Great and friendly service. I had to get my son's car smogged and the battery was dead as he is out of the area and not driving the car. I was concerned the computer reset and I would have to put a 100 miles on the car to smog it. I called Moraga smog and he said come on down and he'll put it on the computer to see if the cars computer reset. I got delayed and showed up 10 minutes prior to closing time expecting him to only confirm the status of the computer with every expectation I would come back later to get it smogged. I had a great experience here! I pulled up at 10:50am today (Saturday) and there was no line. Jose greeted me and had me fill out the contact info portion of an invoice. The original quoted price was $68.10, when I used the yelp check-in discount the final price was $48.20. The smog check took less than 10 minutes. The whole process was incredibly quick and easy. Jose was so polite and provided great customer service. I will definitely bring my car back next year for a smog check and recommend this location to anyone in need of a smog check. read more

Fast, cheap, and great service... Usually you only get to pick 2 of the 3 with your service vendors but in Jose's case, you get all of them. I called and was able to get a same day appointment for my minivan. The test was very fast, I was done in 10-15 minutes or so. Jose, who is now the owner, gave me a discount so he either matched or beat the other guys' I called in Lamorinda. I went with him because he's close and the appointment was convenient. But the fast courteous service will have me returning the next time I need a smog check. At the time they were not yet STAR certified, so I had to take an older car somewhere else, but otherwise I would have taken it there too. Jose told me they have already applied for certification, so by the time you read this they may already have it. When you call for an appointment, ask them just to be sure. read more

I wanted to support this local business even though I could take my car to Berkeley for half of the charge. Since my car was not driven for a while, smog test failed and I was told that I will have to drive it for at least 100 miles to reset all instruments. Nice friendly service, but I was disappointed to find out that this place charges the full amount for retest, even though most other competitors do not charge for retest. read more

This is by far the best place to take your car for a smog check if you live in the Lamorinda or surrounding area. Jose is knowledgable, honest, and very friendly. I've been taking my cars to him for years and like his current location (this was a prior location for him too) much better than the last location. He does have coupons often in the mail.
