The cinnamon roll was the best I've had in Denver and I am a cinnamon roll lover. The rest of the food was solid especially the smothered burrito. The service was great and the old diner feel is cozy.

Went to "Butcher Block Cafe" in early May 2026 and they didn't disappoint. The cinnamon roll is a delicious as all the other reviews say. I also liked their smothered breakfast burrito which was the perfect amount of food for the price. I got the burrito, cinnamon roll and iced tea for under $20 with tip. Will be coming back!

Quick service!! Placed an order for pick up during lunch hour and my order was ready in less than 10min. I ordered the smothered breakfast burrito and a home made cinnamon roll! They were both delicious.

DANG! Was at the RINO County Club and saw this place advertising homemade Cinnamon Rolls! Wow! These guys are big and easily one if the best the four in our group have had. The lady at the counter gave amazing service and was very friendly. We did not eat a meal here, but looking at some of the others there eating, it all looked good and smelled good.

Stopped by on Saturday for a late breakfast. The parking lot is small but plenty of street parking. We were able to get a table right away. We had to try their cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint. It was soft, warm and gooey. Im already wanting to go back. Their french toast is classic and the one slice, egg & bacon is the perfect size dish with the cinnamon roll.

If you love breakfast food, this spot is a must-try! The food is always consistent, the prices are affordable, and the servers are incredibly friendly. It feels like stepping back in time, not your trendy brunch spot, but the kind of place that serves all your go-to breakfast classics just right. It's a seat-yourself setup, first come, first served, which adds to the cozy, hometown feel. Think of it as a family-owned, elevated version of Waffle House. Parking is limited to a small lot, but there's free street parking and additional spots across the street at the RTD lot.

I am still dreaming and drooling over the homemade cinnamon roll. That was sooo delicious with the glaze over it and yummy cinnamon-ness!! It was very filling but also hard to stop eating ;0) My husband ordered the hash browns with green chili sauce, pancakes, and toast and it was all good too! The hostess was very nice and helpful. It has a cute ambiance with a diner feel and welcoming atmosphere.

Ashley was fantastic! Earlier in the day we stopped off to drop off our luggage. Yes you read right. They have a service called Luggage Hero (yes they were our hero!). We dropped off our luggage for a small fee & we were able to enjoy walking around town. We came back later in the evening to pick up our luggage & decided to have one of their homemade cinnamon rolls (family owned recipe). It was absolutely delicious! It was eaten faster than remembering to take a photo! Lol. We already ate dinner otherwise this diner looks like they would "deliver!" The menu looks great & the prices are even better. Thanks Team Butcher Block Cafe! We will be back!

I fell for an Instagram post showing fresh cinnamon rolls and 24/7 service, but the reality was disappointing. The cinnamon rolls were reheated in a microwave and not freshly made. Even worse, the staff were very unprofessional talking negatively about a coworker while I was the only customer there. My food order wasn't prepared fresh either; it looked like it was just scraped from the griddle. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.

Corned beef hash paired with the rye toast was every one bit worth every one bite. I enjoyed this so deeply and gracefully surrounded by the authentic atmosphere with real people and personalities through all employees!!

I miss the DINER scene in Denver, so glad to stumbled across this one. It's your basic diner eats, nothing mind blowing here. But it's clean, the staff is super friendly, and for the price, you can't beat it! They are famous for their cinnamon roll so, of course I had to try one. It's good, loaded with cinnamon and sugar, definitely enough to share. I'm more of a cream cheese frosting fan myself, but for the price and portion says I would order it again. The cheeseburger was tasty. It's your basic DINER cheeseburger, but sometimes simple is best! And at this location they are currently offering $5 burger and fries after 3:30 PM. (It's $1 extra to add cheese). Much better taste, quality and price than McDonald's or most other fast food drive-throughs!

I wanted a burger he wanted to sit down meal and we ended up at the Moonlight Diner. Walking into the diner is like a step back in time. The decor is 1950s memorabilia with chrome touches and leather wrapped seating. It's everything you would think a diner would be but the food is so much more. They have a full bar as well as dairy treats, including shakes and malts. They also have breakfast all day and love their pancakes. They also serve barbecue. But I went for the patty melt. And my other half went for breakfast. His breakfast was the mountain man breakfast and was full of meats, eggs hashbrowns, and Ken with pancakes, but he opted for English buffet instead. It also came with a side of toast. It was a very ample breakfast. My patty melt sure did hit the spot. It was a perfectly medium cooked hamburger on rye with cheddar, and Swiss melted with grilled onions and thousand island dressing. Instead of fries, I went for the mashed potatoes and gravy. It was comfort food to the max. My date also got the peanut butter shake. He slurped that down in a hot minute. He said it was wonderful. He offered me a taste at least twice before I noticed it was gone. There's also meatloaf on the menu as well as a pulled pork barbecue Frito pie and they have a Frito pie burger. They also serve meatloaf. They have several classics and several twists. I recommend going there. There's something for everyone.

Stopped by and we were seated right away and place was clean and the diner was pretty simple than the other ones ive been too so far :). Menu offered a whole variety of breakfast classics as well as burgers/handhelds and milkshakes which ive still yet to tried. Decaf coffee was good, I could drink it multiple times, will definetely order next time. Sweet Potato fries were really delicious and the steak flavor was okay, but atleast it was still tender/cooked perfectly, just wished it punch more but not bad. Mash potato was pretty disappointing. Patty melt was perfect and fries that came with it were perfect. HUGE PORTION TOO!! Ive also ordered a side of Mac which was also reallyyyy good. Service was fast and we were checked on plenty of times and the lady was nice. .. Pretty simple, nothing really over the top, but otherwise satisfied belly and will come back if craving more

The staff member on the phone was very accommodating and helpful. It took us a few tries to find parking, but there is street parking available nearby. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. We were seated on the covered patio that was equipped with heaters. The heaters were on full blast on a 73 degree day. We asked if it was possible to turn down the heat but they said they could not. It's good that they have strong heaters for colder days but it's a lot less pleasant on the warmer ones. It was to the point where my entire chest and face were bright red by the end of the dining experience. One of the people in our party ordered an iced tea and all of the ice melted after a few minutes. The service started out on the more negative side. Our server kept disappearing and his nose was visibly running when he came by the table. His responses were also very short when we asked questions. He did appear to be in a much better mood later on in the experience after we had our food. He began to check on us more frequently and was a lot more chatty. The monkey bread was on the more dry side and some of the pieces were very crispy, but it had a good level of sweetness that wasn't overwhelming. The rest of the food was just okay. I ordered the North Shore 3-way and the entire bottom bun was soggy. I ended up just not eating the bottom bun because it was extremely mushy. The flavors of the dish didn't mix well together. Their version of a smash burger was pretty good. It looks a little bit lonely if you order it as is because it doesn't have a side that comes with it unless you pay extra. They have a lot of cocktails that looked interesting, but we didn't end up ordering any during this trip. Based on this experience, I wouldn't feel the need to return on my own but I would give it another try if someone else wanted to go.

We headed down to a crowded restaurant around 11 AM. It was pretty packed because it was opening day for the Colorado Rockies, and everyone was getting pre-game food. We checked in, to find that it was only about a 15-20 minute wait, a perfect amount of time to get mimosas at the bar. It actually turned out that we had a nice little area to drink our mimosas near the hostess stand, where we got to chat with other patrons. The restaurant itself is an upscale and modern diner, with modern diner food. It had a bight aesthetic. Once we were seated, we got to look over the menu. We decided to share the Maple Deviled Eggs and OG Hash with soyrizo. I was glad we shared so we could try both dishes. Also, the portions were rather large. Anyway, we enjoyed the food. It was creative and flavorful. There were lots of menu items the sounded good, so it was difficult to decide. It was also fun to try a couple of breakfast cocktails, for something different than a mimosa. All in all, we had a great brunch at The Original, and it was a great way to start our day.
