BEWARE - Unethical Bait‑and‑Switch Tactics After several…read moreconversations with this dealership about a specific vehicle, we were assured--multiple times--that the car was onsite and ready for us to see. We drove an hour based on their confirmation. Upon arrival, the salesperson greeted us, grabbed the keys, and then informed us on the way to the car that it was not the vehicle we had discussed for over a week. Instead, it was a similar model with fewer features. She asked whether this would be a deal‑breaker and said she could "work on the price." She admitted she had "made a mistake," yet continued pushing my daughter to test‑drive the car since we had already made the trip. After the test drive, she again asked if we would consider this vehicle and reiterated she could adjust the price. We decided to step away for lunch to avoid making a rushed decision. After lunch, we called back, clearly confirmed the price several times, and agreed to return to purchase the car. This was supposed to be my daughter's first new vehicle. Once back at the dealership, the salesperson had my daughter begin paperwork, including a credit inquiry. While she was filling it out, the salesperson returned with the formal proposal--which was $10,000 higher than the agreed‑upon price and even over $10,000 above MSRP. When we questioned it, she removed the paperwork and returned with a manager who did not acknowledge any mistake. Instead, he simply said, "We can discuss the price," and both insisted this inflated number was the price we had agreed to. At that point, it felt like they were calling us liars or fools. They wasted our entire day, and we left immediately. To make matters worse, they still ran my daughter's credit even though they knew we were not purchasing the vehicle. They continued calling afterward, leaving voicemails offering lower prices. When I finally answered, I politely told them we had already purchased the car elsewhere--at the original price they had agreed to. This dealership's behavior was deceptive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I strongly urge others to avoid going through what we experienced.

When I got there at 9:05, I was told that "[my] service advisor was out today. Go in and have a seat, and another advisor will get you set up." I don't know how that was possible, because I hadn't done anything to select a service advisor, or go through chat, but I did what I was asked to do. I watched people who were there before me go to the desks. I watched people who came in after me go to the desks, and at 10:15 I still hadn't even talked to a service advisor, so I told the young lady at the customer service desk that I'd been waiting for an hour without even talking to an advisor and I didn't have all day to wait. I canceled my appointment, went to the oil change place a block away, and was on my way back home in 25 minutes. I don't anticipate ever going back.

Lisa Caporali went out of her way to ensure everything was completed smoothly and that I left satisfied. Her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. She not only resolved the issue but also continued the service without hesitation, showing genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. The thoughtful gesture of offering a pass for a future car wash was the perfect finishing touch -- a small but meaningful way to show appreciation. I'm very thankful for the excellent service and kindness shown throughout my visit. I'll definitely be returning and recommending Coggin BMW to others looking for quality service and a team that truly cares about their customers.

Brand loyalty does not mean anything to both BMW Corporate nor Coggin BMW…read more We had placed an order for our 7th BMW, an X7, which would have been the 4th car ordered from Coggin BMW. When Coggin was looking over the 2022 X7 we were trading in, they drove the car and noticed a chatter coming from the X drive's transfer case. The car was 4000 miles and 4 months out of warranty. They did not want the car for a trade-in at all. After doing research we found out that X drives can develop issues to the point they need to be replaced. The transfer case is filled with oil that, per BMW, should last the lifetime of the car.. Additionally there is a Class-Action lawsuit against BMW for not being proactive and fixing the transfer case issues. Coggin BMW, knowing these X drives have issues, never even suggested to us that we should change the oil to hopefully prevent an issue. However, many BMW owners have found the oil should be changed in hopes of preventing degradation of the transfer case components We contacted BMW Corporate in NJ to make them aware of our issue and hopefully get some help (Goodwill") in paying for a new transfer case, given the car was just barely out of warranty and we were longtime BMW owners. Corporate's response was "You should have bought an extended warranty". This is clearly not how you should be treating customers, let alone loyal longtime BMW owners. BMW has lost our loyalty.

I purchased the Platinum Extended Warranty-supposedly the gold standard-and was told my reimbursement for a TPMS sensor wasn't covered because it was 'broken.' Apparently, internal failure during normal driving doesn't count unless it fits their narrative. 2/14/26||I had a very disappointing experience with Sunrise Volkswagen in Fort Pierce…read more I brought my Volkswagen Jetta in for a routine oil change and paid $156. Shortly after getting my car back, I noticed oil dripping underneath the vehicle. I returned to the dealership and was told the issue had been fixed. However, when I got home, the car was still leaking oil. I brought the vehicle back a third time and was then told that the threads on the oil pan were worn out and that the entire oil pan would need to be replaced at a cost of about $800. Not feeling confident in that diagnosis, I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion. Within minutes they discovered that the wrong washer had been used to seal the oil plug during the oil change. After installing the correct washer, the leak stopped immediately. So what I was originally told would require an $800 repair was actually the result of an incorrect part used during the oil change performed at Sunrise Volkswagen. I expect better attention to detail and accountability from a dealership service department. Unfortunately, this experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and could have led to an expensive repair that wasn't needed.

Unacceptable Service and Total Lack of Concern We have been…read moreloyal Acura customers for over 10 years and have leased or purchased more than eight vehicles with the brand, but our experience with Coggin Acura Services has been an absolute nightmare. We are almost two years into a lease on a 2025 Acura with about 30,000 miles, and we have had to bring it in for service ten different times . The starter has failed and been replaced three times, the battery was replaced, the AC recently had to be worked on , the rear seatbelt sensors malfunction , and the radio constantly cuts in and out on resulting in loss of GPS functions during road trips. Most dangerously, my kids and I have been left stranded at traffic lights and stranded in a parking lot when the started on/off feature malfunctions and the car decides to not turn on. Every single time we bring the car in, the service department just patches the issue and sends us on our way, only for the exact same problems to return a few months later. When we finally sought real help, or so we thought the General Manager Melvin B. completely dismissed our safety concerns. We were essentially told to go elsewhere if we are unhappy with the sevice dept at Coggin or start a new lease and get rid of this car--requiring us to pay out-of-pocket for a vehicle default we didn't cause. We feel completely helpless, unsafe, and uncared for. Coggin Acura has completely destroyed our trust and confidence in this luxury brand. . We hope Acura/Honda Corporate steps in to rectify this, because this dealership's management and customer service are completely unacceptable.
