I came here based on a few family recommendations. I was a little adamant only because I'm very picky with my car. I currently own a VW that has almost 180k miles on it. My transmission had started slipping in 4th and 5th gear, which made it extremely difficult to drive in automatic, so in the intern I drove my car in the manual option. It worked for a while but at times I would slip gears on the freeway and it became unresponsive when trying to shift gears to catch again. Long story short, I came here based on family recommendation, dealer wanted 10k to put a new transmission in. AAMCO wanted to charge 6k. I was quoted 2.8k for the transmission work to be done. My vacuum pump had been leaking for years so I asked about that. Dealer wanted to charge 2k and Jose charged me only 500. Not bad at all! I took a gamble and let his team do the work... I usually do my own work but obviously I can't do a transmission... unless I have the right equipment. Now my car runs phenomenal! I didn't realize how worn out my transmission was. Granted this "new" transmission is used, it was certified and warrantied so it was rebuilt. Sounds new to me! Car runs amazing and my brakes are more responsive after the vacuum pump change. He is very reasonable and very humble. He has a great team of mechanics who do an excellent job at what they have a talent in. They are ASE certified too if anyone wants to know. Great company and the owner treated me like family right away - super down to earth and honest people. I came here last week because my car was overheating and the A/C stopped working, turns out my radiator needed to be replaced. The owner told me I could come in the same day I called (monday) and called me that afternoon - about 2-3 hours later - with the issue and honest pricing upfront. I was able to pick up my car the next day and everything was fixed! He even showed me photos and videos of the process and that was something no other mechanic has ever done for me. He told me some other small issues I needed fixing (like my light was out) and wasn't pressuring about it at all. =BUYER BEWARE= I feel like I got totally scammed. I have a 2015 Kia Optima with 76,000 miles. I did the oil changes every 4,000 miles using synthetic oil. I brought my vehicle in to get a simple coolant flush done and nothing else. They returned my vehicle with a flashing check engine light on (severe damages when flashing) and were stating that the check engine light was already on when I brought it in -- which it was not. I tried to turn on my car this morning and I come to find out that my motor is now seized and will require a engine replacement which will cost thousands and the business owner refuses to do anything about it. I brought my truck in this past year as well for a wheel bearing replacement, that is also now damaged as well as it is making severe sounds every time I drive. read more

I had repairs done there 19 months ago to change my gaskets on my truck along with a list of other things. My oil pan gasket is now leaking and they refuse to fix it. They told me 1 year or 12,000 miles. If this was done right I should not have to have it replaced after 19 months!!!. The estimate they gave me we called auto zone and they were over changing me for all the gaskets when they have a combo pack for 40.00. They had it itemized for each on over $200.00. He said he didn't have to drain the oil to replace the seal because he plugged the hole with his finger... all while changing the ring and not getting oil everywhere? BS read more

I've used Yelp for years and this is my very first review. Jose was an absolute pleasure to work with. From a previous diagnosis, I went in thinking I needed a new starter. Jose checked to see what the problem was with my starter. He was so honest and kind in taking his time to explain to me that my starter seemed absolutely fine and that my problem may be something else. He didn't want me to spend my money on a procedure I didn't need. Jose was very genuine in wanting the best for me and my car. This place use to be honest and reputable, oh how time changes people. Jose Morales use to be an honest, fair mechanic but now when he profiles you as a person that doesn't know anything concerning car repairs he'll inflate the prices on simple repairs such as charging $480 to install a $19 thermostat while insulting your intelligence by explaining how coolant controls the flow of gasoline to your engine when infact the thermostat was never an issue, then have the gall to charge you $95 for an diagnostic that's also fabricated with fake unessesary codes just to say they worked on your vehicle. My thing is this, if you don't want to do the work, don't try to make a quick buck off of your customers because of being lazy of the task at hand. Beware of this place and if your engine check light is on MAKE SURE JOSE DOESN'T CLEAR IT WITH THE SCANNER CLAIMING HE FIXED YOUR CAR. I just found my new mechanic/auto shop. Joe is really good at explaining what's going on with the vehicle, explores all options, and will explain how you can fix common and simple issues yourself if you wish to save a little money. They do not charge for every single thing like how most businesses are now days. I brought in my truck, a few guys looked at my truck, did a few basic things to get me back on the road and didn't charge me. I can't tell you enough what great guys they are here at Morales Auto. I took my car in because the brakes needed work in addition to some other things. It seems I may have neglected my car a bit. These guys took a look at my car and gave me an honest estimation of the scope of work and even told me that I shouldn't bother with the more expensive fixes because of the shape of the car. They did what they could to keep my little car working for Me until I could get another while not gouging me for every last dime. Everyone at Morales Autocare is friendly and easy to approach. Jose was honest and friendly when I first approached him about bringing in my truck for repairs. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it but was almost certain it was the fuel pump. Upon inspection it turned out to be a much more simple fix and I ended up not having to pay as much as I had planned. Which is always a good day in my book. Joe kept me informed of the progress on my truck, and was very friendly when I called to check in. Turn around time is great. All repairs took less than a day. DO NOT COME HERE . They are fraud !!! Took my car there for brake change and fix a noise under my tire . Other than that my car ran perfectly. When they quoted me $1300 just for those simple fixes I said no. And was still going to pay the $90 for the diagnostic. When picking up my car it was way messed up than before ! The motor was loose and the engine was shaking! And it was NOT doing any of that before I dropped off, it couldn't even be driven anymore at that point which was crazy because I was able to drive it there but not back ??They refused to fix it and lied. They are scammers! They wanted me to think there was so much other stuff wrong so that I would have no choice but to pay the 1300 ! Once they seen we weren't falling for their trucks they decided to fix the motor back ! Smh . read more

I want to send out a huge thank you to the entire staff at Morales Auto Care. My son was in Sacramento visiting a friend when he realized he had a rear main seal leak on his 1991 Jeep Wrangler. Being very mechanical and having done this on his previous Jeep he started the work on Sunday and quickly realized he could not get the oil pan off. I live in Socal and based on great Yelp and Google reviews I called Morales Auto Care to leave a message and hope they would call me back right away Monday morning as my son had to be at work Tuesday morning. To my surprise the owner answered the phone (they were closed) and told me to have my son get it in first thing the next morning. We got it in and they were gracious enough to use the Napa parts that my son purchased saving him some money. By 11:30 they were finished and had already test driven the Jeep. Morales Auto Care was professional and fair and helped to prevent a guaranteed disastrous situation. Thank you for taking care of my son and not taking advantage of the situation. I brought my car in to have the front breaks checked after our dealership recommended full service be done on front and rear, which we only did the rear. I brought my car in to Morales Auto to inspect the front breaks and they were just fine. Break pads were barely worn. They didn't even charge for the inspection. They run an honest business and I'll be bringing them my cars for all of their services in the future. read more
