The checker patterns, the faded signs, all point to a time since last but reachable for a few minutes at this drive one. Price is reasonable. A gem in the Titusville area! I loved everything about this place, it was super cute and retro- the service was great, the workers actively check in with you and are fast with orders and bringing food. You can eat inside or stay in your car and if you stay in the car they bring out a tray that can hang on your window. It's very affordable. I ordered the chuckwagon sandwich which was a country fried steak sandwich, and onion petals which were all really good. I also ordered the banana milkshake and dare I say it was the best banana milkshake I ever had. And I think it makes a cute date if you go to the beach and stop here or the Kennedy space center. Service was super down to earth and really kind, and the food was legit a true classic of the classics but like good. The milkshake actually altered my brain chemistry -- like both rich chocolate ice cream AND chocolate milk energy- insane. I'm lactose intolerant and still ran that order with zero fear and honestly was worth it. The chilli cheese fries had this weird sweet taste to it. And honestly, nothing special. The burgers and fries also weren't special, but it didn't taste bad. It wasn't "Whoa, this is amazing," but we both enjoyed it. I got the deluxe burger and hubs got the double? While I waited for my food, I had a great conversation with the servers. What a friendly staff. My food was brought out to me. I would say that both were very good. The chili cheese hot dog had a bit too much cheese (at least for me), but it was still a good hot dog. Next time, I will just get chili and cheese. The cheeseburger was very good. This is a great classic drive up diner. The building has to be from the 50s. Granted the waitress was that our roller skates like the 50s. The themes, Pictures of the wall, Tables even the bathrooms being built on the outside of the building really gave you a warm feeling. The service was good and attentive. Fabulous lunch this weekend at the historic Moonlight Drive-In. We opted for inside seating due to the heat. We were quickly and pleasantly greeted upon arriving and chose a booth (note: the restaurant does primarily function as a drive-in as their name states; there were many cars eating their food carry-out style under a shaded overhang via old school metal window trays, so that's a fun and nostalgic option for those who are on-the-go or can't snag one of their few tables). We ordered two cheeseburgers: one deluxe and the other the deluxe with bacon. They both came with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, sliced white onion, sliced pickle, mayo, and ketchup. One combo was ordered with plain fries, cheese sauce on the side, & a vanilla Coke. The other combo was upgraded to chili cheese tater tots as a side, with a jumbo regular Coke. The food came out hot and fresh, with generous portion sizes. It's obvious that the burger patties are frozen, the buns from a bag, the cheese from a can...but that's just fine and dandy as this place is not trying to be pretentious or cosplay as something it's not. It's just a quaint roadside stop that serves tasty and affordable food with a smile. Our burgers were large, juicy, and well-seasoned, as I'm sure their flat-top is. The buns were soft and not stale, and able to withstand the weight of the toppings without falling apart. My only real critique is that the fries were too "blonde" for my liking - they could have used an extra minute in the fryer. But they were hot and plentiful. All of the veggies were fresh and hand-cut. The vanilla Coke was made to-order with syrup. But the best part was the price! All that food, with several upgrades, for only $32 bucks! Four stars for a cute drive in diner. The inside is small and cute with a few tables if you wish to dine inside rather than in your car or to go. We snagged a couple tables for our party of 5 (kids sat behind us separately as the booths are teeny). We all ordered burgers ranging from singles with no cheese to doubles with cheese. I think my burger fell apart because I added too much ketchup. (Love me some ketchup). Everyone else's burgers stayed intact. Service was pretty quick and our server was very sweet. No one had room for any shakes (so sad). It just means we'll have to come back another time. read more
