Gem in Santa Paula…read more Marella - fantastic bartender. Makes anything great. I had an old fashioned and a whiskey sour (the real one with egg whites) Fernando - wonderful bartender. Very attentive, kind, and professional Food - I only had the pork eggs benedict, it was A++ cornbread as the base, the pork was very tender and tasty, and the Benedict sauce was great to complement. The cheesy grits were delicious as well. Make sure to try their homemade hot sauce as this made my experience even better. The owner - Tracy. She was there both times that I went and was not only nice in talking with me and my friend, but she worked alongside the servers and the barista's to maintain everybody's service. This place is one you have to go to if you're in Santa Paula. Great ambience, they had New Orleans Jazz playing each time I went. The place was busy with a bunch of locals so it's well known, but everyone worked so well together I never had to wait for anything.

Having only two soda options was weird to me but it's either Coke or sprite. Heard the beignets were a must but once we got the they were so dense! Needed to be way more airy. The fried green tomatoes were fine, needed salt but damn 3 slices of tomatoes for $10 is insane. Grits were good but again needed salt (a common theme here). Chips were fine but you guessed it needed salt. The Mac and cheese was definitely my favorite thing here! Needed no salt or anything added! So good! I would try this place again but not high on my list

Solid Starbucks location…read more We stopped in here each morning on a recent trip to work/visit the California Strawberry Festival at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Wish my mobile app worked correctly, but that's a separate issue. We were still able to drive through and use the mobile app. The baristas were friendly and our drinks were perfectly made each time. Food was hot and delicious when we ordered it as well. The next time we stay in the area, we are most definitely stopping back to this spot.

This Starbucks has the worst service I have ever experienced at a store. Service - I've experienced sitting at the DT order box for minutes without someone greeting me. I had to prompt them to remind them I was there. Just today, I experienced being at the DT window for at least a full 2-3 mins before anyone acknowledged me. Once I was, they didn't know my name or my order. (I placed a mobile 10 mins prior) Time - DT line takes 15+ mins, minimum. Despite length of line. Lack of urgency - See all above. Employers inside appear to be frazzled, confused, careless, or all of the above. Cleanliness - Abysmal. Area outside DT window is dirty and appears unprofessional. DT windows are dusty and dirty. I used to be a director of drive thru operations for a fast food chain, so I am sure I look at details more than most. Nonetheless, given the reviews before me, it seems I'm not the only one noticing. Something needs to change ASAP.

Everything has always been delicious, and that's actually what brought me back. I remembered this place being amazing when I was in college about 10 years ago, so I was excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We ordered 4 basic cheeseburgers, small fries, and only 2 drinks, and the total came to $67. For what we received, that price felt incredibly high, especially compared to other burger places nearby. The burgers looked great with all the fresh toppings and vegetables, but the flavor just wasn't there. They were big and visually appealing, yet surprisingly bland. It felt like a lot of ingredients piled together without much seasoning or taste to make the burger stand out. The one bright spot was the customer service. The staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely sweet throughout our visit, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was shocked and disappointed. I don't mind spending $67 if the food is worth it, but in this case, it simply wasn't. The desserts and ice cream are still 5-star quality, but based on this experience, the burgers were mediocre, flavorless, and way too expensive for what they were.

I have heard great reviews of this restaurant, so it was time to check it out in person. Unfortunately, as it was late when I arrived, I only settled in for some drinks at the bar. Our bartender Dillon warmly greeted us at the bar. Dillon provided us with great information on the restaurant, and his favorite drinks and food items. The restaurant offers a lot of choices- they have a special drink menu for brunch, as well as a brunch, lunch and dinner menu food items. Plus, a menu for drinking throughout opening time. There is something for everyone on the menus- that include a selection of salads, seafood and meats. Plus, an array of appetizers, and more. We settled down for a couple of drinks- With the recommendation of the bartender's top drink choices- I choose to get a lemon drop. The lemon drop was a perfect ending to my night. Great for a warm night. Dillon, the bartender, also suggested a spritz and margarita. I will be back for a bloody Mary with stuffed olives, but maybe for brunch. On the brunch menu, I am looking forward to trying an eggs benedict with my drink. As for ambiance- Parque 1055 is a great space. The restaurant has an event space- on the night we were visting they were doing painting. In the middle of the room there is a large bar- with seating all the way around that offers happy hour throughout the weekdays. Inside their is seating along the wall and a host of tables throughout for small and large parties. The outside patio space is great- lots of seating, which is great for cooler nights. Lastly, the indoor space connects to the outdoor space with the garage doors- always nice to get fresh air. Lastly, it was a pleasure to meet the staff at the restaurant that were all warm and graciously greeted us- thanks Dillon for your great service at the bar. And Meghan, lovely to meet you in person. Cheers and we look forward to trying more.....!

It's an old automotive repair shop that's been transformed into a beautiful restaurant, with what was once the parking lot now serving as a massive outdoor dining patio. It's a great blend of history and modern design. We came during happy hour, which was a great value. My wife enjoyed a glass of wine, I had a beer, and both were discounted. We shared the surf and turf (ahi and filet), which was excellent, along with the flatbread pizza. The clam chowder was one of the highlights--a huge bowl loaded with real clams. We finished the evening with fried ice cream and an espresso, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Every person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great food, great drinks, outstanding service, and one of the best outdoor dining atmospheres in Ventura County. We'll definitely be back.
