What happened to this place? For a few months after they initially opened our family of 3 visited the shop several times and didn't really mind paying the rather high prices for their ices, softserves, and cookies. The last time (yesterday) our experience was simply HORRIBLE! Everyone of the four flavors of soft serve was totally off! The so called "cotton candy" tasted like burned and bitter coffee; the "egg nog" tasted like some kind of spoiled cream, with a disgusting after taste; the order that was supposed to be strawberry flavored was actually a rather tasteless vanilla with yet again, a bitter after taste; the chocolate flavor was the closest to the named flavor, but still had a rather unpleasant after taste. The sugar cookie was the best in the order, but again, not as good as the first time we had it. I cannot believe that they could screw up soft serve flavors so badly! The service was not good either. There was one lady taking the orders and serving each customer while a very young looking man kept himself at the register paying total attention to whatever was playing on his ear pods and none to any customers around. The lady had problems understanding orders in plain English (like two SS flavors in a medium cup: resulting in two medium cups filled with one disgusting serving each!). The ambiance of the shop is lovely and inviting. A real pity that their products have gone down so much, while maintaining ridiculously high prices. We shall not return! I'm ok with eating at somewhat pretentious, snobby places; as long as they do not take their customers for fools. read more

My boyfriend and I had their versions of a flight and it comes with 6 flavors and one soft serve. The price came out to $12.36 I don't think that is too bad and the scopes are decent size. The cherry was delicious tasted like a slushee. The orange tasted like the orange Gatorade but it slushee form. The cookies and Cream was a bit off I think it was Italian ice. The horchata was also a little off but not bad. I really enjoy the peanut butter and blueberry lemonade it was so good! The soft serve strawberry taste like the nesquik strawberry powder it honestly tasted really good! Honestly was a good date idea hope to be back in the future. The homemade Italian ice here is really good. I had the orange Italian ice with vanilla soft serve. The orange ice was flavored with fresh orange juice and it was amazing. I didn't know the "rules", therefore didn't understand that the only way to get the "cream" part of Ice Creamery... is to get one part shaved ice, two parts soft serve. Lesson learned. I went in wanting ice cream. I left still wanting ice cream. I had the frozen coffee flavored water instead. Probably saved myself a lot of unnecessary calories but.... We've been going since they opened however last week my son wanted a milkshake & they didn't have the ingredients for the one he wanted. So he picked another & they didn't have that either. So we went with the root beer float which is on their menu for $12.95 when we were rang up at the register it came up $15.95. When I addressed it w/the employee she said "oh well That's what it's ringing up as" I said that's not what the price is & how many poor people have been being over charged? I wish it was a more affordable place we could go to every Friday night it's just too expensive to become a regular. The novelty of the place & cool IG pic background is what they have going for them. And the over charge had nothing to do with sales tax. read more

Finally tried this place and am in love with the soft serve! We love the banana, coffee, and chocolate/vanilla swirl. My daughter who needs dairy free loves the Moon Ice, favorite kind so far is the pear. If you want to get it to go, as we do, to get a cup with a lid you have to buy Large or Extra Large. The smaller sizes don't have lids and it is pricey, so definitely a splurge. Also they only give free samples of the Moon Ice, not the soft serve, which is a bummer if you aren't sure about a flavor (like cotton candy?). Maybe they could get some of those tiny paper cups for samples, the ones that frozen yogurt shops use. For the price you want to be sure you like it! Overall it is a great addition to Marina and we will be there often, especially on the warm days. read more

Love this place! Normally I'm not too big on ice cream shops but the ambiance of this place reeled me in. And I'm so glad it did because these ice creams are incredible. The "moon ice" is described as a cross between Italian Ice + Gelato. It's smooth, refreshing, has some lovely flavors and textures. I love the soft serve as well - I live and breathe that strawberry soft serve. All of their ice creams are not overly sweet or overbearing in flavor. But they also don't lack "personality" and leave you feeling like you were better off with a pint from a grocery store. It's a great balance and experience. The decorative cones are so lovely and taste great as well. Sometimes I don't even want to eat them because of how pretty they are. The cookies are incredible as well. My favorite is definitely the sugar cookie because of the crunch and how well it pairs with the soft serve options, not overly sweet either. I have not tried their milkshakes yet but I can easily assume they're incredible based on the moon ice + soft serves alone. Portions are pretty generous in my opinion, but not overwhelming (theres only so much ice cream you can eat at one time before you hit a wall). I've re-frozen anything I couldn't finish and the texture/flavor does not suffer from this at all. Overall this place is definitely worth stopping into. I'd almost say its criminal to not give it a try if you're in the area and crave a sweet treat. The wait is never too long and ALWAYS worth it. read more

I've been hearing about a new spot that just opened up with a cute ambience and delicious fruit freezes, so I made it a point to get here the first chance I got! My daughter and I wanted to Make sure to beat the crowd so we can take a pic in front of the flower wall we kept seeing on ig! We got there a little before noon (opening time) on Sunday (Easter) they opened a little after 12 and we were the first customers of the day! It was soooo cute, the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because the girl who was helping us was not having a good day. From the moment we told her we were excited to be there and asked questions she gave us an uninvited annoyed look, it felt uncomfortable to ask for samples, She seemed frustrated when I asked to try a sample and I didn't want to trouble her so my daughter and I just shared the sample from the little tiny spoon w between the both of us so she wouldn't have to make 2 samples! She didn't even offer to give us another spoon! My daughter felt so uncomfortable she just settled for 2 scoops of the same flavor (mango pineapple) because she didn't want to trouble the worker! I wish our experience was better and could have tried more flavors, maybe next time we will get someone with more patience and who enjoyed helping/answering our questions! Other then the person helping us, I went with a cherry and blue raspberry with vanilla ice cream and it was to die for! We got a medium and it was more then enough!!! We will def be coming back!
