The owner is very well known for putting last minute, unplanned dishes together. He had very successful businesses in York, but due to the pandemic, two of them closed. He has since reopened a new business in the same location he had a taco place. (Of course, more than just tacos.) I was really bummed when that closed, but so happy he reopened into something new. The burgers are top notch. They are really good quality. Everything is fresh and made to order. We had a couple of his "off the menu" burgers and they did not disappoint. We also had a burger from the regular menu. I saw a FB post recently stating he created a Mexican dish that was being offered that day. Seriously, take it day by day and never go in with an expectation of what you "think" you will be ordering. He's full of surprises and we have never been disappointed with any dishes at any of his many business locations. read more

Everything this owner touches is gold. We all had great meals--for me the Thai chicken sandwich is a winner but it's the sweet potato fries with curry aioli I'll dream of at night. Good price point, good hot dogs, there was much raving about the Brussels sprouts. (Did they save me any?! No!!) I'll be going back for the brisket. Great addition to York--much needed. read more

This review is simple. The burger here is outstanding!!! Got the double. Girlfriend got the chicken sandwich. We split small order of fries and a small cup of Mac n Cheese. Everything was amazing! If there was one minor note, the "crispy fries" weren't really all that crispy...still good...just not crispy. Would come back here anytime I am close. Felt like our total bill with two sodas came in under $40 in this day and age it was very pleasant news for an excellent meal! read more

This place thought of it all every topping was amazing quality. We got the moose burger and the blue moon burger! I highly recommend both! The fries were (MUAH) chefs kiss! Way over priced and way way over salted. The burger size has increased so you no longer are forced to purchase a double for an upcharge. That being said the rest has gone down hill. Food was so salted it was barely edible. One of the simplest things, and most important things, to teach young kitchen staff is proper seasoning. However, from trying, burger, chicken sandwich, fries, and a frie special that came with a form of un-tender pulled pork, the taste that was most prevalent in the array of flavors would be SALT. Very disappointing, not my first time eating here, but for my wife she said it will be her first and last. This place is a hidden gem for sure. The name is misleading as they serve much more than burgers. I had the carne asada bowl and it was excellent, the meat was well portioned and tender, best rice and beans I ever had. I love their hot dogs , All the buns are crispy toasted . My husband says the ground beef is very high quality and tasty. I always look for the special. Last time I had Lamb tacos, they were very good. Everything I have eaten here taste like they have put a lot of work into. Even in the height of tourist season the prices are very reasonable. It was awesome! Just maybe, the best burger I have ever tasted (I am 51 years old). I plan on taking my 12 year old there in the next couple of days as she is the self proclaimed "Queen of Burgers". Stopped in on our drive from Maine to CT when we were looking for something other than fast food. WOW! My husband and I have been to a lot of great restaurants (live in Milwaukee and spent a decade in Chicago) and this is easily one of the best burgers we've ever had. Both the interior and exterior are unassuming, low key with no frills, so we weren't entirely sure what to expect. So happy to have stumbled upon this GEM! They also have a great selection of local craft beers. Great burgers with fresh, chef-inspired ingredients. Rare to get this kind of elevated flavors and craft ingredients at a casual burger and chicken counter service place. But Moose Burger pulls it off. Fav is The Moose burger (beef not moose) with cheese bacon and a sweet onion relish and mustard aioli. Looking at the menu I settled on not a burger but a crispy chicken ranch sandwich and fries. Locally bottled root beer, too. We ate either a late lunch or a very early dinner...very good meal.
