Went out with co workers for lunch to Mooyah. I had no expectations and I didn't feel like getting a hamburger so I opted in for chicken tenders. I asked how big "personal" fries might be and they told me it's enough for 1 person. So, I got that as well. The order took a bit longer than expected. I seriously thought at one point they lost my order. When it came out I had to eat fast since everyone was almost done with theirs. But the tenders were super juicy and the fries were d-e-li-cious. I mean delicious. Yes, I love fries but because I do I am picky with my fries. Next time I will get "sharable" for me and only for me. The only thing I got to say is please go easy on the salt. I can't say how amazing this crew is. Not only are these the best faster food burgers I've ever had, but the people that work here are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure your food is handled with care. See, I have Celiacs disease (an extreme gluten allergy) and MOOYAH has the ability to accommodate my needs... including Gluten Free Buns!!!!! Best buns I've ever I had!!!! So good I want to know the brand so I can buy some! Of course, there is always the potential for cross contamination, but I have not experienced any of my allergy outbreaks. Other restaurants often have workers that roll their eyes, scoff or whisper to each other about how frustrating it is that they have to clean surfaces or get mad when I ask if I can get toppings from "never been touched" supplies. Some places even get mad when I ask if they can please change their gloves. But not MOOYAH!! They are as careful as possible to not allow bread/crumbs to touch my food. They go above and beyond! There are very few faster food places that I can actually enjoy, ESPECIALLY WITH GLUTEN-FREE BREAD!!! Lately I've been craving burgers almost on the weekly and so it was time for me to try Mooyah which has been bookmarked for quite a while. I got a build your own 1/4 burger ($4.99) with American cheese (+$1), sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions, and onion strings which was a nice touch. For the sauce I chose the mooyah sauce which I thought reminded me of thousand island, but maybe not. I couldn't put my finger on it but it's was good anyway. Something that really stood out was the patty which was not super put together. It reminded me of corned beef hash in form, but had the taste of a typical Neff party. The size of the burger was pretty standard, not too small or too big. I also got a large Oreo milkshake ($5) that was pretty darn good. It was thick, smooth, and creamy with plenty of cookie bits. The burgers are pretty good, though I don't think I would go out of my way to eat here. Everything about the food was good though typical and unsurprising. My entire order was served without my adjustments and when I received my receipt and meal, it turned out, the server (Dayana) hadn't implemented any of my requested adjustments to my order whatsoever. My mom asked me to meet her for lunch today and I found this place close to her work. It was PACKED inside (always a good sign). After looking over the menu we decided to do the build your own burgers. My mom is a vegetarian and they had a black bean burger that she could eat. You pick your patty, bun, cheese, toppings, and sauces. Super easy and I love the customization. We also added a "personal" size order of sweet potato fries. (Btw the personal is more than enough for 2 people). You can also order half sweet potato and half regular fries. It took about 10 min to get our food which was great considering how many people were there. The burger itself was delicious. The meat was well seasoned and you can tell very fresh as were the toppings. My mom said the black bean burger was also flavorful. The fries were fresh out of the fryer and super crispy. Our whole meal came out to $20 which was reasonable for 2 big burgers, fries and a drink. Overall I would give this place a 10/10. My husband and I shared large fries last visit and it was way too much so we decided to get medium fries today and holy cow, they give you a huge portion! A little more pricey than what you would get from In'n'Out or other establishments. HOWEVER, the burgers you get are fresher, made to order and the fries are amazingly seasoned and perfectly fried. Both the Mooyah and BBQ sauces were pedestrian and the Mooyah sauce is the "standard" secret sauce for most burger joints ... a derivative of 1000 Islands dressing. I believe the meal set my stepchildren back about $13.00 per person with three members of the group getting upgrades to shakes. In my experience, this is a typical price point for a good burger joint these days. The main issue with a return would be the fries, just not a fan of their version and the wife is not down with sweet potato fries either. Mooyah's burger concept reminds me of a mix of Smashburger, the Habit, and the Counter. I've never been to Five Guys but people also draw comparisons as well. You can choose white or wheat housemade buns and unlimited toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, grilled onions, Mooyah sauce, pickles, cheese, etc. They serve 3 sizes of fresh cut fries (regular or sweet potato), and cut them fresh in-house. We shared a small size which was adequate for two people. They only fry them once so they can either be crispy or soggy when you get them. Ours were decent but not spectacular. I noticed that they pre-cut and stack the potatoes in the baskets waiting for an order. They also serve turkey burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, salads, and chicken tenders. I ordered a double stack Mooyah burger with white bun, pepper jack cheese, tomato, jalapenos, lettuce, grilled onions, and ketchup. I also ordered a beverage and the sodas are self-serve. My total was a little under $13. My friend shared the fries with me but she ordered a shake too. You order at the register and a server will bring out your food. For most burger connoisseurs, meat to bun ratio is important and I found that the double had the right ratio in proportion of meat to bun. The white bun was nice and soft but toasted which is what I enjoy. I really enjoy buns that aren't stale and these were fantastic. The meat was juicy and the cheese was perfectly melted. I really enjoyed my burger and ate the entire thing. The fries were just okay in my opinion. The sodas they have are the standard Coke variety but I did like that they had unsweetened tea and cherry Coke. My friend enjoyed her mint chocolate chip shake.
