While the daughter, who looks over the store, is overall nice, the product they sell is TERRIBLE. There are no instructions on how to wash the outfits, so I looked it up online and people generally hand wash them with cold water to be safe, which is what we did. That was a big NOPE. Immediately, the blue dye on the outfit melted away and blended in with the gold colors, ruining it and the overall vibrance. My wife's hands were stained blue for the entire day. My granite countertops are still stained blue! We were devastated. We came back to the store and asked for a refund/exchange. They were of no help, saying, "We just sell the product. What you do it with it after is your responsibility. You should've made sure to wash it under the clothing's instructions." There were NO instructions! The store owner's daughter and I looked and could not find any; and still, she did not take back her words. This is not how you do customer service. How do you expect a customer to come back if they are left unsatisfied? Why sell products that are of one-time use and of terrible quality? Why not take some accountability? Yes, you sell the product, but you have the power to not sell terrible products and ruin the reputation of your store. Anyways, I hate being a Karen, but I hope they learn from this experience. Yes, you can go ahead and shop here, but you (and your hands) have been warned by their quality.

We talked over our floral inspiration for our reception decor, as well as trying on wedding dresses that can be bought or rented. They will alter your dress and dry clean it for you before the big day. I probably visited this shop a minimum of 10 times. I had my first dress fitting here. They had so many different dresses. I tried on at least 6 or 7 on my first fitting. I ended up going with one that I knew was the one. The rental price for it was very reasonable which came with the alteration, dry cleaning, and a veil as well. My bridesmaids and flower girl also did their fittings here as well and love the selection of dresses they had. I even got to rent a second dress for our reception so I could be more comfortable. The second dress was basically an evening gown, but the color and design is very modern and complemented most body types. I did not diet or work out for our wedding and the dress looked incredible on me. Since I am only 5'0 tall, most of the dresses had fit my height (with heels) which I am incredibly thankful for. As for the florals, we did very simple florals. Our wedding is dusty blue, cream, and a hint of gold so the Hollywood Bridal team did an amazing job putting together the bouquets, centerpieces, and the split arch for our reception entrance. The bouquets are absolutely stunning. It included the flowers I love and the exact color palette I wanted. Overall great experience with Hollywood Bridal. We appreciate getting our florals and wedding rentals from here. I received so many lovely compliments on my wedding dress as well as bridesmaids dresses. There are people guarding each section of the mall which I didn't mind but it does feel like you're being watched. Overall, it was a good experience and very lively with people and music. There is a night market that happens (I went on a Sunday night) and a lot of older people and younger people alike go outside to dance as the performers sing on stage and many vendors for street food come out. It feels like a true community is established for Vietnamese people to come together and enjoy festivities. One thing to note is the parking. There are many spots available around the market when you go further back, but if it is full, go to the plaza across from it and park there, and walk towards the mall.

The mall just felt tired and much less vibrant than I remembered. Some areas looked dated, the bathrooms were under repair during my visit, and overall the businesses didn't appear to be thriving the way I remember them. There just wasn't that same sense of activity or excitement. Of course, some of this may be nostalgia. I'm seeing the mall through adult eyes now versus remembering it through the eyes of a child. Retail has also changed tremendously over the years, so I understand that places like this have had to adapt. Still, I wish there were more investment in Phước Lộc Thọ. This isn't just another shopping center. It's an important part of Little Saigon and holds so many memories for Vietnamese and Southeast Asian families who grew up visiting Bolsa. It would be wonderful to see the property refreshed, the facilities improved, and more restaurants, food vendors, unique shops and younger businesses brought in to give it some life again while preserving its cultural identity. I don't want to see it disappear or become something completely different. I actually want the opposite--I would love to see Asian Garden Mall thrive again. I'll always have a soft spot for this place because of my childhood memories. I just wish walking through it today felt as joyful and alive as I remember it being.
