The movie prices nowadays are ridiculous! This theater is always clean. Luckily I've never encountered a sticky floor in any of the auditoriums I've visited. Employees are friendly and lines move quickly. We purchase tickets online and pick seats. I don't really care for this new process. I miss the old days where you can just sit anywhere, then move if need be. I've encountered seat kickers behind me before and it ruined the experience. There is free street parking near the theater within Bridgeport Village. They also have a multilayer parking garage with EV chargers available for free as well. Overall I enjoy this theater and will return when meeting friends. Would recommend.

We had gone to a later showing of a movie for scream 7 and when they were closing i asked if we could get a soda refill and some extra popcorn. He did so with trying to up sel other concessions. Even after the show he was still asking if we would like to get more treats or telling us to try foods and treats for next visit. He was very kind very bubbly and he had a great personality! I could tell he wanted to be there and his enthusiasm was wonderful!! He is because I still love going to the movies, to get that interactive movie talk experience! He knew his movies and I could tell he was working where he loved. Thank you Orian and Bridgeport cinemas Sincerely Movie lover Ryan Michael Coe

The complex Covers four buildings. Two of them are for the museum, one of the buildings holds a giant screen movie theater that screens, some amazing aviation related movies, and the fourth building is an indoor waterpark, complete with a retired 747 parked on the roof. The emergency exits to the 747 are entrances to the waterslides. The primary building, where the spruce goose is located, covers aircraft from a replica of the original Wright Brothers flyer, to modern military aircraft. The secondary building, is the space, museum. It has aircraft such as the SR 71 blackbird, a model of the Apollo, lunar lander, and other space related exhibits. You can easily spend hours here. Admission is reasonable, and they offer discounts for military/veterans, seniors, youth, and local residents. Annual memberships are also available. To see the Spruce goose I highly recommend the flight deck tour. It's $25 on top of the museum admission, not cheap, but without it, all you really see is the entranceway of the plane. I took the tour, it was a 45 minute tour, it goes through the entire plane, and the docent talked about the whole history of the plane, it's different components, etc..... It was originally a prototype for a massive cargo plane, but because it was not completed by the end of WWII, there were no others made. It only flew one time, and there was a really cool recording of a reporter who was actually on the plane for that flight. It's definitely worth the visit.

Wandered around a bit more than went to the space building, which wasn't as interesting to me. Allot of Cold War history. The size of some of the rockets was amazing. And a video showing how they gradually went to various orbits to check things out before the next step was interesting. It showed that heading to the moon was really putting us in a giant elliptical orbit around earth, with a twist of orbiting around the moon, when they added that. I went back to the aircraft building and took lots of. photos with my camera (instead of iPhone) , tour guide gave me some additional info on Curtis vs Wright Bros. The flight simulator looked interesting and the whole place was almost deserted on Thursday, so he showed me how it works, another guy came over and I got to watch him use it, his first attempt he did not see hardly any planes to shoot down, so they gave another free ride and told him to follow the green arrow to find them. I left at that point. I went to the 2nd floor as the tour guide recommended that and went outside and looked at those planes outside. Several places near by had planes on their roof! Winery is building a hotel nearby. I didn't take the tour of the goose's cockpit, so I can't really add anything on that. See my collage of pictures!

Movies need to show in theaters to qualify for an Academy Awards nomination. If they were made for streaming, and they need theatrical, Salem Cinema may get them. That was the case for Kathryn Bigelow's House of Dynamite. It's a Netflix property so most people will see it on a small screen. It deserves a big screen like the Salem Cinema. The Salem Cinema is in a modern building with some vintage interior panels. It is very clean. The rest rooms are clean. The theaters have great seats and good sound. I did not hear any sound bleed between theaters. They do a good job with their vintage graphic design. Where the Salem Cinema could improve, thus the loss of a star, is to expand their food and drink options. They have a large seating area in the lobby. It was empty. There is a dedicated parking lot. Keep an eye on their schedule. You may find something new or old that is not playing elsewhere.

I went to see Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with a friend today; the movie was playing in honor of Robert Redford. As many times as I've seen this film since it first came out in 1969, seeing it again on the big screen was fabulous! Popcorn for lunch is always a treat and the popcorn here is wonderful, especially with the addition of Parmesan cheese and nutritional yeast. The staff is friendly and patient, even if one is decision-challenged when trying to decide on what to drink. Looking forward to the next time I can have popcorn for lunch!
