Visited Titusville for some Flea Market fun, and decided to try Wayback to make the time there all the more exciting. I ordered the Cheeeesy Burger combo meal. Let me tell you, I LOVE burgers. Every restaurant we try for the first time, that's what I order. The quality of a burger is what determines how often we'll eat at that establishment or even if we will again. That was the BEST burger I've ever had. Forget Sonic, or Red Robin, even. This was packed full of the finest meat, the cheesiest cheese, and toasted bread. It was so mouthwatering that I took my time eating it just so I could savor the delicious taste longer. It was one of those times where you wished you had ordered two of them. I was also impressed with the fries. They were perfect! The establishment was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs and working together. Kaley who is manning the register has no sense of customer service. Very inconsistent. She greeted the guest before and after me. But didn't greet me, not even a simple hello. I basically just told her my order she didn't ask me anything else or if I wanted or needed anything else. I had to do all the asking on my own. All workers are wearing masks that covers up to their noses, but not her. Her mask is actually hanging below her bottom lip. What's the point/purpose? It's not too busy, but busy enough. The wait for food is ridiculous. I had time to pop on over to Ulta, stand in that line, and make a purchase, come back and food still isn't ready. ‍ Food wasn't all that great. Wayback Burgers- International Chain- Titusville, FL 4 Stars Glancing down once again in disbelief, I double-checked the name of my next location as it appeared on my random place generator. Yep. It said, "Wayback Burgers." I scratched my head in wonderment. I had no idea that Mr. Peabody and Sherman had started a burger chain, but here we are. While they actually have nothing to do with that beloved cartoon of my youth, they have been around since my youth with beginnings in 1991. From a modest start to an international chain in about 20 years is some success story, so I figured they can't be all that bad. As I entered the place, I was greeted with a warm welcome and we picked a table. Trey was working the front of the house, the back of the house, the side of the house, underneath the house and was a tad stressed as he is alone. I guess that worker shortage is real. Trey was perhaps a bit out of sorts, but he held himself together with professionalism and soldiered through. For a fast-food type of place, their menu wasn't anything to write home about, but I didn't find it lacking either. From burgers to sandwiches and chicken along with hot dogs and self-proclaimed hand-dipped milkshakes and salads for the rabbit crowd, I was sure they had everyone covered. I asked Trey for one Rodeo Burger (medium rare) and Cheeeesy (their spelling, not mine) Burger, also medium-rare. As Trey retreated to the back of the house to prepare my order, I was left with some "mulling time." As I was pontificating on the employment shortage and about to solve it for everybody, Trey returned with my order. Maybe next time I will solve the myriad of problems facing our country, right now, though, it's time to get my grub on. One bite and my choppers immediately went into a line dance of tangy choreography. The combination of flavors was a true delight on the palate. The sauce had just the right amount of tanginess to remind one it was BBQ, but not enough heat to bury the tastiness of the beef, onion and cheese. Moving on to the Cheeeesy burger, I was expecting this to be meh. I mean, honestly, it's a cheeseburger. How different can it be from the thousands of others I have shoved in my pie whole over the decades? Well, quite actually. With four slices of pasteurized American Cheese product melted amongst two all-beef, hand-formed burgers served on a buttered inverted bun this was by far one of the coolest Cheese anything I have had in a very long time. So instead of our normal Taco Tuesday we decided to check this place out since it recently opened. I had never heard of them so I didn't know what to expect. When we entered there was a line so it gave us time to decide what to order. They offer more than just burgers. They have chicken and fish sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak and salads. All of the sandwiches and sides are a la carte but you can make them into a combo. I decided to go with the cheesy burger and my son got a regular single cheeseburger with lettuce tomato pickles. We chose to do a combo which came with fries and a drink but you can pay a little more and get a milkshake which is the option we chose. Total bill was $23 which is a little pricey considering it's quick service. Once the order was placed we found a seat. They serve your order table-side after ordering. Seating can be an issue. There are 3 tables that seat 6 and 11 tables that seat 4. All of the smaller tables were taken so we had to sit at a 6 person table and it was just 2 of us. We didn't have to wait too long for our food. The milkshakes are homemade but they use flavored syrup for a lot of them which if I had known I would not have ordered. I ordered the strawberry banana and although the flavor was good it was way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. The burgers arrived shortly after the milkshakes and they looked great! Well looking good and tasting good are two different things. What happened to people seasoning the meat before cooking it? It was a bland burger and also as stated in other reviews very greasy! Between the bland greasy burger and the overly sweet milkshake I couldn't finish my meal. The fries were just ok. I probably should have tried the onion rings. Honestly I may or may not return. Oh how I want to really like this place, but... ...the service leaves something to be desired. As far as the food is concerned, really no complaints. From their burgers, to their chicken sandwiches, to the slammers - all of it real good. Even their shakes are of different varieties and super tasty. But the service - oh how miserably slow. We ordered via Uber Eats and they put cheese when we had selected the no cheese option on one of the Classic Burgers. I called the manager because honestly this is the 3rd time this has happened during Covid. I asked her how she was going to make things right because it's 7 o'clock on a Friday night . And I she felt "threatened " by me and literally hung up on me . This is the worst customer Service. I will contact the corporate office In Connecticut because this behavior was unacceptable,. I did not curse or verbally assailed anyone all I wanted was compensation because of the delivery. Who doesn't like a good burger? I love grilling burgers and eating them. So when we passed this new spot called, "Wayback Burgers" while in Titusville for work, we made an effort to come back the next day and check it out: at first glance, the place looked clean and welcoming. My crew and I had to take a minute to absorb all of the options available to us for our entrees and sides. They had cheesesteaks, single and double burgers, fish, chicken, fries and onion rings. Now think about all of that with your choice of toppings. Yeah, sounds like any other specialty burger joint out here these days. So I buckled down and went all in on the bacon double cheese burger with lettuce, tomato, mayo and grilled onions with a side of fries and a drink. I must admit that the sandwich was ordinary. It was filling, but the taste was nothing that made be want to come back there to eat again. The fries looked like they were frozen and not hand cut. I think that using fresh food across the board should be the norm these days. I'm not saying that the food is bad, I'm just saying that I didn't leave here wanting to come back. Amazing new burger spot. We tried it today and were a bit discouraged by the negative reviews. The wait staff was awesome -- very friendly and attentive to ensure our meal was perfect. The restaurant was nice and clean. Let's start with the burger - my wife ordered the classic with American and pretty much everything on it with side of fries and chocolate shake. I went with the single with pepperjack cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños and chipotle mayo with a side of fries and a cafe mocha shake. The burgers were both cooked perfectly to order and were delicious. The fries were fresh and hot with skin on - nice crisp (hate soggy greasy fries)! The shakes were thick and rich - I loved them both. So it would seem it would depend on what you order... I have read comments on grease but one would expect that when it says the bun is buttered/grilled. We did not try the onion rings but they did look good on the plates we saw coming out. We are both stuffed time for a nap! My only comment would be its a bit pricey for two of us - $21 bucks. But we will be back again soon! read more

It's nice to have a little burger joint in Titusville compared to all the fast food chains. Staff was really friendly, food was great, and the atmosphere was really cool. I highly recommend ordering the chips over the french fries because looked and tasted like they make them in house. I got lunch from Wayback in Titusville Fl today: a double meat classic and a small drink. It cost $8.55. It was a very good burger. I can't complain about the price. Here's the problem: when I got there, there was no-one in line ahead of me. A guy had just ordered and stepped aside to wait. I ordered and waited 15 minutes as I saw the two people behind the counter cook lots and lots of burgers, presumably for call-in and online orders. I eventually had to go to the counter and ask for my burger. I had intended to eat there but by the time I got my food, my lunch hour was over. I had to get it "to go". When I suggested to the person behind the counter that my single burger should have been cooked right away, since I was standing right there waiting, instead of cooking multiple orders for people who were not there, the cook was shocked. I did get an apology but it was an indignant "Sorry!" kind of apology. Wayback is very erratic in customer service. I've had extremely good experiences there, and I've had really horrid service there. Today, I had the impression that the two people working there were beat down and indifferent to their customers. I want to love this place because I love hotdogs . But why are the buns cold ? I will ask for it to be toasted on the griddle if there's a next time .And this time the chili was cold for the chili dog . The other hot dogs was dripping mustard and relish ?? .
