This shop does not deserve 1 star…read more In April 2016, I took my transmission to Allstate drive shaft to do a full rebuild, Joel quoted $1150, I agreed and he had it ready about 2 weeks later, I guess he didn't rush! He charges my almost $1300, after calling a few times he refunds the difference reluctantly! Three weeks later the tranny started to not shift into overdrive and we brought it back, Joel was rude and said nothing was wrong and sent us on our way. I return a few weeks later and Joel tells me does not have a worker and to come back in a few weeks, not happy but what could we do? It was under warranty and so he had to fix it. Two weeks later I return and he again claims nothing is wrong, I go with him to test drive and he feels the issue. He said he was going on vacation and again bring it back in 2 weeks! He tells me to continue driving it as it won't do anymore damage! One day later, it stops shifting altogether! Two weeks later, July 5, 2016 , we bring it back, he says he is not going to fix or refund my money. Luckily, I paid with my credit card and my bank issued me a refund the same day. I later find out this shop does this to many people in the area, so please DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ALLSTATE DRIVESHAFT. The bureau of automotive is investigating this incident. Beware of this shop, This shop knows how to work Yelp and gets negative items removed, must be nice!
