Me and a few of my girlfriends were recommended this restaurant. Over all, the food (I had the pulled pork that's only served on the weekend) and it was incredible!!! However, as soon as we opened the door, we received a really nasty attitude and domineer from "Riley" who kinda spoiled our experience. She wasn't at all accommodating or did she make us feel welcomed. Also, we ordered "doubles" for cocktails and we were charged them but they definitely weren't doubles. We watched the lady pour. We stopped in for a busy breakfast. We got sat in one of the worst seats (right next to the kitchen and between a huge party). But food was good, I had the eggs Benedict and he had the banana bread French toast. The Benedict was OK, I asked for poached eggs and received over easy. The place was empty when we went here at 9:30 PM on a Sunday. I ordered a grilled cheese(wheat bread and pepper jack) with noodle soup and my husband, a turkey Reuben sandwich with enchilada soup. The sandwiches were just okay. The noodle soup didn't taste good, and was served almost cold. On a positive side the portions served were quite filling. read more

First of all when we came in the door, it took 3 to 4 minutes to be spoken to and then the manager or whoever he was, just said "this way", and took its to a table. Slow service, flys at the table, and food was cold. Very creative service. I won't be coming back. read more

Cool retro diner feel with a surprisingly large array of alcoholic beverage choices. We were staying near the airport before a flight out of town and needed a place that would be amenable to the varying tastes of our group of 8. Everyone had a decent meal, and the portion sizes were good. While it was a busy time of night our wait for a seat was only about 10 minutes, and our server was friendly and accurate. Looks like they do some bbq here too, so maybe it's pretty good? I had a buffalo chicken wrap that hit the spot. I waited to be seated behind a man who said he'd been there for five minutes. He finally decided to seat himself at the counter. Two minutes later still no service for him so he left. Two minutes later someone sits me at the counter. No one comes for to me for 5 minutes...you get the picture. I left. The place was 20% occupancy. I went to nearby Village Inn. Not sure what is going on at Moonlight. Looks like a good place. But maybe run as a hobby. Not professional. Can't believe the owner let's this ship sail like this with the quality of food this place could be turning tables like a revolving door. I used to manage restaurants im a little bit picky but anybody would agree that this place has trouble with wait staff I don't think it's the kitchen, it's the service. After 20 minutes without a drink request I twice walked up to the bar to witch the bartender didn't notice me (the only guy at the bar) because she was attempting to stab a single olive with a very tiny martini sword out of a commercial size jar of olives lol. The pure comedy of it did not Escape me after a couple minutes of watching her try to attempt this almost impossible feat I learned her to my presence. She couldn't have rolled her eyes harder and felt more put out to take an order at the bar because my server was not showing up to the table. Please keep in mind I wrote this review and didn't finish it for a couple months so things may have changed. However until someone can say that the wait staff has been trained or changed I will not be back and it's a shame cuz this is some of the best dinner style food I've ever had in any state. In case people are wondering it wasnt one occasion it was two different occasions and I'm not exaggerating when I say 20 minutes I have a bad habit of looking at my seat time from training servers in the past. If anyone has ever been in this situation 20 minutes in a restaurant feels like 20 hours when you haven't received your drink. On top of that we have a one-and-a-half-year-old. what a shame I would Splash puddle water on an old lady for their meatloaf JK it's that good! Please give me a reason guys to give you another try and let me know if that bartender has gotten the olive on to that Martini sword yet. Since my previous review I have stopped by this place a few times - each time not as great as the first, but my last experience here is enough to make me stop coming back. I now understand the other reviews that mentioned terrible service - this waitress was easily the worst service I've had at a restaurant in awhile. She was slow to take our order and then we waited insanely long for our food to come out. The appetizer we ordered was delivered cold and about 5 minutes before our main food would come out. Our waitress simply said, "I didn't know if you wanted it beforehand." The food was also the worst we've experienced here. It was clear it had been seating for a bit. And then as if our server hadn't made us wait enough already, when she dropped off the check - we put our payment out promptly as she was nowhere to be found for a good 15 minutes. That combined with what happened earlier, we got fed up. I would like to say this was just a bad night, but if this was my first time here - I would never come back. And now I don't think I'll be back for awhile. read more

FLY INFESTATION. The service is not a problem the breakfast (how can u mess that up) is just breakfast. but the fly's are OUT OF CONTROL. I understand you cannot do much about fly's getting in but the amount of fly's and how many landed on me and we're all over our food was DISGUSTING!!! And out of control!! had one bite and had to leave. We didn't have to pay for our food but fair warning if u eat there. management needs to set up fly traps and lots of them. I can imagine how many fly's landed on our food while sitting in the window!! read more

I would not even give this place 1 star. Worst place to go if you find yourself stranded in Denver. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Manager on duty was VERY rude. They require customers to wear masks to walk through the door but don't have any to hand out to paying customers. And cooks in back aren't wearing masks. So paying customers get kicked out if you don't have a mask but it's ok for the cooks in the back that are handling your food to not have to wear masks. He's a rude middle aged over weight white man that deserves to loose his job. Also, we saw others before us get seated without a mask on. I'm a single mom with 3 teenagers that we're all starving and he not only turned us away but was completely rude to us as well. read more

Really good breakfast! Needed a breakfast restaurant place close to the airport since we arrived on an early am flight and we were hungry. Good breakfast menu with good selection. My husband had the Golden breakfast with cornmeal pancakes, green chili's and gravy. Very good! I had the Colorado breakfast with braised beef. Yum! Beef was tender and generous portion. I visited this location twice in one week in order to give them a chance after the terrible experience I had the first time. Was I wrong the second time was even worse. I went to have breakfast 01/25/19. My toast did not have butter when I had asked for butter. I waited about 3 minutes until I first saw a waitress. I ask her can you please have them put butter on my toast. Her reply to me was " I'm not you server and walked away" I was livid about her comment. I also happened to go have breakfast 01/24/19 around noon time. I sat on the counter for quicker service. I ordered French toast. I noticed the gentle man sat down 10 minutes afterwards next to me ordered country fried steak. His food came out before my French toast. In which you need to drop the breaded steak in the fryer for about 4 minutes at least. I asked my server what was going on with my order and he stated " since you have French toast it takes a little longer". Hello all you have to do is dip it in the batter and cook it on the flat grill. Well after waiting 27 minutes they finally made it to me. In which at that time I had lost my appetite. I had the meat lovers omelet, the sausage was processed and the egg seem like they came out of a carton as they were definitely not fresh eggs. The pancakes were okay, actually they were just fine. But the omelet was the sorriest excuse for an omelette I have had since University cafeteria days. So, an omelet, hash browns, pancakes and a cup of coffee was almost $20. it's probably the best of the worst options because all around the area is a bunch of overpriced hotels. The menu here is almost the same price as a hotel. I will never go back. The service was fine but food was very overpriced for a diner. read more
