I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough to warrant one. What I encountered at Viking Automotive in Vero Beach was not just disappointing--it was dishonest and unprofessional. From the beginning, basic expectations weren't met. Communication was slow or nonexistent, and when I did get answers, they were dismissive rather than helpful. I took my 2007 BMW Z4 3.0i E85 in for a straightforward diagnostic: rough cold start, a tire sensor issue, and a few mechanical noises. I was told it would take a couple of hours, which I was more than willing to pay for--especially if it meant getting a thorough, accurate assessment by their only BMW Mechanic! Instead, after about an hour, I found my car already sitting back in the lot with no phone call it was ready or an update. I was then told that nothing had been done beyond checking the oil, and that the engine was essentially "breaking down" due to supposed metal shavings and large debris in the oil filter. No one showed me the filter at the time. No one explained the findings clearly. I never even spoke directly to the mechanic. The written report was filled with vague language, like "possibly this" and "possibly that," which is not a diagnosis--it's guesswork. Despite claiming photos were taken, none were provided so I had to call and request them. Once I received the photos, I see this in the Subject of the email: * INSPECTION RESULTS FOR YOUR 2007 BMW Z4 ROADSTER* "3.0si" I Told them my Bimmer was a 3.0i ... did I receive another 2007 BMW owners diagnostic report?! And it's THEIR oil filter and diagnostic I received?!?! Are they THAT Unorganized & Incompetent? What's worse is what came next. After spending days stressed, believing my engine was failing, I had the car inspected by an independent mechanic. He reviewed the same photos and immediately identified what Viking called "metal" as air bubbles. When he physically inspected the car, he confirmed there were zero metal shavings or plastic debris in the oil filter--just bubbles. He also explained why the filter had collapsed, which was supposed to have been changed by a previous mechanic in Fort Pierce (obviously didn't change the filter, did they even change the oil)? After a cold start, changed AND filter, put in an additive all of which has quieted the tapping to ticking (intrinsic of the N52 per BMW) and improving. He then took my car for a drive afterward and stated my Bimmer has a strong engine! So now I'm left with a simple conclusion: either the Viking BMW mechanic, Colton, lacks the basic competence to distinguish between metal debris and air bubbles, or they knowingly misrepresented the condition of my engine, plus exaggerated damage, or diagnosed another BMW and sent me photos of another owner's Oil Filter, or simply LIED! None of which is acceptable. Kathy refused to do any other diagnoses as requested, nor will she do any repairs, and couldn't explain in-depth the diagnoses I needed explained. (She's a mechanic too??). The only person that should be explaining the diagnoses is THE Mechanic him or herself and Show ME the Filter! If they didn't want to work on an older BMW, they should have said so. Instead, they chose to provide a rushed, incomplete, and ultimately misleading assessment that caused unnecessary stress, wasted my time and money. Time IS Money! I would have gladly paid for a full, proper diagnostic and on MY CAR, Not someone elses. Instead, I paid for an hour of speculation and left with a completely inaccurate conclusion about MY vehicle's condition. I cannot recommend Viking Automotive to anyone looking for honesty, reliability, or professional integrity. There are far better options out there that actually value their customers, appreciate drivers that love their vehicle, and not only Do the Work, but stand behind it! read more

This is the best auto motive company in the country Andreeas is the most thoughtful and knowledgeable person when it comes to any car ever invented. I Had some bumps in the road for over auto service places my barber who loves cars recommended Viking called to office nicest staff they treated me like a vip took my 2000 Porsche Boxter longest thing I have ever owned in my life had some roof issues. Andreeas came out to meet me he was like a surgeon figuring out what no one else that does high performance cars in Vero could. Working with Mark his parts guy who has the voice of a DJ but lucky for me decided to be and expert on finding parts he was like a Navy Seal and found the part no one had for my roof, Get a call form the superstar owner and they set up appointment. I needed a new water hose as my radiator was leaking badly. The woman who attends desk and answers the phone is very professional polite and direct. Mechanic also had great Communication skills talking to me two or three times throughout process informing and educating and set expectations, which were all met. Prices seemed right and no more radiator leaks! I took it here 6 weeks ago. Repairs took only two business days. I am very satisfied with my entire experience at Viking in Vero! read more

2015Acura with over 139K miles. Car has been babied and only at a dealer for routine Maintenance since we bought new. Moved to Vero this past summer. Did use the dealer in Stuart, Florida in September. Viking is less than 5 miles and specialize in Foreign cars service. I decided to give them a try. Owner came out to speak to me as I have a leg issue presently. Very direct and came off as honest. They performed my service that was needed and some other things car was due to have. Price was very fair, service and inspections were spot on. We will return they are a true oasis in area where service is something we have had to look hard for on many products. read more

The other day I had my dad's car since he was recovering from a heart attack. The lights came on the dashboard indicating he had low tire pressure so I called them and asked if they could do a tire pressure check since I couldn't find a tire pressure checker thing in his car. They said they would check his tires for no cost which I was very grateful for I then also asked them if they could check his brake fluid since I felt like a couple times, my foot had almost gone to the floor when putting on the brakes. The woman at the front desk said the mechanics would be coming in from lunch so it might take a few minutes which was understandable. The tech came back and said the tires were fine. BUT..... here's where it gets strange. He told me the only way to check the brake fluid was to put it up on the lift and they didn't have time for that, I had never heard of that, so I took his word for it. But I'll be honest when I got home, I called the Cadillac dealership gave them the year of my dad's car and asked if this was correct. He said on the newer Cadillacs. Yes, this is correct but for my dad's year, it was not correct it could've been checked. I understand people are busy. I understand I was a walk in, all she had to do was say we don't have time, and I would've completely understood.. But don't lie to me. I was a potential new customer there for my own car, but I will not go back. Once I checked the dealership and found out that it could've been done and the guy lied instead of just telling me the truth what would they lie to me about if I took my own car there? I'm sure that people have had good experiences there and I appreciate what they did with the tire, but it makes all the difference in the world when someone lies to me. Ken in the service department knows his stuff, he is a big fan of Audi, VW and Volvo, and is always messing around with his own cars. . He is willing to talk to you, personally or over the phone, with thoughts on what needs to be done. Parts used are Genuine Factory Parts. Best service around, and not just the "work done on the car" kind of service: Don and Brian are willing to pick up and drop off customers, work with your schedule, advise, etc etc. You wont find a better group of people to work with. The experience at this store/shop gave me a totally new regard for repair shops. Not only did they save me almost $1000 from a previous estimate, they did a wonderful job. Unexpectedly I told them I also was told I needed new ball joints. Mark showed me on the computer screen how ball joints for a Volvo are quite a bit different from other cars. Our Volvo station wagon broke an unusual component (coil spring/suspension part) while on vacation in Vero Beach (1,000 miles from home). Called this facility and the service writer immediately started a search for the part which had to be shipped in from out of town, and we were all fixed up 3 days faster than promised. They assisted us with finding a car rental place near by and drove us over there. Can't say enough about the professional service here and quality work. Also fixed some quirky flashing dash bulb problems that had plagued us for a year! The owner Ben and his staff were excellent. The cost was significantly less than the Volvo dealership back home in MD. Highly recommend this facility! read more
