So, I was pumped! On the day of my appointment, I was running few minutes (8 minutes) late, called twice and left messages to let them know about my tardiness and no one answered. I get to the salon and the door is locked. I ended up going to a different salon (Lotus Nail) to get them done and a few hours later someone from the salon called me back and said I could still come in. I explained how I already came and no one was there nor did anyone answer the phone. Their response - an older gentleman it sounded like - said to me, verbatim "What do you expect us to do? Fly here? We were late just come in now." ??? I explained that the website + text messages confirmed my appointment several times so there should be no reason why I should come later nor should I have been treated that way. I hung up and moments later someone new called, a woman, who apologized and offered me a discount to come back and guaranteed I wouldn't be serviced by the man that I spoke to on the phone who was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Thus, I accepted and booked an appointment for my next vacation. Fast forward to this appointment, I walk in ON TIME and the salon is empty with the exception of one older, short (like 5'5-5'6) man who was sitting on the pedicure seats scrolling his phone. He slowly walked to the front desk and this is the conversation we had: Him: what do you want? Me: ...I have an appointment...is anyone else working today? Him: No only me. Me: I had an appointment months ago and had a negative experience with a gentleman on the phone who works here - I think it may have been you - and I was told by Kim that I would not have to work with you but rather a female nail tech. Him: well then come later or I can do for you right now what do you want? Me: I made my appointment for right now? What time do other people come in? Him: I don't know Me: So how do I know when to come in later? Him: I don't know just come later Me: What time? Him: later Me: Have a good day. I won't be coming back here. I was verbally assaulted here- I asked the man if I could go to the bathroom and he ignored me (literally just tell me no sorry it'll mess up the process I don't care but don't ignore me??) and when I mentioned there was a piece of fluff on my nail (which I said nicely I was not attacking him at all) he said to me "I'm going to drill that off! I love Yes! Nails. The owner (the male) was so meticulous the entire time with my dip manicure!! I love that he used the buffer to thin out the dip on my nails...most salons I've been to don't buffer it out enough so it creates a thick layer. He also used the dip top coat polish instead of a gel top coat, which is the right way to do it!!...some places don't do that, which makes the gel top coat chip in a week. The best gel manicure I've ever had, let alone overall manicure. I called a couple hours ahead for a Monday afternoon, though it wasn't busy when I got there. Nguyen took me in right away and first removed the gel polish I was already wearing. This didn't take very long. She was very skilled and careful in her cuticle work, even trimmed the top layers of skin on my finger tips close to the nail beds that I have a tendency to chew off when it bugs me. She was very attentive to my requests and made sure I liked nail shape, length and color before proceeding. I liked that they have fingertip-less UV protective gloves (albeit goofy looking) to go under the light to help minimize the radiation on your hands. I've never seen that before, but now I'm going to be asking for those every time. Ended with a great hand and forearm massage with mango lotion. Excellent experience at an even better price. Very clean and hygienic place. I did a pedicure with Mina who did a fabulous job. She cleaned every bit of cuticles I had, did such a great job of shaping and trimming the nails to exact length I wanted and took her time (which for me is super important.) I wasn't expecting the hot stone massage at all whatsoever but it was so relaxing. The chairs are massage chairs so that's a great plus and the selection of colors is more than enough. I brought my boyfriend here too, which is hit or miss cause some places make strange faces when men come in either way, they were very professional and his feet look nice and clean. I have been several times now to get a dip powder set. They have a ton of colors to choose from, and they do a great job- take their time and ask you how you like it, etc. My only issue was that two days later, the dip color lifted and I got a chip in one nail. But they were great when I came back, remebered that I came and fixed the nail for me right away. I was very pleasantly surprised with my gel manicure and pedicure. First, this place was really affordable (only $72 for a gel mani-pedi). The technician was very attentive and took great care both with the manicure and the paint job. The only reason I'd say it was not 5 stars is she went a little too deep on the cuticle on my right foot, and the cleanliness of some of the tools was a bit questionable. But overall, I think the color selection was great, the service was good, and it was fairly quick for a gel manicure + pedicure even given the care that she took with the paint. The hot stone massage was wonderful! Sometimes they don't really press hard enough and it just feels like they're putting lotion on your legs, but she used nice pressure and really wasn't even awkward while doing it :) Throughout the process, they had PPE (masks and gloves) and screens up around the salon to ensure safety. They also frequently wiped the seats, benches, couches, and nail cards down with alcohol while I was there so it made me feel like it was really clean. It's been almost a month since I got my nails done and my toes still look fresh and beautiful! My fingernails grew out, so I got the gel removed. It always takes a bad experience to get someone like me to start writing reviews. I asked for acrylic nails with the and dip color. The girl working with me was perfectly nice doing a great job but then I realized she was getting ready to put the color on without putting the acrylic nails. I asked her and she apologized and said my nails were too short. Annoying -- but she was very sweet so I told her it was fine if we tried because I acrylic when my nails are short regularly or it was fine if they weren't comfortable, no problem. The manager/maybe owner came over and said they could do them but they would charge me an extra $40 which is ridiculous. I just have them wipe off the clear coat-- granted my nails are all scratched from where she buzzed over them and then they insisted I pay $12 for "cuticle work". They wound up being very rude so I paid and left -- giving them $12 to receive nothing except scratched nails for my presentation tomorrow. The absolute worst experience I have had. read more

I walked in on a rainy friday afternoon. There were 3 technicians working; I didn't wait long, maybe 5 minutes. There are books to look through to select gel color. I got a gel manicure (but didn't have previous gel to remove) and a regular pedicure. The tv was playing news at low volume but other than that, the salon was very quiet. The nail artist technician was very good. She did a meticulous job and my nails still look great a week later. I hope the gel removal process here is fine as well. This is a lovely establishment. I have gotten my nails done three times here. The first one was a plain ole manicure with normal nail polish that lasted for two-weeks straight with no chipping (surprising, I know...). Second time I had acrylics (more on this later) and the third time was a lovely pedicure. Now on to the acrylics. I am not exactly sure of the owners' names, but the male usually does the acrylics and honestly... These are the best acrylics that I've ever had. It took him awhile because he is SO CAREFUL. A tiny little spec fell on my nail while he was painting them. Normally at other salons, they'll act like nothing happened. But he stopped what he was doing and carefully took it off. I was astonished (and also touched). I loved the end result! Today, I just had a pedicure which was much needed. It was a divine experience. Lovely foot massages and she rubbed hot pebbles on my feet *drools* I was falling asleep in the chair. The end result was once again, lovely and I am a very happy customer! Highly recommended. Also, I think that this salon isn't well known since it is never crowded in comparison to the other salon on Washington street (I think it's called Paris Nails?). EXCELLENT. I am a former client at Paris Nails in Brighton. I liked it, and it was close to my apartment. BUT.... I decided to try YES nails on a whim and am now a faithful client! My nail tech does absolutely flawless, detailed, careful work to make my acrylics look so real, whether I have them clipped short or long stiletto. The woman who does my pedicures uses hot stones, an amazing exfoliating scrub, and gives the best, super long massages. It's so relaxing! I've been going here for the past 2.5 years and while I love the prices, I don't think I can continue to go here. I love how meticulous and gentle the guy and the young girl work, however I have gotten one of the newer ladies the past 4 times I have been here and I absolutely cannot stand her. She is extremely rough and rushed with all of her movements. She jams her instruments into your cuticles to the point of pain. She has buffed into my cuticles on numerous occasions, leaving them red, sore, and inflamed. She has incredible grip strength that would be great for a massage, which they never do here, yet she uses it to pinch and manipulate your toes, feet, fingers, and hands leaving them achy and sore. Her movements are so forceful it's almost comical because it's just such a strange interaction and experience that is in no way relaxing. It's unfortunate because I truly love the original estheticians (the guy and young girl). read more

I drove by this place and saw it offered a 20% off discount of all services since they are still a new business , so I decided to call and make an appointment . The gentleman on the phone took my name and was very attentive to the time and date of my appointment . There is a 2 hour Parking lot next to the pub which is close to the salon, which is great for Allston/Brighton Parking. As soon as I entered I was received with a smile . "Oh hello , Nice to meet you! "I chose my gel polish color and started looking for a similar color for my toe and one of the nail techs who was not just said " oh you sit down , relax I do it for you." It was much appreciated :) The gel colors were in books , by brand of nail polish which was great as I have a preference for polish . Still building their color selection but it is The pedicure tub has a bag in which is changed for every client which makes it more sanitary . Great massage , hot stone massage and hot towels to make the experience Better. The shellac manicure was good and they out gloves in my hands to protect my skin from the UV light, something in which I never experienced . Since the 20% off is still in effect I paid $46 for a Pedi and Gel manicure Pricing is a little higher, I usually pay $25 for. pedi & $27 for Gel Manicure ($25 plus $2 gel take off), so a total of $52 , but @ Yes spa both a Pedi and gel manicure are $28 each, which totals $56 . In the future, I wouldn't mind paying the extra $4 since the place is nice, new , clean & the service is great !!!! Will definitely return ! My gel nails lasted just about three weeks ago, still looking great! I also love that they had skin protective gloves when using the gel manicure machines.
