    Absolutely pathetic with help and assistance. Had to hang my TV, asked for drywall anchors to fit a specific type of screw. The dude recommended a drywall anchor and said it will definitely fit. I asked him again if he was sure that it would fit and he reassured me that it would. Well, the picture is the result of that reassurance. And now I have to fix the drywall and Home Depot has no liability at all. Absolutely pathetic how Home Depot cannot be held accountable in this case.

    Giving this review for Rich (with knee pads) in workbench or Power tools area on 2/16. Actually I'm not 100% what department he's assigned to, because there was a different guy who came by originally in the power tools/ work bench area and he was basically worthless. But after my husband and I sat at the workbenchs scouring for husky's online, Rich (I think) came up and immediately engaged to see how he could help. The one online we wanted said limited availability but we couldn't find it on the floor. First of all, he was funny and had that old school humor I miss in the world. Secondly he offered to check the store once we couldn't find it in the normal places. My hubby and I went and looked at blinds and figured he couldn't find it. But 25 mins or so later, and moments before we were leaving the store, he found us. I didn't know why he was out of breath, but then realized it was because he must have been hustling to push this gigantic 62in husky unopened box & pallet from somewhere in the back. We were so super impressed with "Rich" today... I asked the ladies up front if that was in fact his name... they didn't know. :( So crossing my fingers I saw it right.

    This place has the worst customer service. I placed an oder online and i waited til the next day to go in store and see what the issue was since the website said over 10 were in stock. The customer service counter rep named grace was rude as hell. She said"well the system shows none in topstock so we must be out". She don't even make an attempt to look in topstock or page a floor rep. So she canceled my order. Double digits is a big discrepancy to have. My order number was WM50993035 in the off chance Home Depot even reads or cares about reviews.

    We really love Home Depot, we have had great experiences with the store and even services they offer. So this is not a dig on Home Depot but I want to say coming back to the store is going to be tough for me. I wrestled with commenting about what happened to us but I want people to know if they see these people and are confronted and attacked by them to call security. We were there last Saturday shopping for plants and just standing in the flowers like anyone would do. This older woman came barreling toward us and very gruffly said. "You need to move". Not please can you move or excuse me. She goes in to say "move, we have 16 trees". My husband politely said, "I will just be a moment". Because we were picking out a few flowers. She became enraged and my husband did let her know we will be done in a moment using an expletive. Her husband walked up to us just inches from our faces and said. "Thanks for the patience stretch". I looked at him and said, "what is wrong with you"? He was very forceful and it was scary because he made sure he was just inches from us. So we moved and checked out. Only to see these people still shopping and suddenly not in a hurry. I snapped a photo of them, if you see these people I don't know what to tell you. I would steer clear of them. But you should be able to shop and enjoy your experience at Home Depot. It was scary because you just don't know what people will do. I am unclear what Home Depot's policy is about guests like this. But if these people do this to you in the Queen Creek Az location. You need to call security. I'm still upset about it.

    Been trying to finish my project for a couple months now and after 3 runs to Home Depot I'm finally done. I've never refinished furniture before but I decided to paint my nightstands and dresser and needed to change out the hardware. I wanted a vintage brass which I found online. With Covid-19 in play, it made it difficult to actually go into a store and just pick out my hardware. I ordered online and thought I got the right size. Well, I didn't and just ordered the next size up. Brought in my order to return and it was easy! Safe practice in place and 6ft apart for at checkout. The last time I ordered I decided to pickup at the store and did a drive up. I arrived at the store and followed directions on email. The worker came out promptly and was very nice. She was even wearing her mask! Thank you Home Depot for helping me finish my project!

Today I went in because I had bought a 6 pack of LED flood light bulbs for our kitchen, when only 2 were bad at that time. Now it is 6 months later, and in trying to use the other new bulbs I found that only 1 of the 4 worked, and the rest were defective from the factory! I took the box back with the receipt, when the cashiers told me that THEIR WARRANTY to exchange or return items is only 30 days, even though the warranty from the manufacturer is 5 years. Therefore if I try to exchange defective items after 31 days, they will refer me to the manufacturer. I realize that each Ace is privately owned, which is why I try to patronize them whenever possible. Unfortunately I cannot count on them given their rigid policy, so I guess I will go to Home Depot from now on, as they would have exchanged these defective bulbs after 6 months, regardless of their store policy. There is such a thing as the "spirit of the law" versus the "Letter of the law", and even the big box stores will look at the facts before chasing customers away. Too bad that the owner of this Ace stores does not give their people the latitude to make decisions that will maintain their customer relations, especially when they could have easily exchanged these bulbs with their distributor. UPDATED on 5/27/26: Since leaving this review I reached out to the manufacturer of these bulbs, and they then sent me 3 more bulbs to replace these non-working ones. I also received an e-mail from a manager of the company, when they advised me that they wanted to make this right, and that I could return to the store to exchange these bulbs. I replied that I had already had them replaced by the manufacturer, but I greatly appreciate their review and willingness to follow through in this exchange. I now understand that nothing is returnable at Ace after 30 days, just like with Amazon! I will return back to Ace in the future, but I will have to check everything within their 30 day return period in order to avoid this issue again. Any warranty claims may only be resolved directly with the manufacturer.

One was wearing earbuds and probably couldn't hear anything. The store was downright gloomy and dark. Not welcoming like it used to be. The lady cashier at the front tried to be a little more helpful, but I already had a bad taste in my mouth. At least I got a bag of popcorn and petted the store cat.

I even brought one of the original slats from home as a reference to make the measurements simple and quick. After sorting through multiple moldy and poor-quality boards to find usable pieces, I loaded everything onto my cart and went looking for assistance because there were no employees around in the lumber yard. As I walked toward the front, I noticed two young associates standing around smoking, joking, and on their phones. I asked one associate, Nick, if he could help cut the wood. Before I could even explain the cuts or the project, he immediately responded with, "I can only cut 5 pieces," followed by an awkward explanation about how I could just buy a saw from the store because "it's easy." There was zero effort to understand what I needed, no customer service, and no willingness to help. He seemed far more interested in getting back to his phone than assisting a paying customer. I explained that I had the sample slat with me to make the measurements easy, but he continued repeating the "5 pieces only" statement. When I asked if that was actually store policy, he simply said "yeah." At that point, I thanked him for his "help" and left without causing a scene in front of my pregnant wife and 1-year-old daughter. As a disabled veteran, I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic customer service and professionalism. I called Home Depot on Power Rd and Germann Rd and asked if they had a cutting limit. The associate immediately said no, asked about my project, what kind of wood I needed, and told me to come in because they would take care of me. That's exactly what they did. The Home Depot associates went above and beyond. They helped me choose better wood options, explained cost differences, recommended a more efficient solution instead of individual slats, cut every piece I needed, and even helped me pick the correct screws for the project. I left there feeling valued as a customer. Unfortunately, Lowe's lost my business that night. Lowe's used to be my go-to store for plants, cleaning supplies, and lumber, but after this experience, I now know which company actually values customer service. If "I don't know, I just work here" was a person, Nick would be the face of it. Do better, Lowe's.

He also recommended using blue glue to prevent future loosening. Thanks to his expertise, I was able to resolve the issue promptly, eliminating the need to wait for a replacement part to arrive from Amazon. The staff's helpfulness and willingness to assist saved me time and hassle. Here's a pic of the blue glue he suggested and some garden plants since that's where I usually visit when i'm at home depot. The staff in garden area are helpful as well.
