We bought two twenty year old trees from them. From the start they were not up front about everything. We even bought the extended warranty they suggested. Paid extra for that. Two weeks or more had passed. One of the trees looked sick. We called them several times. Sent pictures. The leaves were fallen already. The other one looked ok. They wouldn't come out, not enough people to come out and see. We waited. Nothing. So we let it be for a bit. Again, no response. We came back from vacation. The tree is now worse than before. We hire a arborist to come look at the tree. Since moon valley was too busy. He said the tree is for sure dead. That this kind of tree should have never been sold. It was beyond its capabilities to live. So back to moon valley. My husband went in to the office. But the manager was too busy to come out and talk. And she sent a guy to talk. But the guy wasn't very knowledgeable. So he had to go back and forth to talk to the manager. Why she just come out herself. After all the talking. She wanted us to buy another tree. For half off. No, not another rejects. Which to say, they are in the way back. Discounted they say. They wouldn't honor our warranty because it was now 15 days over. We called and emailed them. So then she also said, that those trees should have not been sold a warranty. Then why didn't we get our money back.? So why did the young man that sold us the trees and warranty. Had said this was the best plan. His name was Jason. He apparently didn't know either. So, we are out of a tree. With no help from Arizona avenue moon valley. If you're going to be a manager, then manage your workers and do your job. And come out and talk. This place is a big rip off! Unless you can give us back our warranty money. Checked out various tree varieties on the website to get some preliminary ideas for completely renovating our front yard. When we got to the nursery, it didn't take Bob long to narrow down our final choice, his years of experience were extremely helpful to make our decision. Best of all, they were having a substantial discount sale, so we were able to get a much bigger tree that what we thought possible on our limited budget. Moon Valley made all the arrangements to have the utility companies come out and check the proposed planting site, we didn't have to lift a finger. Esi and his crew were on time, efficient, placed the tree perfectly, and left absolutely no mess behind. Through it all, Chad was excellent with communicating what to expect and when. He even followed up a few days after to ensure we were satisfied. Moon Valley provided an awesome tree, excellent customer service, at a reasonable price. We initially chose Moon Valley Nurseries because of their extensive advertising and multiple locations. Our first purchase was a ficus tree for our front yard. It lasted about two years before it died. Things happen, and we were told it might have been due to some kind of disease--fair enough. Hoping for better luck, we decided to replace that ficus with another one and added three more ficus trees to our backyard along with four bushes. Unfortunately, one of the new ficus trees began dying almost immediately, one is doing okay, and the other seems to be thriving. The front ficus will be replaced this week. Despite being advised by others to avoid Moon Valley, we initially found their staff friendly and knowledgeable. However, after investing a few thousand dollars and losing what seems to be two trees, we're ready to try a different nursery. We admit we're not the most experienced gardeners, and we didn't purchase the warranties (honestly, we don't think trees should need warranties), but we followed the care instructions we were given. What's especially disappointing is how attentive the salespeople were during the buying process, only to disappear when issues arose. Based on our experiences so far, we can't recommend Moon Valley Nurseries. read more

Delivery and install is typically great, though they did one install that was an abomination on a very mature tree, confirmed by their own mgmt that came out and looked at it, but unable to take any action to fix it! And if a tree dies or something goes wrong and you need some sort of support or, God forbid, use of your overpriced warranty, forget it. All bets are off. You would be better off planting some seeds in your yard than trusting these guys. Avoid at all costs. read more

I feel like we won the lottery today! Manny is the absolute best. Greeted us initially and we said we just wanted to look around. So he gave us plenty of space. Once we narrowed it down, he was off with the wheel cart and going. They have a lot of variety and everything looks amazing. Manny was "the man!" We could not have had a better experience. From the second we walked in, Manny introduced himself, was exceptionally friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I asked about frizzle top on palm trees, watering schedules, fertilizing schedules, the difference in various chemicals and fertilizers and he immediately and confidently, without sounding like a sales person, knew each one. It truly felt like "talking to an expert." And a friend, though we had never met him before. When we left, we not only had the products that we needed, and not more than we needed, but the knowledge and plan to keep our plants, and our investment in them, healthy. It was great! what an awesome job. Steven had helped us pick 10 enormous trees. we live in a court . They brought out a gigantic crane and transported each tree over our roof and carefully planted them. It was a magnificent feat. The drivers were incredible. they did not block any driveway and cleaned up the street meticulously of any debris or fallen leaves . Chad and his team delivered more than their promise. On finding one tree damaged in transportation, they immediately sent out a new replacement. It was the best job ever. My wife and I went to Moon Valley Nursery on Arizona Ave in Chandler. We met with Manny who spent almost an hour with us showing several different type of backyard trees we were interested in. Each time he showed us a tree he explained if it flowered, what color the flower buds would be.
