We first went to Moon Valley back in 2022 when our house was built, which meant we needed to landscape our backyard. We first met Danny Molina and let me tell you he is one of the BEST! We have worked with Danny now for over 2 years on different projects for the back and front yard, even helped with my mom's backyard. He is super patient with us and ALWAYS takes care of us. Even though Danny now has a different job in Moon Valley, we still reach out to him through text and he will meet us at the location to help us. Throughout this experience Danny goes above and beyond than any other nursery staff would have ever done! We purchased a pineapple palm, a lemon and lime tree. Manny Reveles was amazing at helping us deicide on the trees that we wanted. He was so patient and answered all my questions and I had a lot of them! Now for the install. These we not small trees! Each tree cost us 560.00 each. I was so impressed at how quickly Jacob and his team had them all planted. I thought it would take a few hours but they had it knocked out in about 45 mins from the time they arrived till they left. We will have another project in a few months and plan to go right back here to get what we need! read more

He was very welcoming, pleasant and very knowledgeable about Palms for the AZ area. We purchased 2 Mediterranean Fan Palms for the back of the pool. Perfect. Then a month later, we identified a need for 2 more just like them. He hand selected ones that are the perfect matching size for the first 2. Now 5 months later, we shared a picture of our pool and he suggested a Queen Palm as an accent behind the waterfall. He called me and said he found a perfect specimen for us, even sent us a picture. So, it's been about a month after having trees out in. After phone calls, emails and text messages no replies from Moon Nursery. We only have so much time to have these trees replaced. An irrigation specialist came by within few days of planting so correct Watering is not the problem. Very disappointed with the follow up after feedback that's been given. Be very careful with this company I have much regrets I'm the time that I was writing this review they said they would replace the tree with $150 delivery fee. Moon Valley has a reputation for being a rip-off, and it's 100% true. The prices are outrageously high for what you get, they are absolutely gouging prices and adding a big ol markup to everything, so beware of that walking in. For example they are selling little baby shrubs in the 2-3 gallon plastic bucket for over 30 bucks, and I can tell you right now that Lowes or HomeDepot sells those for 15, less on a sale. The tree selection is wide and varied but they are just stupid expensive. Little trees (citrus, etc) that are maybe 4-5 feet tall are being sold anywhere between 300-600 bucks, that is crazy! Again, I've seen trees at Home Depot the same size go for 70-80 bucks. So what gives moon valley, are your trees grown in Xanadu and brought here on unicorns? I didn't really like the whole used car lot feel walking in, big flashy signs all over saying "we finance" pricing lists, sales this, sales that, a real car-salesman approach all over the place...I thought this was a nursery, not uncle bob's used cars. You can tell right away that a lot of these sales guys aren't plant lovers, gardeners, or people who love nature, they are salesmen, most likely ex car or furniture salesmen who know how to make a buck. Good for them I guess, but bad for customers who don't realize how much they are getting hosed with high prices and markups. I didn't spend a dime at moon valley for the obvious reasons of not wanting to go absolutely bankrupt over a few baby plants and trees. I feel honestly bad for the folks who come here and dish out thousands and thousands of dollars for plants they could have gotten elsewhere for far, far less. I imagine that a lot of people that come here don't know very much about plants or trees and just take the word of the salesmen, they just want their back or front yard to look pretty real fast and get sold. So watch out if that's you. If you just got a new house or yard or whatever please shop around and do your homework first! because if you do you will see that Moon Valley is a MASSIVE ripoff and they fleece the heck out of people with those outrageous markup prices. You can and will do better if you shop around and do your basic google research! Don't get ripped off by moon valley. read more

Every single time I need ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING I call the chandler location. Recently I purchased several trees & shrubs and also used them for a giant tree removal on another property. On the giant tree removal job we recently did I worked with Sophia. (( which by the way is the ONLY person I will work with)) and I was sooo nervous about this job because this tree was so huge and required a crane for removal on a not so big yard . Sophia was there every step of the way . She helped me pick out a beautiful tree to takes its place , and kept in touch w me every step of the way! I have never had bad service from moon valley. The entire process at Moon Valley Nurseries was easy and smooth. Danny M. helped make the selection and the purchase process easy. I did not feel pressured to buy or buy the biggest tree. Instead, Danny drove me around two times so that I could pick the tree that I thought was right and the right price for me. Stefani M. informed me of the delivery schedule and timetable, and she called and mailed me the week before and the weekend before to ensure we were on the same schedule. The planting crew called me 15 minutes away and arrived on time. We talked about where I wanted the tree planted, and they went right to work. Tyler K, the crew manager, has a well-running team. Recently purchased a new home and wanted to do landscaping aka shade trees so I looked up nurseries and found moon valley. Initially I was not sure if I wanted to spend money on "Trees" however after more research I decided to go with not only the trees but moon valley as my choice. The reason I chose moon valley was due to their reviews. I made an excellent decision because the team there specifically Andy was amazing. I bought some larger trees a few months ago and Andy followed up to make sure I was happy with the service and product I purchased numerous times. He called, emailed and even text with consistent follow up and kept me in the loop on when they would arrive,etc. This is almost unheard of these days. A company and person that keeps their word on delivering a great service/product and standing behind it. I was blown away! Due to their service and attention to detail I made a secondary purchase and yet again I was helped with the exact same level of amazing service. This time it was Andy and Johnny. They both coordinated a delivery around my schedule and again made sure I was 100% satisfied with everything. So it has been one year since we had MVN plant trees and shrubs in our newly-remodeled backyard. We went here knowing it would be more expensive but I wanted the guarantee on the trees and some help with design. The salesman who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable but was truly a salesman. When we arrived with the layout of our backyard the first question he asked was how much we had to spend. I gave him a low number on purpose and told him our must-haves. After picking out the bigger trees he made it his mission in life to spend every last cent of the budget figure I had given him, adding an absurd amount of small shrubs to the yard design. Keep in mind, the small shrubs and plants are a standard $40 each so those add up quickly. Also keep in mind those same plants can be bought at Lowe's for about $5-$10. When the salesman arrived at our house the next day to mark the plant locations I decided to remove several from the package as it was just way too much. The following day the crew arrived to plant everything and when they left it looked great. Fast forward a few weeks and half of the smaller plants were dead. They came to replace them TWICE and as I sit here typing this I see 5 of them that are once again dead. I would recommend buying the larger, more expensive trees and palms here because it is worth the extra money to get the warranty and have them deliver and install them. DO NOT get duped into buying their small plants and shrubs as this is where the make their money and you'll get screwed. If you want a landscape designer they're no help. They just want to sell you as many plants as possible. read more

He even said once they come to the house he will measure everything to make sure it works. Wow the original landscaper didn't even do that. I have bought from Moon Valley for years... on my own homes and ones i renovate as well and this past experience was the worst! Thr guy tried to tell me that a tiny pomegranate bush they were selling was $400... i found one that was bigger at lowes for $35 the same day! I mentioned the terrible sales rep attitude and absurd prices now and it seems to be the same story from others going around as well. That's sad to hear but honestly, there are plenty of great places around town that are very welcoming. I won't ever return. read more

Love their merchandise but service is something you have to watch closely. We spent two hours picking out palms for exactly the look we wanted. Than the guy said he would mark them later and he never did. Of course we didn't find this out until it came time for delivery and planting. After the large palm went in the ground and they were in the middle of planting the pigmy palm I noticed it was not the one I picked out. The delivery guy said they couldn't find any with our name so they just grabbed two. I was very upset. Not so much with delivery but sales. Every time I look at my palm I get upset because the one I choice was bent and twisted which gave it character for the area I was creating. We got a gallon of moon juice for the mistake. It wasn't enough for something I have to live with. The salesman dropped the ball. read more
