    Wall of honor

We were looking for a quick stop for launch in Titusville and stumbled on this place - so glad we did! A nice little place with a few tables (lots of takeout traffic while we were there!). As an Army brat, I love that the owners are veterans (as are their two sons!) and the decor includes a wall of honor for service members from all branches (as well as first responders). All the food looks delicious and we look forward to coming back and trying the wings and burgers, but hubs and I opted for the cheesesteaks (one beef and one chicken) on this visit. Both were very good and had plenty of meat; I would have preferred a toasted bun. There is also a little grocery adjoining the restaurant which looked great!

First and foremost, this establishment is owned & operated by veterans. The burgers are tasty, reasonably priced, and cooked to order. The small order of onion rings...not small at all! The ambiance is veteran-ish... 6 tables simply stated seat 24. The service is extremely fast and efficient. Try the steak burger...well seasoned and comes with sautéed green peppers and onions.

I stopped by to grab some subs before heading to Playa Linda, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service. Everyone I encountered, from the person who took my sub order to the friendly staff behind the meat counter and the person who made my shake, was incredibly cordial and helpful. Although I didn't catch their names, their warmth and willingness to assist made my experience memorable. The ambience was clean and pleasant, enhancing my visit even more. I had to drag my "L" out, or she would've bought the entire store.

This place is good food, good vibes, with great people running it. The restaurant is also connected to a meat market and a juice bar/fruit/convenience store. We had two steak phillies and one chicken philly, all were juicy and the bread was so soft. The employees were so so nice and helpful, bringing us sides of terriyaki and anything we needed. We even went to the meat market next door and purchased some chicken florentine sausages, which were so delicious! Definitely a local family spot with great food and a lot to offer!

The Heroes Grill, 1300 South St., Titusville, FL 32780 4 Stars It seems that my random name generator has led me to yet another greasy spoon restaurant catering to the first responder and veteran community. I have nothing against them, as I was once a first responder myself. However, like everyone else, they deserve good food, which has yet to be found in such establishments (though that's about to change, but I digress). If I didn't review restaurants, I would never go to a place that prioritizes one segment of the population over another. Most of these places shamelessly try to wrap themselves in patriotism, making non-"patriots" feel ashamed. It gives off the same vibe as any hollow act of virtue signaling. The owner, Leshawn, works at the front counter. She is an exceptionally charming lady with excellent customer service skills. She deals with her patrons impeccably and is a true "people person." I asked Lovely Leshawn for a Cheesesteak with jalapenos and a Gyro burger. At this point, a toothless Titusvillian attempted to correct my proper pronunciation of Gyro (in Greek, the "G" is silent, so the word is pronounced as Yee-rrrrrro, with a rolled "r"), using the incorrect pronunciation of Gyro (as hero), and then proceeded to mock me for it. Leshawn, with the calmness of the eye of a hurricane, informed the misguided octogenarian that I did pronounce it correctly. Vindication is a beautiful feeling. Hey, I've been divorced a few times; it's not often that a woman admits I'm right. Anyway, the Cheesesteak with jalapenos was outstanding. The bread was soft, the meat was tasty and seasoned with a decoction that instantly transported my taste buds to the City of Brotherly Love. The jalapenos added just enough kick to remind me that this was not your average Cheesesteak. Finding such flavorful and authentic food this far down the Eastern Seaboard was a delightful surprise. As delightful as the Cheesesteak was on the palate, the Gyro burger fell completely and utterly flat. It was enjoyable, but lacked seasoning. The bun was soft and fresh, and the tomato and lettuce were fine. The meat was perfectly cooked, although it lacked the distinct Gyro flavor. It could have been the tzatziki sauce that was lacking, but I'm not sure. Regardless, the Big Boy says, "This place is well worth a try. The food is well-prepared and enjoyable."

Nothing fancy about the building but the food and the people are great. I have tried several different items on the menu and all were good.

We went and ordered to go as we wanted to check the place out. A pound of brisket $30 later. We did ask if they had fatty brisket and that we would get a pound. The lady went and asked if they had any. She said they did. Didn't wait very long and went about our business. Went home opened up. And I guess I shouldnt have high expectations but the brisket wasn't really fatty and it was dry. We got Carolina sauce and regular bbq. We didn't really enjoy the brisket and threw away some of the pieces because they were overly dry. Definitely won't be back and honestly, i don't understand establishments that really just sell people things that are not up to par. If you don't have the meats or it doesn't look fresh. Why would you even sell it? Like I'm pretty sure if they saw what they served us, they probably wouldn't eat it either. Also, I should've known coming in around 6/630pm I would get the bottom of the barrel meats.

On a Friday evening, however, the entire parking lot was full so it was a no-go for us. Kind of glad it turned out that way, though, because Plan B landed us on the moon, aka The Space Bar. The view from the rooftop is stunning! Really the best part of the experience. Menu prices are reasonable. The signature cocktails are fun and certainly worth trying. Food is average. Interactions with our server were awkward at times, but mostly attentive. Getting water we asked for was a challenge, though. I would definitely return. It's a cool hangout spot.

Ambiance: 9 / 10 I love a good theme, and this place fully commits. Everything is space themed, from the decor to the menu. Even the elevator ride up is part of the experience. It is designed like a rocket with a countdown playing, which was such a fun touch. Once you get upstairs, the view is incredible. You can see the Indian River, and if you happen to be there on a launch night, you get a direct view of rockets launching from Kennedy Space Center. That alone makes this place worth visiting. Service: 10 /10 I ended up joining a larger group, and anyone who has worked in a restaurant knows that can be a challenge. Our server handled it so well. I wish I had gotten her name because she was amazing. She kept up with everyone, made sure drinks and food were coming out consistently, and stayed friendly the entire time. Seriously impressive. Food: 8 /10 I ordered the meat lovers flatbread and the Causeway Cosmo. My guy got the tuna poke bowl and an old fashioned, and we also had some nachos at the table. The flatbread was really good, nice and crispy with great flavor. The poke bowl was decent. He enjoyed it, but I am a little picky with poke. The drinks were solid too, well balanced and easy to enjoy. Overall, I am really glad I checked this place out. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.
