Food was delicious. Came in at around 4 and it was slow. Our server was great but it did take forever for us to be greeted and checked upon. I think there was a big party. Food was delivered promptly!

We happened to be in the area and as a fan of Bar Rescue I wanted to stop here. My husband indulged my love for reality TV and we stopped for a quick dinner with our 3 year old. The theming is evident throughout the restaurant and the menu. The inside felt comfortable and the restaurant was clean. The restroom have themed names like Bonnie and Clyde. My husband ordered the Baja Dog, I got the crispy chicken sandwich without bacon, and our kid ordered the grilled cheese. My husband proclaimed it the best hot dog that he's ever had. My sandwich was incredible! Both of us liked the sides--fries and chips too. Our kid seemed to be a big fan too--polished off the sandwich and most of the fries so that's a win for a 3 year old! I'm not a huge drinker but my husband encouraged me to try something since it was a Bar Rescue place. I asked our server what he suggested and he recommended one of their specialty drinks for March Madness. It was delicious and well balanced. Our server was super helpful, attentive, and kind. If we're ever in the Garner area again, we will definitely be back.

I can't even lie I walked in and was a little uncomfortable at first. This was my first time coming here and there were a lot of bikers and I thought ohh noo I picked the wrong restaurant. AND then my waiter walked over and was the best waiter ever!!! I wish I had gotten his name. He helped me choose a great drink and the food was wonderful. I even ordered desert for me and my husband. Parking definitely not an issue and I learned a great lesson that day..never judge a book by its cover. I definitely am coming back and would strongly recommend you come to. Store nice and clean, plenty of parking and drinks severed out of mason jars. For some reason I feel like I am getting more ‍. Would have taken pictures of my great meal but my phone dies

I give the drinks a 4 compared to the Philly cheesesteak we had which was very mediocre: needless to say first time here and the moonshine is what attracted me to come here: we actually did the lemon drop martini to start then I tried the moonshine cocktail which I chose the blueberry flavor. I do want to come back and try the flight though and they have daily specials that are pretty good.

    Brisket sandwich (Dec. 2024)

Food was pretty good. Brisket sandwich was good, my wife gave it 4, but the sauce was a little spicy for her. We are not spicy people though. My fried chicken sandwich was ok 3. The chicken was kind of dry, but all the cheese helped. We would go back, but we liked the one Hwy 42 in South Garner better. It has a nicer atmosphere and better service (at least when we went).

Great saloon atmosphere with friendly staff. Food was a good step above bar food. I'd definitely order that steak sandwich again. And even though I don't like onions, the onion rings looked and smelled so good, even I was tempted! Plenty of parking and the place was clean. Nice bathrooms too.

I had ribs, grilled shrimp, broccoli, and a baked potato. The food is amazing. We played music bingo, which was so much fun. Our waitress Victoria was very nice and got everything we asked for. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

We stopped here on the way home from CH and I found it on Yelp. It doesn't look like much, and is honestly pretty run down and there is an odor I can't describe any other way but just "old wood." But! I trusted my fellow Yelpers and ate here. While it's run down, it is clean. There was not a speck of food on the floor and the tables were clean. The service was phenomenal - there when we needed her but didn't bug us. She was also very genuine. The batter on the fired pickles was beautiful! Seriously. And, it was also delicious! A lot of pickles come in this app! The entrees were both good. The burger was over cooked as I ordered it medium and it was well done. Not a big deal. What we didn't know until we got in there and saw the plaque is that this place was on Bar Rescue with John Taffer. Hmm.

The toasted sourdough was a nice touch for sopping up bites. The fried okra was a standout--lightly battered, bright green inside, and not soggy (a minor miracle) The chicken tenders had a peppery cornmeal breading that stayed crunchy and paired well with the dipping sauce. But the most nostalgic part was the warm biscuit split open with peach jelly--sweet, sunny, and the perfect finish! Overall: Comfort food done well, generous portions, great textures, and totally worth the visit

It's been an interesting journey--because while I absolutely respect the tradition, my palate has definitely evolved over the years toward lighter, more elevated, visually beautiful food. That said, sometimes you just have to lean in and experience the classics. Tupelo Honey had been on my list for a while, so during a recent work trip to Raleigh-Durham, I decided to check it off. The location is in a very nice, upscale area--one of those shopping districts where, if you see a Whole Foods nearby, you know the neighborhood is going to be polished, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking was simple in a lot across the street, and since I had a reservation, I was seated quickly on the patio, which was lovely and comfortable. For starters, I ordered the "biscuits for a cause," which is a nice touch knowing the proceeds support employee relief and development funds. They were warm and classic Southern biscuits--exactly what you'd expect. For my entrée, I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken (dark meat), a true Southern staple. It was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying, especially if you're in the mood for something hearty and traditional. I also tried a cocktail called "The Debutante," which was pleasant and refreshing, and finished the meal with the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the meal was good--solid, reliable Southern comfort food--but if I'm being completely honest, it wasn't particularly memorable for me. I was traveling for work and dining on a per diem, so it checked the box for a dependable dinner in a convenient location. As a larger regional chain, it feels a bit like a rite of passage when you're spending time in the Southeast--something you try once to understand the landscape. Bottom line: Tupelo Honey delivers classic Southern comfort food in a polished, accessible setting. Service was smooth, the patio was pleasant, and everything was executed well. For me personally, it was a good experience--but not one I'd necessarily go out of my way to repeat. Still, as I continue eating my way through the Carolinas and beyond, I'm glad I gave it a try.

I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.
