What can I say -- this place is amazing! The prices are great, the portions are super generous, and every dish is packed with flavor. You can really tell it's family-owned; there's so much care and warmth in the food and service. The chicken bowl with hummus and shirazi salad is a solid 10/10, and the lentil soup was delicious too. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu! Just a heads up -- both times I visited, they were only accepting cash or Zelle, but it's totally worth it. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!

I really enjoyed the food, it was fresh and full of flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place feels clean and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service is friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the good test of music makes it a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] thank you for having me

Combo Plate with chicken and steak. Shirazi salad and humus. Rice and lentils. They also offer grilled veggies, which I declined.

This place is great It's a family owned and operated small business serving fresh food every day. I typically get the combo plate, either with lula or beef/chicken. It's made fresh and tastes great. Portions are very generous and the price is surprisingly cheap. It's counter service. The only gripe is that they don't have a soda machine. They do sell cans/bottles. I'll keep coming back whenever I work on this side of town.

Great tasting & healthy food with awesome service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very spacious seating, great for families and very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Recommend the combo plates of chicken and beef, with the lentil soup (very good separately or on rice for extra flavor), grilled veggies and fresh salad . Another banger is the beef wrap that is very tasty and filling, stuffed with yogurt cucumber, beef, rice, garlic spread, a mild or spicy sauce and hummus. Service from repeat visits has always been welcoming and friendly and the staff is very accommodating. Whenever we're in the area this is one of our stops. Heads up the place is closed on Sundays. Overall a great mom & pop place and I highly recommend!!!

When ordering our food, the prices were reasonable and we were able to customize our meals and receive complementary sauces. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was fast and there was a lot of seating and good lighting within the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really enjoyed my bowl; the seasoning on the vegetables was just right, the beef was tender and the rice soft, and I especially recommend the garlic paste.

Surprisingly incredible. located in an unassuming strip mall across from the Goodwill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really clean aesthetics and nice service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ingredients are fresh and I love that they have healthy options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can tell the pens put a lot of TLC into the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Could use some music in this space to warm of the atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Reasonably protected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall an A+!

Food was so delicious! Generous portions and great flavor!! Such a reasonable price too. The service was great, staff were very friendly.

Quick service - pick your food, pay, then eat. Food was actually tasty. The chicken was a little on the dry side, but everything else was pretty good. I got the combo bowl. The veggies were seasoned well and the hummus was soooo good! Their garlic paste was also well made. The restaurant itself was pretty basic. Almost cafeteria style. Lots of parking, but might get busy around meal times.

    Chicken Bowl - delicious! @lindathefoodie

Kabob bowl is a SOLID option if you want a clean, healthy meal that also tastes delicious and of good quality. I typically order the chicken bowl for $10; you can customize the base with rice or salad or a mix of both, and then you get to pick 2 sides from their list to go with your chicken. For sides, I enjoy the roasted vegetables and the shizrahi most. The bean stew is also good but better when you order a plate instead of bowl, because then they give it to you in a small cup rather than douse it over your entire bowl of rice. I've also ordered their wraps before which was also tasty but not quite as good as the bowls. Perfect spot for lunch!! Delicious, clean, healthy Mediterranean food. Also, can you beat the price at $10?!

Not sure if My Vegan - Eagle Rock is affiliated with any of it's fellow former relative (in name) locations like the former My Vegan Studio (in Studio City) or once My Vegan Gold (in Silverlake) but it definitely is for twining, no doubts needed with it's sib in Pasadena. If you don't know, My Vegan - ER is a thriving gem on Colorado Blvd, not to far from that groovy Trader Joe's and other local favorites. The dishes are 10/10 for dine in, but apparently just as amazing for takeout! My special someone and I take turns making dinner, but he was very much tired from a long work day so we said hey let's order out and we settled on My Vegan and we're really glad we did. Their Pad Thai is an instant and flavorful favorite of my guys and while many of their appetizers, such as the Impossible Fries, Fried Tofu, Vegetable Dumplings and Soy Chicken Drumstick (w/ Buffallo or BBQ please) to name a few also called out to me... I settled on their epic Supreme Fried Rice A delicious blend of fried brown rice, soy shrimp, soy chicken, soy beef, tofu, onions, peas, scallions, garlic, tomatoes and carrots. All the portions here are big - so much so we both had leftovers for lunch the next day (which hold up great). Between the soups, salads, noodle dishes, rice plates, sides, burgers, breakfast items, house specialities, and a la carte it can be hard to settle on a dish or two, but you can't go wrong with just about anything. Do try the Yellow Noodle Curry, Angry Pork and Tom Kah for sure. Good beverages as well. Some limited but thoughtful dessert options, spacious seating and modern layout. S/O and I shared the vegan combo and dereq tibs, a pitcher of their infused water, an Ethiopian cream coffee, and a glass of palm tree (their arnold palmer). The food was fantastic. I loved every bite we had, especially the gomen (braised greens), cabbage and carrot, and the kik alicha. The dereq tibs, though? That was AMAZING. Tender beef, sweet stewed onion, the perfect amount of spice from the serranos. I loved that the dish is accompanied by senafich (a spicy, horseradish-y mustard) and mitmita (a DELICIOUS chili powder that I want to put on everything lol). The beverages were delicious, I love an arnold palmer and this one is probably the best i've ever had with their spiced tea. Their coffee was decadent and strong and perfectly balanced. We may or may not have used our fingers to get the last bits from the dish. The place itself is like a little oasis from the hustle and bustle of the strip mall outside. I thought the beef dish was even better. The beef pieces practically melted in my mouth. And everything went great with the injera, which had a spongy texture that I found absolutely pleasing. The service was also wonderful. Before our meal, our server performed a hand-washing ceremony with rose water. And after we finished eating, we were presented with wet towels to clean our hands. I been here 3x this month alone & I've sat at the bar on all three occasions. 1st. We were recommended french fries with our espresso martinis which hello why say no but I kid you not our food was sitting on the counter (where the food comes out) for more than 15 minutes before our server at the bar gave it to us. I had to ask them (they were talking to 3 different servers the entire time) to grab them for us lol thankfully, it was just french fries. And mind you, the fries were the only thing out so obviously they were ours. It was not busy. 2nd time I went it took extremely long for someone to come and take our order mind you there was like two people at the bar, including myself and a friend and about 3 to 4 servers behind the bar, talking to a customer and their dog, touching the dog petting the dog (gross) and overall distracted we called them over like 3 times and I swear we were being ignored! Took them over 10mins just to get us water not even counting the drinks we asked for! 3rd time I went, I know you're probably thinking why do you keep going back if their service is so bad but I'm not kidding when I said I used to love this spot. Any who I ordered food and saw with my own two eyes the food runner, wipe her sweat fix her hair and touch the food not wash her hands and not run a single thing...It was as though she was just hired to stare at the food... lol we sent it back and asked them to remove it from our bill which they did. Each and every time I go these days the service staff look like they can't be bothered and are always talking amongst themselves, which is fine but at least take my order and not make me wait 20+ minutes for some water and drinks while you're getting your chat on with people you see every day... I feel so bad saying this, but they should definitely reevaluate their protocols because the ambience this whole thing gave off was not good. I was embarrassed to say the least when my friend said he hated the recommendation. Ugh .
