My husband and I have been going to moon massage for over a year now. We always get great service- we love James and Amy! With foot massages for $20/hour we can afford to go a couple times a month. It's clean, simple and easy, but just make sure to call before you go in (there are usually only 2-3 people working). The foot massage includes short but soothing massages on your head, arms, legs, back and shoulders. Also, I ALWAYS knock out when they get to my second foot! Come here often. The place is pretty simple and is set-up like any chinese massage place (as you can see from the photos) but it's clean and comfortable. The selling point is definitely the massage. The people who work here are nice and give awesome professional massages. You can let them know which areas to concentrate on and the kind of pressure you prefer and they adjust accordingly. This place is below average at best. The "therapist" that I got did not apply appropriate pressure and did not complete her Strokes, I would say, about 85% of the time. The therapist further did not ask me throughout the massage if the pressure was good. This is not okay. I'm a former massage therapist. This person was on my spine half the time. The towels stank of chlorine bleach. When she scrubbed my back with the hot towel she neglected to be aware of her elbows which were ice cold on my head. She also did a chest massage and a poorly-executed stomach massage that put pressure on my bladder which almost made me pee on her table. If she had applied a little more pressure and spent a little more time I might have even pooped on her table, too. The above tells me that this person has no knowledge of human anatomy and does not know that you're supposed to ask a client whether they ate 2 hours before giving any abdominal massage. She finished exactly on time but started 10 minutes late. I called for a 4:30 start time and they were not ready when I came in. Please do not waste your time and money on this place. Oh I forgot the best part. When I asked them to break a 20 so i could leave an undeserved tip, the therapist did not seem to know what I was talking about. Then I just left the establishment. About a minute after the therapist realized that I had left without giving her a tip, so she opened the door and yelled at me to come back and tip her. I was a solid 10 yards away at the time. That is outrageous behavior. I am a licensed nurse and I get massage regularly. This was in my bottom five worst massages of all time. read more

This place was the worst. I had to ask my masseuse to apply more pressure on several different occasions but, she never satisfied my request. I think I knew I was in for a bad experience when the guy at the counter kept trying to up sell me for a treatment that I had no interest in. These are the times I wished I lived in Alhambra or K-Town but, I'm in Glendale, so from here on out, OCEAN SPA is my place. Oh yeah. I had a great experience here yesterday evening. I first got a 60 minute deep tissue and then extended it for another 30 mins for a 90 minute. Judy did a great job! The quality is great considering the price. It's not a perfect massage, but that would have probably cost $180 or more - for 90 minutes instead of $70. I left floating. They were very nice. I called an hour before and booked an 8:30pm apt so that I'd sleep nice and sound after. I'll be going back. read more

You see so many of these little foot massage places springing up, and you never know what you're going to get. This one is a great little neighborhood place--small, quiet, and the massages are wonderful. I've only seen two people working here--one man and one woman--and both are excellent. The price is great, too. Easy parking, and they even accept credit cards, which is rare. You can do the regular massage, which is all in the chair, or 1/2 foot massage and 1/2 oil massage, which is on a regular massage table in a little curtained off area. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing as well--no tv, no loud talking, no crazy music. Just don't go on Sunday nights, because that's my time :-) read more

I go here at least once a month and usually just as a walk-in. I do the hour foot massage and I can't complain about anyone who has done the massage. They do fabulous massages. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they only have 2 people working at all times, so that is not always convenient, especially if I want to take 2 friends. Also, their chairs are uncomfortable when you are face down. The hole in them just doesn't let your neck adjust comfortably. My friend who goes with me a lot agrees on the chair problem. read more

Tried this place for the first time. The service was fantastic, able to accomodate me right away. The place is clean and quiet. Location was easy to find and with good parking. I had the foot massage after doing a 5k American Heart Association's Walk. Frank dod the service and he was great. I fell asleep while he was massaging me. He used the right amount of pressure and was very gentle. Good deal for a great service. It was only $20 for a 1hour foot massage which for me is already a total body massage because he did massage me from head to toe. When I went to then pay for the massage (bec I already tipped her before I went to the front) I gave the guy a 50 for the $20 massage and he pretended he didn't know how to make change, are you freaking serious?!! Found Moon Massage Spa online last minute to go in for a massage, they were open late and able to get me right in which was convenient. I went in expecting to get a "$20/hr" massage that was advertised online/outside. I ended up getting a $40 massage, which I was fine with and agreed upon the service. The massage was good... I have had better but overall it was a good massage. When I went to check out I gave them my card, they told me a $2 charge for using a card, I said okay. She then said "how much you tip?" I told her to run it for $46 as they both stood there and stared at me while I was answering (very uncomfortable) and then I changed my mind and said $48 since they are charging me $2 to use a card. They both looked at me and the woman kind of giggled and said "tip 10 dollars." I was very thrown off, uncomfortable and ended up leaving there paying $52 for a mediocre massage that took place in a not so relaxing environment. Very unprofessional business owners. read more
