No help. Turned around at window. Hardly glanced at document, did not offer help, on what was needed. More or less, "You figure it out "

This place sucks solely because the ladies that work here apparently don't know how to ask "have you been helped"

Oklahoma Department of Public Safety - Good luck getting someone to answer here. On hold for an hour and 20 minutes and still nobody answered. Completely ridiculous.

Please take notes from Indiana. We went to this location after having a horrific experience at the location off I-240. Avoid the pain and don't go to that one, but this one instead. We were at the counter within 25 minutes of getting our tickets at the door. The girls were sarcastic, which I very much enjoy. My husband walked up after the other agent's client walked away and the four of us had a pleasant transaction. It was pretty quick and painless. We then sat down for a couple of minutes before being called up to pay. There was a computer issue that slowed down that process, but she was very pleasant as well. I will definitely go back to that location if I have to make another trip to the license branch.

I was on hold for FOUR hours and once someone answer was told I should have push 2 instead of 1 for the information I was seeking. Instead of transferring me I had to call back and select 2. Right now I have been on hold now for THREE hours and they are about to closed. I have moved back to Texas so no way I can go to the office in person and take another day off from work for nothing. This is so so unprofessional to be an government office. Wish I didn't have to give any stars because they do not deserve that. As an veteran of the US Army this office really make the State looks bad. If I knew who was over it I would call them, but no one would answer. SHUT IT DOWN. So sorry! Wait time is 3 hours in a small room packed with narrow, uncomfortable chairs. No television playing news, no elevator music overhead. Just mind-numbing silence with all of the other cattle. The guy that came in to tell everyone that they'd have to get new numbers, since their system was down, was pretty crappy. Very bossy and sarcastic. He either really hates his job, or he was picked on in school. The inefficiency is almost indescribable, but I'll give it a go. We got there at 7:00 AM this morning. There was already a sign on the (down) kiosk that said there would be a 6-hour wait. I found that hard to believe. I mean, I've sat in the DPS waiting room before, but am normally out in a couple of hours. Nope, these guys were almost spot on. 5 1/2 hours later, we got called and taken care of. Out of 5 windows, there were only 2-3 being worked (mostly 2). The "bossy/sarcastic guy" even laughed when someone joked about the long wait. He said that it didn't bother him at all, but couldn't say the same for everyone having to wait. I was able to use this experience to teach my oldest son about how freaking incompetent and inefficient government-run entities are. They have a monopoly on licensing, can treat people like crap if they choose, and can take their own sweet time. If you've been there all day, and it gets to be their closing time, they're happy to tell you that you can come back the following morning and try again. The only way around this is to pay them to reserve an appointment, which is 3-4 weeks out at the earliest. Let me get this straight.....you have to PAY them, on top of what you already pay them with your tax dollars, to reserve a spot. How about hiring more people? How about reviewing the existing processes (clearly broken)? While these complaints tend to be the norm for most DPS/DMV offices, add in the "Edmond attitude" (everyone outside of Edmond knows what I'm talking about) to this place, and you've got the perfect combination for a miserable day. Your tax dollars at work!

My son told me Oklahoma doesn't have DMV offices and you have to go to a Tag Agency. I have to say this was so much better than the horrible DMV offices in Nevada. You have to have an appointment like 3 months in advance if you can get one. Before the pandemic you could just walk-in , but you would be there for hours trying to get something done with all the California people moving there and some from other places. This was so much better of an experience ! Everyone was so nice as most of the people I've dealt with in Oklahoma. It reminds me of the small town I grew up in South Carolina in the 70's and 80's. I had to do 2 different lines. The first was a young lady who did my registration , plate , and sticker. She also informed me that I would have to get a new title to register in Oklahoma. I've never heard that before , but I guess they do that in some states. She also went out to my SUV to verify the VIN. Thankfully it's not lifted since she could barely get up to see it without getting on the tire , it is a Toyota FJ Cruiser 4x4 so it does sit higher than most standard SUVs. The 2nd line I showed all my documentation to this lady to verify I had everything to get my new Oklahoma Drivers License. She arranged everything neatly to give to the another lady when it was my turn and also reminded me to let her know that I had Motorcycle Endorsement also so it could be listed on my Oklahoma License. There were a few people ahead of me for the Drivers License so I did have to wait over an hour , but they had chairs and the lady would talk to me and the others waiting as she was helping someone else. I only had to wait behind one person for the registration and they had 3 people working that counter. The drivers license lady also added my Veterans Status and Real ID on my license since I brought in my Passport . I'm not complaining , as I said in Las Vegas it would take you usually 3 hours or more at the DMV before they started doing appointments and still it takes at least an hour to do your stuff. I highly recommend this location for your drivers license , registration , etc.
