So this establishment is getting a low star rating based on our experience. First of all we were down south and wanted to go to the Aurora location but to our disappointment we learned that one has been closed permanently. So we googled our next choice and this one was closest to where we were. Located in Glendale close to Cherry creek and I think Quebec but basically in the heart of Glendale. Nice restaurant, very busy. We had about a 30 minute wait but it wasn't terrible plenty of tv's and some good music playing overhead. When we sat down we were greeted and our drink order was taken by the bartender. We eventually were greeted by our server and we had plenty of time to decide what we wanted for our lunch. My wife opted for the chili cheese burger and I for the Mexican hamburger. My wife enjoyed her meal and I not so much . I had to ask for extra green chili as half of my Mexican hamburger was exposed and not truly smothered as it should be. And it was funny because we smelt something burning and my wife joked that it probably my hamburger and low and behold when I cut into my hamburger it tasted burnt and the outside was charred. And we were not at Burger King,lol. The green chili seemed to not have any seasoning or kick and tasted like it was out of a can Ala Stokes green chili. Which isn't terrible if your not of Hispanic culture or in college or don't know what green chili is supposed to taste like but I do and expected more from Sams as this isn't the first time we've dined at thier locations and its always been favorable. And as far as our service, it was subpar and terrible. Our waitress was pretty much non existent other than taking our orders. The bartender was more present than she was and even than I had to walk up to the bar and ask him for his help to order a shake and a to-go box. Even when we were ready to pay we had to go to the host stand and ask for our check to pay our bill and explain what we had in order for the host to find our check. So all in all it was a fair experience but we will probably go to the location downtown next time even though parking is at a premium im always looking for a reason to spend a little time in Denver. So would I recommend? Maybe ,maybe not. I just wouldn't order the Mexican hamburger again. So that is my opinion and if you go I wish you a better experience than we had. read more

My hub and and shared the steak burrito. It's huge, as the menu promises. It's covered in cheese, comes with their green chili on top, sautéed onions and peppers inside. They didn't skimp on the juicy steak or on the cheese. It's topped with diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce. We also ordered a side of tots. The side of tots could easily feed a family of 4. They are crispy and seasoned awesomely. Loved the decor and fun music. read more

Still a win! Today I just opted for a couple sides rather than a full entree, but I did try a new mimosa flavor, the anti oxidant! The name is silly haha because who thinks of a cocktail as antioxidant? There were blueberries at the bottom of the glass, so I guess that's why it's named that. But anyway, it is fantastic and my new favorite. My friend ordered the patty melt, and it was excellent; sorry for the wonky, not-properly-centered picture of it! Our server was a little flat with her facial expressions and responses at first, but I truly believe our goofy senses of humor won her over. Win win!! A weekday breakfast/brunch usually gets you a table, as it's never too loud or crowded, but it is almost always somewhat busy here. That's a testimony to their fun and expansive menu, and consistent service and timing of ordering. I will continue to recommend Sam's #3. read more

I came to this location for the first time and had a good time. The service didn't wow me but the food came out pretty quickly. The pies are delicious so they're worth checking out. My salad size was huge so it kept me for 2 meals. Worth the money. I'll be back again. read more

This is my go to place for breakfast and now that I know they're open until 8 PM. I started going for dinner too. I usually have a cheeseburger deluxe with a bowl of chili no beans for breakfast. I have the two egg breakfast with chili and no beans so I guess I'm saying try the chili with no beans service is always great. It's a great place to sit and dine and people watch. read more

Sam's No. #3 continues to offer consistent food and service. We dine often at the Glendale location. The restaurant is clean, the staff is nice and the food is is consistent. Their portions are huge. I typically get an omelet and take home at least half. Prices have gone up so much... I realize that this is happening everywhere in the food industry. I have been going to Sams for well over a decade now and I will say their food quality has never waivered. No matter what I get on the menu I am never disappointed. Their service goes along with that as well. We get take out often at my work but even when we dine in the restaurant, the staff is always super friendly, quick and everyone seems to like their job. That makes for such a great atmosphere. This last time I got the BLAT with a side of mashed potatoes, which i have to say was a rather large 'side'. One of our favorite Denver spots to eat! The menu is Sam's is HUGE and there's something for everyone. Their omelettes and pancakes are especially yummy. A couple of tips: --Go on Yelp before you go and get on the waitlist. Especially for weekend breakfast/brunch, there's often a long wait. --If you have food allergies or have diet restrictions, the waitstaff are helpful and accommodating. Dearest of Yelp folks, whatever you do don't make the mistake I made at Sam's No. 3 in Glendale-a place I usually love: Don't order the chili rellenos unless you want to down a pound or two of mediocre American cheese balled up in a tortilla or two, and not having all that much taste. In looking back at my poor ordering decision, at least I can say I tried to redeem myself by accompanying my error with a Bloody Mary, but frankly that was kinda meh too. I had high expectations being that this had been on the Food Network and that had nearly 5 stars on yelp. Everything was a little bit expensive but then again I guess I'm in Denver. But nonetheless, when my burrito came out, it was literally like the size of my head. But yet it was light and fluffy and delicious. I got the three meat burrito, which did not disappoint.
