Instead, They gaslit me and said I was the one being rude and to not come back if I expect service again if I stand up for myself!!! How? By expecting honest service in a timely manner without prejudice? Haha!!! Totally ridiculous! The gay cashier at the front was of no help either - she just wanted to put her nose in business that had NOTHING to do with her! The customer service is basically non extent in this store. But not from a lack of employees. Every time I come to this store I see HD associates all over the place. Most of them seem to be restocking or just plain chit chatting with each other. And they will avoid eye contact with you and literally try to not notice you. No one, and I mean no one will ask if you need help finding anything. They only have self checkout. The only person ironically who actually speaks to you is the person babysitting the self checkout. Don't be misled by the parking lot. From the street it looks full because of the way it's laid out, but once you're in it, it's actually not as jam packed as it seems. Getting out of it is a hassle, no question, but finding a place to park was easy enough. There were plenty of employees and I found what I needed without too much confusion, even though it was an obscure part for a faucet. As a former HD employee I recommend the "old style" HD when the customer was "king or queen". Now-a-days, HD's customer service has taken a big dump. Glad though that my stock is still raising even though their customer service hasn't. read more

I was in Home Depot tonight around 7:30 PM when I was ringing myself up for a tree that was discounted despite it ringing up at full price. I asked the gentleman ( a bald man named Steven) working the self checkout for assistance. He stated that if I wanted the discount that I would need to show him "visual proof" of the marked down price. I asked him to connect with garden to confirm the price and he stated that if I wanted the discount then I would need to go get the sign to show him. I expressed that garden was closing and the gate was closed and he still insisted that if I wanted the discounted price I would have to figure out how to get the signage. The new hire who was an angel stated she could grab the sign for us and Steven stated to her "no" and that me and my partner as the customers would need to go get the sign. We ordered blinds through this home depot through Rockwood blinds. Spent 2600 bucks. When they arrived weeks later to install the order the blinds were completely wrong. As of now I have all of my original blinds down and sheets up in my windows. Homedepot is refusing to make the order right. I have been forced to start a complaint woth my credit card company. Avoid working woth this home depot. They are clearly unwilling to do what they promise. There only interest is in saying anything they have to to close a sale. Rented a truck from there. I returned it and locked the keys inside the truck by accident. You would think they would have a second key but didn't. They were so clueless and didn't know what to do. There were a couple of managers that came but the rental area, never had the decency to talk to me about the problem at hand. I contacted Home depot referral service about having 6 26 x 30 inch window screens replaced there on the first floor with easy access. The frames are in excellent condition. I spoke with several contractors about pricing. The minimum hours rate I was quoted was $230 for the first two hours then $115 per hour per hour after that. When I asked how long it would take to complete rescreening one window they said an estimated 45 minutes. WHAT? I worked in construction I could replace a 26 x 30 inch screen is 20 minutes. This place was great when it first opened but over the last few months - 2023 August, Sept, Oct it has gone quite a bit down hill. I asked for help with getting 4x8 plywood unbound that was on a second shelf. When one of the cashiers asked an older gentleman to help me cut those he rolled his eyes and audibly signed and without saying a single word to me walked over, cut them, and walked away. Not that I would expect an older man to help me get them down but at least ask if I needed help to call someone. Another customer ended up helping me load my cart. read more

We had a situation at night of missing a box from our online order for a large gazebo. We were told that it came only in one box not two. After on the box said 1/2. We left with it a little frustrated but came home and opened it up thinking maybe we ordered the wrong thing. Low and behold the instructions said for part A. We knew there was a part B of the roofing panels. We called corporate to see if there was another box on its way and maybe the computers didn't communicate. Well there was one on its way! The Home Depot corporate customer service was so top notch- I was blown away! His compassion and attention to detail was phenomenal!! He said he would have the store called next day to explain the situation and wrote the notes in the file I didn't have to reexplain my whole situation! I called the store themselves to let them know we had a package and explain we needed that order and it wasn't picked up and corporate would be calling to see when it was available. Jessica at customer service was a GEM!!! She was on top of it and explained to me what she was going to do without me having to ask for it! I later called corporate to let them know hey i called the store and someone is on top of it. The corporate customer service rep knew exactly why I was calling and got me answers promptly! I am so appreciative of the way the situation was handled with such care! Everyone is so friendly and on top of it! We received our second box and could not be happier with everything! Hi all, my husband and I just went to the new Home Depot to grab some stuff for the new house. We were about ready to check out and my husband grabbed a power washer on the way out, it was simply on the shelf...like everything else in the store no matter the cost right? It had one of those anti theft devices in which of course would get taken off during check out. We headed towards checkout and this associate named Holly grabs the cart, asks what we think we're doing, to which we responded, "going to checkout". She proceeded to tell us to stop and wait where we were while she grabbed someone. Then once this manager comes over he asks us where we got the power washer. We responded, "off the shelf...?" She then said "they just helped themselves they shouldn't have this" in a belligerent voice. The manager looks at us and looks at her and tells us to go ahead and checkout...it was super weird. If I was trying to steal it why would I have a whole cart full of stuff? Or why would I be getting in line to checkout? Just really weird and honestly rude. Everything else was great, clean, just overall a great Home Depot but that experience just really ruined it for us. read more

Buyer Beware! The Home Depot is happy to take your money, just don't encounter any problems. After one of their "agents" botched our refrigerator install, we call The Home Depot's customer care line. We called on Wednesday and had an appointment to correct the issue on Friday. Friday morning I again called customer care to verify my appointment and they gave me a 4 hour window. Long after that window passed and still no repair people. I called the San Tan store, the manager did some digging and told me I was never on Friday's schedule. He referred me back to customer care. After getting disconnected multiple times (no call backs despite having my number), they told me they couldn't come out until next week. In summary, once The Home Depot and their delivery agent got paid, the issue was my problem. The level of I don't care I encountered was staggering. My recommendation is for your next appliance purchase try Costco or Lowe's! read more

Buyer beware! I purchased an LG refrigerator on Nov 26th. It is now Dec 19th and I still have not received the fridge. Multiple back and forth calls and chats online. Multiple reschedules with conflicting excuses (fridge on truck but driver had mechanical issues, reschedule, fridge not on truck even though we could track the driver's stops, fridge at LG, fridge at HD warehouse, fridge scheduled, fridge not scheduled). I even went to the store to speak with a manager who reviewed all the notes and call the warehouse herself. She told me it would be delivered Dec 19th. I called this morning and the "delivery company" had no record for delivery today. Very very poor communication and tired of getting the run around. Cancelled order and have to wait 3-5 days for refund because "they need to verify the fridge was returned to warehouse". They can't even confirm it was anywhere! Pretty sure I'll be fighting for this refund too. Bottom line, avoid delivery if you can! read more

If I can give no stars I WOULD!! I purchased a new home 1.5 years ago and had to buy all new appliances. I purchased over 8 thousand dollars of items. Now that my washer completely broke (leaking water and and piston broke and popped an "out" dent ) they are only sending me the money to replace the unit at the cost it was!!! Obviously it went up in price ( why I bought the 5 year protection plan) I also bought a matching set on "pedestals" they will not install the new unit I am PAYING for to be installed. I will now have to buy a brand new " same model " pedestal if I want them to Install it. I am not capable of installing this alone and now I am being penalized for needing a replacement. Long story short.. Don't trust them to take care pf the situation like you are giving them money. I've been to many home depots over the years and they've all been great except this san tan valley location. Each time I come here I meet some of the unfriendliest staff ever. What really cinched my opinion of this store and the reason why I'm writing this post is when I went to home depot this past monday, 9/4/23. I went to the store with my two daughters and purchased a wall light fixture along with two gift cards. When I went to the self checkout it called over assistance because I scanned the wrong barcode or something on the gift card and a guy came over. I really wish I got his name, but he had no customer service skills whatsoever. He grabs the cards and acts like he's being bothered to help me with the amounts on the card. Then as I'm checking out I try to pay the wall light fixture separately with a home depot gift card that i got for my birthday and it calls for assistance again because the checkout is showing an error because i'm trying to buy the gift cards with a gift card. No big deal on my end, but the same guy returns and raises his voice at me saying you cannot use gift cards to pay for a gift card. Absolutely rude and I wish I would've got his name but i know the guy was working there this past monday sometime during the afternoon at the self checkout and he was wearing a ring maybe a wedding ring. i really wish i got his name because my daughters told on me on the ride home that the same guy was looking at them weird when they were off to the side while i was paying. All i got to say for home depot is that management needs to get with all staff there and let them know they need to learn some customer service or got get a different job. All i know next time i return there and someone treats me with that level of disrespect i will not only be getting that staff members name but i'll be contacting corporate. read more
