Moradi Studio is the best and only place to get a haircut if you have curly hair! My mom has been going to Moradi Studio for years and always raves about Ali and Liliana. She convinced me to get a haircut from Ali after she got sick of my complaining about my long, curly, tangly, frizzy hair. I have gotten haircuts from Ali before, but was too scared to cut off any further than an inch because I have always been warned that short, curly hair will not be flattering for me. When I go to other hair salons, the hairdressers always look flabbergasted because they are completely clueless about how to deal with curly hair. When I got to Moradi Studio, I wasn't even sure of what I exactly wanted. I just knew I wanted shorter hair that would be low maintenance, less frizzy, quick and easy to style and of course cute! I recently moved to America from Japan and I wanted to have a cool new haircut with highlights. My friend's mom told me about Moradi Studio and told me that Ali is a really good hairstylist . I was super nervous about getting highlights in my hair because I didn't want my hair to get damaged and I wanted it to look cute. When I told Ali how I wanted symmetrical highlights on both sides of my hair Ali suggested that I get highlights that were asymmetrical otherwise my haircut would look unbalanced or it would like I had two horns. When I saw my new haircut I was very very happy! My haircut was awesome! It was cute and trendy and exactly what I wanted and more! Best of all my hair was not damaged and still looks healthy today. I recently saw a girl who had symmetrical highlights in her hair and just like Ali had explained her haircut looked "unbalanced." Ali knows a lot about hair and is very nice and friendly. Yes---5 stars. I came to try Lilianna maybe a year ago by a recommendation from a friend. I was amazed at the hour and a half facial/massage. I thought she lost track of the time and I kept my mouth shut to not stop the overtime. Then I found out it was only $70. I had been going to Pasadena for a one hour facial with lightweight massage and it cost over $100. I received a thorough and complete facial, extractions, massage and lessons on skin care. Lilianna is European trained and starts by emptying the lymph glands along the side of the neck. Her explanation made sense and just might catch on in this country eventually. My only complaint is the studio is on Wilshire and 17th and I live in Silver Lake. The traffic on the 10 and the 405 is miserable. I have had 2 sessions with Lilianna and have set up my third for next month. Traffic or no traffic, when you find something this good you'll go to any lengths. read more

I have been seeing Lilianna for about 10 years for facials and she is the BEST!!! I tried to find a facialist closer to my home on the eastside of town but have not been successful. You cannot beat the facials that Lilianna gives. Getting one of her facials is the way I treat myself. Her facials last 1 1/2 hours, which includes a massage of the head and neck as well as the face. She is cutting edge in her knowledge. I have a difficult time leaving after the 1 1/2 hours is up! ALSO, Lilianna is the kindest person you ever met. Her facials reflect that. She can feel if you have had a rough day or not or not feeling well, and she tailors her service according to your mental, emotional and physical needs. I have been going to Ali for some years and never knew there was a place to give a review!!! How dumb is that?! I don't even know how to say it all. Ali is just Ali, which means he is - talented talented talented - 3 times for emphasis. He just looks at you and knows what is right for you. He is a gifted individual in so many aspects, but where working with hair is concerned he is nothing short of outstanding. Not only that, he is warm and kind and compassionate. He is a friend. He is actually also a therapist! lol I tell Ali all my problems while he is doing my hair and he listens and always has such kind and thoughtful and useful advice. You guys!!! This is a hidden gem, he's a true haircut and hair color genius. I've been seeing him for atleast 7 years now. I have been coming to Ali Moradi at Moradi Studio for more than ten years. When I lived in Manhattan, I waited to come to LA to get my hair cut. Now, I live overseas and book my haircuts in advance for whenever I'm in LA. I do not use product in my hair and I do not blow it dry.
