I went to every retirement party Double O Dough was there makiing food for the event. The pizza was super amazing! really thin crust with good texture. I ate way more than I needed to just because I wanted to try each new flavor combo that was coming out. Really enjoyed it , super fun to hire for an event .

Spring rolls & peanut sauce ( foreground) and antipasto skewers . The skewers were a big hit!

Service was fast pace and quick they don't skimp around when it came to ordering our food. It did take a little long for waiting for our pizza to come out and be on our table. Maybe it was the timing when we went we ordered around 6:45 then came to our table at 7:30. Some stuff asides that long wait the ambiance is what you expect this place is booming and everyone sitting down and eating pizza or what you ordered. It's definitely a great spot if you're looking hungry in Monterey. Come here. But again be prepared that it might take a while for your food to come to the table.

Fair enough. We a got a table fairly quickly and requested for it to be cleaned. We then went to the counter to put in our order which was a medium house combination pizza and a small caesar salad. It was Friday night, so we knew the wait would be a bit long, and they warned us, it would be about 40 minutes. The salad came out in about 25 mins, and the pizza another 45 mins later (this means the the wait ended up being 70 mins.) The salad was standard. The pizza came hot with the perfect amount of toppings, the crust looked airy, and cheese was melted. Well, it looked alot better than it tasted. It was pretty average and the crust ended up oily and lacked flavor.

Home Slice A locally…read moreowned Italian restaurant that's been in operation in Seaside for over ten years (ca. 2015). Gusto is one of the few truly scratch-made Italian restaurants that specializes not only in pizza, pasta, and sauces, but also features an old-school brick, wood-fired pizza oven. Hell, they even make their own mozzarella! They have not only caught the eye of locals and Yelpers, but have also managed to earn a recommendation in the current Michelin Guide. The Good: * Private parking lot, as well as street parking. * Fabulous service from Alex! * Prices are very reasonable considering the food quality. * Local beers on tap. * Strawberry Prosciutto Salad (seasonal special) was fantastic! Who knew strawberries paired so perfectly with salty, cured prosciutto and pistachios? This might not be on the menu all the time, but if you see it, get it! * Complimentary focaccia was unbelievably soft and delicious. As if it couldn't get any better, their olive tapenade served alongside it was equally delicious, making for an unbeatable duo. * The Margherita pizza is the ultimate test of a pizza restaurant--and they passed with flying colors! It's so simple that if something isn't right, it'll be easy to spot, but everything from the homemade mozz to the slightly charred crust and the delicious sauce made this the perfect pie. I give it a score of 3.14159265359...! The Meh: * Meatballs were a touch too tough and could've been a bit more tender. They were still fuçking delicious, so honestly, who cares? The Ugly: * Despite the name, Seaside isn't the most glorious place, and this location is downright sus AF. Conclusion: Maybe one of the best meals so far of 2026. If you have any doubts about coming here, relieve yourself of them and get down here posthaste.

It's a cozy, family-owned business. When we arrived, there was only one woman working and doing absolutely everything--taking orders, prepping, and baking. Another person eventually came in to help her, but we honestly felt for them! Despite being understaffed, they were kind and hardworking. We were so hungry that we forgot to take photos (rookie mistake, I know), but the pizza was phenomenal. We ordered: Classic Pepperoni: Perfectly greasy and crisp. BBQ Chicken: Great tangy sauce-to-topping ratio. Curry Chicken: The standout! Super flavorful and a nice twist on traditional pizza. They do not skimp on toppings which was great. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. Honestly, for a small family shop where they're making things fresh, that's not bad at all. If you're in a massive rush, be mindful, but the quality is well worth the half-hour wait. Bottom line: Support this local business! The food is great, the people are hardworking, and it's a perfect spot to refuel.

There is informal, in-door seating but it looks more like a take out place, though the prices are more high end. The reason for my three star is that the pizza ultimately was bland and most importantly the crust was undercooked. It's a pretty thick crust and ours was doughy; I had to recook to make it more firm. There wasn't much sauce and it had no flavor. The toppings seemed fresh and it is possible their Eastern pizzas are more flavorful, so if you are looking for that you should give it a try. But if you want a more traditional Italian or 'West' pizza, there are better options.

You can tell they really care about their customers and their food. The menu had so many amazing sounding options that we couldn't decide... so we didn't, we ordered three different pizzas and I'm so glad we did! Every single one was fantastic. The Sophia was a dream if you love white sauce pizza -- creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being too heavy. The Golden State was one of the most unique pizzas I've had in the best way possible. Every bite had something interesting going on and who knew pizza and potatoes just work so well together. But the absolute star for me was the special "La Bomba." WOW. The Calabrian chili gave it the perfect kick and depth of flavor. It was bold, a little spicy, and completely addictive. I would honestly come back time and time again just for that pizza alone. They have a unique crust was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside -- and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully put together, not just thrown on a pie. The place itself has a great vibe, good service, and the staff makes the whole experience feel welcoming and fun. Whether you're dining in with friends or grabbing a pizza to go, this place checks every box: great service, creative menu, amazing flavor, and pizza you'll be thinking about long after you leave. I called, and was back to pick up our pizza we ordered in less than 10 minutes. We got our pizza, and they gave us a tiramisu for the trouble. Less than 10 minutes later, we were back to our hotel again. And this pizza was already completely cold, the cheese was hard and not melted. It seems like they just gave us the original pizza that was meant for us that they switched up and didn't make us a fresh one when we reported the mistake. The pizza was doughy(seemed raw/undone), cold... not good at all. we had even ordered it "extra crispy" when we placed the order. It was expensive too at $25 for a pizza that was like a small. The mini cheesecakes were $20... I honestly thought we were getting small personal-sized cheesecakes, but they are literally bite-sized and seemed like they were thawing still. The tiramisu was delicious at least. The person working was apologetic, but I don't think I would get this again.
