I went back there after few years and was reminded how amazing the food was. As an Armenian living in glendale I have been to many restaurants but for me nothing is like Moon Mart, it feels like home cooking and quality is superb. Lastly this amazing food would not mean much if it wasn't for the owners amazing service. Mr Hirair and lovely wife Claire are so wonderful and welcoming that you just want to go only to see them. Me and my family have been ordering from them for the entire week it keeps getting better. I came here for Christmas Eve because nothing was open and I was craving kabob so bad. The chicken is good but I spent 14$ for the rice, chicken, and 2small breads. Don't get fooled by stars, check the other one star ratings of this place which holds true for this place. Worst chicken kabob (thigh). The place was empty when I reached at peak lunch hour. I should have understood it. I had ordered a "to go". I requested some spicy sauce, lady tells me "We don't give sauce for "To Go" in a rude way. Next, I picked my food to eat in the car. First of all, food was cold. Kabob looked like it was sprinkled with little salt and pepper and cooked in microwave for 5 minutes. There was nothing kabob flavor on it and chicken tastes horrible and stale, very bad quality meat, beware. The wrap was rubbery and hard with large chunks of lettuce just thrown on top of it with one or two small pieces of chicken, no dressing no spices, flavorless. You call this a middle eastern food??? Stop fooling your customers, any fast food would taste better and fresher than this. I called the owner just to let him know about the bad food so he could improve improve quality in future but surprisingly he tells me very rudely, "If you want refund, you have to get the food back mostly uneaten". Well, I was not looking for a refund, I already had driven far away to even go back with that crap food for a refund. I told him that I had couple bites and I dumped in a plastic bag to trash it. He said, "you have to bring it and most of it should be uneaten" in a very rude way. I trashed 80% of the food and after an hour or so, my tummy got sick and I felt like puking. Then I got sicker. Later, I flushed it out of my system with lots of laxatives and felt better. I couldn't eat anything after eating this crap that day. Well, I was fooled by the 4 and 5 stars and missed to review one star ratings. I learnt a lesson. It was one of the worst food I had ever eaten in my life. Even thinking of it makes me puke... yewwww...I won't be able eat chicken for couple days, :-( Thanks for making me sick and ruining my appetite, what a disgrace to middle eastern food :-( read more

The Food here its good like a fast food persian restaurant.except very expensive and very small portion appetizers, Service its good and friendly.. Beware of appetizers they all over priced small portion and served in plastic bowls. When you get the bill you get shocked if you want eat really good and enjoy. So called Don Kach he needs to understad peopke go to restaurant to eat not to tast small portion food and then give him all there money. I would recommend Raffis PLCE real food real service. In my opinion cheap food and small portion should not be part of restaurant business. You can go there and walk away from your dollars and find out about small portion food and great service. This establishment is a family run business. It has authentic, ethnic food that is fresh and delicious. They make everything grilled to order so it takes that amount of time to get the food out. The Lula kebab was moist and flavorful. It has a couple tables for outside seating and several tables inside.The pricing is reasonable and the food quantity is just right. This is a small place in a mini mall. They used to sell mini kabobs but now they sell really big ones. It's pretty close to how I remember the taste. The wait can be a little long because they cook to order which is fine. The owner or whoever is running it never smiles. :( read more

Best Lamb Kabab in Southern California !!! Well cooked lamb on the bed of rice with grilled roman tomato. You just squeeze lemon wedges, sprinkle Sumac on your kabab and enjoy ! It comes with cucumber side salad. This is small cozy Kabab place you may not have noticed. Parking is limited and very tight. You can enjoy your food inside or outside. This restaurant was an amazing surprise! We were in the area and were craving kabob, we looked up restaurants in the area and realized this restaurant was right in front of us! So we decided to go with it. It's an unassuming little restaurant, but I had no idea we would have the meal and service we received! The owners, husband and wife, Harry and Clara served us as if we were in their home! We ordered the Luleh Kabab, Soltani Plate, Chicken Kabab, Marinated Baked Beans Lobi, Ikra dip, salad olivieh, Shirazi salad, and the cucumber yogurt dip. Let me tell you it was ALL delicious! They serve great, fresh food, but what we were most impressed by was their incredible hospitality! We love to eat out, and tend to stick to our favorites, but also love to try new restaurants. However, we have never had this type of service, ever. We have definitely had great service in many wonderful restaurants but never like this. I legitimately felt that I should invite them over to our home so we may somehow repay them with more than just a great tip. Their attention to the little things, such as, we came on a very hot day and at the end of our meal we still wanted tea to finish our great meal. They brought our tea out with some delicious sweet dates and practically an entire watermelon cut up for our table. Our kids devoured it...lol We just had to hug these sweet people on our way out. So as an Armenian, I am ashamed to say that I have never ever liked kebab. I would squirm at the thought of it since as long as I can remember. However, this past weekend, my boyfriend told me he was going to take me out to eat some amazing BBQ. He brought me to Moon Mart Kebab and insisted that I try their Kebab, reluctantly, I agreed. I have to say I was presently surprised! Their Kabob plate was soo good!! I guess now I like Kebab? Or maybe I will still to Moon Mart's Kebab only lol. I loved everything about this place, their rice was fluffy and buttery, and everything tasted super fresh. I stopped here after a long day of battling the crowds while holiday shopping at the galleria. I was so tired, I stopped by and just ordered dinner to go for myself and my boyfriend. The waiter was so friendly. He offered me a hot cup of tea on the house while I waited. It was exactly what I needed! When I got home the food was AMAZING! I come here at least once a week to have the chicken breast! It's soooo good though I admit it is pricey but it's definitely worth it. This Restaurant is one of my favorite Persian Restaurant. I love their fresh chicken kabob with rice. It comes with two sides which I always choose beans and shallot yogurt. My husband loves their koobideh (beef looleh kabob) with eggplant and cucumber yogurt as sides. We always order and pick once a week on Saturdays and really enjoy our meal.
