Have stayed at the Ramada across the street several times and Ordered dinner at the Moonlight several times. It has never been Ready on time and on 3 occasions I've simply left after being told Repeatedly that "they're getting it right now." I guess if you are not A sit down diner, they figure you are not going to tip...though even With shoddy service I've always tipped 20% on a take out orders. I've given this place every benefit of the doubt. They failed every Time. They should be driven into failure. read more

We wanted to grab a bite before the Mayor Pete town hall a few weekends ago, and this was close by. Our server was amazing and recommended the chicken fried chicken, which was EVERYTHING i could have asked for! The batter is so light and crispy, and I loved the homestyle meal with a roll, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and white gravy. My friend and her daughters have a four hour layover at DIA tomorrow, so I'm hoping they'll want to leave the airport and have dinner with me here! read more

Very poor service. My wife and I placed our orders for nachos as an appetizer and specifically requested no pork green chili on the nachos and red chili instead. They gave is red chili on the side and still put green chili in the nachos. When it came to ordering our entree My wife and i placed our orders and the waitress left before we could tell her the rest of the order for our children. She did not come back until our food was ready and we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the rest of our order. We barely got checked on and had to wait extended times for even something as simple as a napkin. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The service is very good. We had a 6 person group and we each ordered about two things each. Ordering two things each you would think it would take awhile but no the food came out of here really fast. The food here is to die for I would highly recommend the food as well as the drinks. 3.5 stars is an accurate assessment and the yelp! community has not disappointed here. Food is edible and for the price what else can you ask for? I got the patty melt and it was above average melt--not sure their was enough 1000 island and the sautéed onions seemed to be under flavored but it was an above average melt. Good size as well. Rye bread was spot. Could have been more cheese but I like cheese. The onion ring side, however, were undercooked. Not sure if that is their MO on the rings or if the chef just undercooked them. No crisp and too soft, IMO. Maybe some folks like their rings crust soft? Not a bad outing for 18.54 with a diet coke and a $5 tip and of your stuck at one of the hotels in the area then it works. Hire more staff! We were seated in the diner...I got up and went into the bar to check it out...looked ok...but not tempting. On the way a waitress passed me... glazed over looking irritated. 10 minutes later she appeared at our table.... and took our water oder. To cut to the chase.... it took 50 minutes until our meal appeared. She stopped by apologizing for the delay a few times... which was fine the first two or three times....but after 50 minutes... yeah..... we were done. The chicken sandwich and salad were good. When we were about done with the meal... the bus boy put a plastic bin in the booth seat right behind my wife and began DUMPING all of the table contents into the bin like he was in the middle of an empty field. OK. All done... buh bye. A management problem here....since the waitress was busting her b*tt to try to serve the 10 or more tables that she was responsible for. I am visiting colorado from california and ate at the moonlight diner today for breakfast after a long day of traveling. First, the interior & exterior of the diner was so cute. I absolutely loved the retro details the owners added to give it character. Secondly, the staff was very kind and very serving. We ordered the big breakfast burrito, the banana bread french toast, and the chicken fried steak bc they seemed to have great reviews. We got it within 10-15 min and was impressed for the most part. I HIGHLY recommend the banana bread french toast as it was superb and I recommend the big breakfast burrito with carne adobo as it was quite tasty & filling. I sadly cannot say the same for the chicken fried steak. None of my family members enjoyed it as it was over cooked and too heavily breaded. It was more breading than chicken so we were disappointed. The gravy on top was also not very tasty. Overall, the experience was pretty good. Most of the food seems to look and taste good so I recommend locals and visitors to visit. read more

I was excited to stop here. The place looked cute and atmosphere seemed pleasant. But the food was not worth the price. Chicken fried chicken, looked great, but the chicken had a funky taste.Husband said chicken fried steak was pretty good. The mash potatoes and vegetable were good. The kids meals, noodles and French toast were good according to my grand daughters. But it was one slice of thin bread for the French toast. ]Husband did not receive his salad, had to ask several times and still never got it. We were not asked if we wanted drink refills.
