I have a great experience with Dr Suchov and his staff, specially Deborah who became a friend. I've done OBaloon procedure. The team knows what and where to do with each client, depending on individual needs. They are busy! I knew it in the beginning, so It was on my side to be flexible for the schedule. I get great care, and I mean it. Deborah was open 24/7 for any questions and advices. Doctor Suchov is professional who doesn't sell but works with knowledge and principles of Hippocratic Oath. If you value your health and timely medical care, I would strongly encourage you to carefully consider your options before choosing this office. I am extremely disappointed with the care I have received from this office. I have been dealing with ongoing abdominal pain, nausea, and bowel issues for a long time. I have visited the emergency room multiple times, and my medical records clearly document my condition. Despite this, I feel that my concerns have not been taken seriously. I have never been seen by a physician in this office. Every appointment has been with a nurse practitioner, even though my symptoms have continued and I have repeatedly requested specialist care. My medication was not prescribed on time, and I was forced to obtain it myself. I have also been waiting for more than a year for an endoscopy and colonoscopy while continuing to experience daily pain, nausea, fatigue, and abdominal discomfort. My telephone appointment was canceled even though the office called me late. Instead of resolving the issue, my appointment was simply rescheduled. Patients with serious and ongoing health concerns deserve timely care, follow-up, access to specialists, and direct evaluation by a physician when necessary. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This is not a doctor's office, it's a butcher's office! Six months after my colonoscopy AND endoscopy with this office, (July 2025) I'm still trying to get an appointment to see a doctor there! I called multiple times, explaining that I still have abdominal pain and I need to see a doctor, and they simply do not care. They always saying they will call back, but they don't. This guy and his entire "team" must be removed from any health insurance, and whomever put him there, needs to be sued to the whole extent of the law! THE WORST experience simply SCHEDULING. It's taken me months to get an appointment, not because they are booked, but becuase they can't find me, even though the refereral was done weeks ago and a previous agent told me they had it. Then they say the "care team" will call me back, but they never did, twice. It was weeks and I just kept calling. Finally someone in pharmacy or some odd department called me simply becuase I left an urgent voicemail. They are so disorganized and simply don't care. I had to reschedule my appointment and they cannot even do basic rescheduling. I called 3 different departments, and finally a very rude woman transferred me elsewhere even when I said please don't... she just basically hungup. I tried calling back and NA. Extremely Frustrating Experience - Would Not Recommend! Now I understand what all the reviews were referring to. I called to make an appointment for my brother, who currently has G-tubes and needs them removed. His primary care physician referred him to dr. Suchov. My brother's hospital medical records are extensive--17,496 pages, no exaggeration. The office asked us to bring in hard copies so they could scan them. We offered a flash drive to save them digitally, but they declined. Instead of using common sense and convenience, they insisted on physical paper copies of everything. After multiple back-and-forth conversations, they finally agreed to only accept the gastrointestinal-related records, which still amounted to about 1,000 pages. I faxed the first 50 pages, but after that, the fax line stopped working--it was either unplugged or constantly busy, even 24 hours later. The next day, I printed the documents and brought them to the office in person. The front desk staff told me, "Wait here, I'll scan them and give them back." I said to just keep them for the appointment. Then he mentioned that the first appointment would be telemedicine and not in-person. I explained that my brother has G-tubes and needs hands-on care. He confirmed it would still be a telehealth visit and that the earliest available appointment was in two months. At that point, I told him we no longer needed the appointment. With this kind of inefficiency and poor communication, it's a real risk to your health to be a patient here. Also, be aware: the Encino location is not a real medical office--it's just a small office space with three employees. I still have no idea where the doctor actually sees patients in person after the initial telehealth consultation. read more

I have never witnessed a more negligent practice in my entire life. For nearly half a year after being assigned to their offices, I have endured unacceptable disrespect, dismissive attitudes, and uninformed decisions. Despite doing my best to communicate some of my issues and provide them an opportunity to remedy my concerns, they have not once, but multiple times, threatened to either cancel my medications (that I need) or my appointments. It's no surprise that they dismiss me as a "difficult" patient to deal with and accuse me of being disrespectful. They take no accountability or self-reflection on how to improve their practice. As their patient, I've only become difficult because they have refused to do what is expected of them. I shouldn't have to fight to get answers to important health questions, nor be a source of information about a condition they diagnosed me with. Most concerning of all, if you get past many of the problems that exist related to their office and the people that work there, the quality of care is abysmal. When diagnosed with a relatively rare condition, both the Dr. and nurse have failed their due diligence every step of the process. From having little to no knowledge about the actual condition and making no effort to read up on it, to failing to account for complications or adverse reactions to medications, refusing to answer or provide solutions to adverse reactions-- the people here have zero respect for the well-being of their patients and their outcomes. If you are as unfortunate as I am to have been assigned to their offices. Do whatever you can to find someone better as soon as possible; your health may depend on it. read more

The practitioner working under Dr. Suchov told me my symptoms were alarming and required an urgent colonoscopy. When a woman from the office called to schedule it, she gave me a date a full year away. When I told her the practitioner had told me I needed an urgent procedure, she said callously "then go to the ER" and gave me no other options. I waited almost a year, then less than 2 months before the colonoscopy I got a voicemail saying they had cancelled my procedure because there was an issue with the authorization. No one had ever called me to inform me they were having trouble with the authorization, they just cancelled my appt that I'd been waiting 10 months for and told me after the fact. Seems to me like an incompetent, uncaring, and even immoral practice--stay far away from Dr. Suchov if at all possible. read more

I was referred to Dr. Mordo Suchov for a colonoscopy. After 9 months waiting to get the appointment, the office called the night before and cancelled. I was able to get a different doctor for the colonoscopy and endoscopy. However, when I needed a capsule endoscopy, I was referred back to Dr. Suchov. After 7 months waiting, I had an appointment. Again, they called and cancelled the night before. After 5 more months, I got the appointment. I never saw a doctor. What appeared to be a secretary in dirty gym clothes strapped this contraption on. The Encino off was not a doctor's office, but it looked like a janitor's closet that is never cleaned. I was refused a copy of the report. I got medication in the mail with no instructions. 5 months later, a different doctor I see was able to get the report. It turns out, the capsule shut off half way through, and the report was incomplete. When the pharmacy tried to refill my prescriptionm, the Suchov's office never answered. A month later I ended up in emergency with acture diverticulitis, in the section of the bowle the capsule didn't reach. I have been referred back to Suchov for followup. I was given a tele-appointment with a nurse's assistant. I believe some Dr. Mordo Suchov's actions and inactions are criminal. I am making a report to the state board. read more

I've been trying to schedule a routine colonoscopy with Dr Suchov's office for about a year now. I work for the public school system, so the expectation is that we do routine medical things over the summer. Fair enough. First I have to get the referral from my Dr; did that last winter. Called Suchov's office- first you have to have a phone consultation. Nothing available for 2 months. Well, can I make the appointment for the procedure now, so I can get the date? Nope. Have to have the consultation first. During the consultation they ask how you're feeling- as if I'm going to be feeling the same in 2 months when I finally get the procedure-? So now can I make an appointment? They had nothing for the summer. The next best is winter break. Winter break comes around, and I get a lingering cough from a nasty cold, and have to cancel the appointment. Are there any appointments available on my days off? No. Ok, can I schedule for the summer? No, that's too far in advance. Which means, I'd have to start the entire routine all over again.....what's the point? The office call center reps are not helpful and rude. I called 4 times just to get put on hold or redirected to the automated system. I tried calling back but they will not pick up the call anymore. It's beyond frustrating and all I'm asking is a direct number to the office as I have questions for my child's procedure for today. To the "reps" taking client calls. If you're not happy to help quit and leave! You are in a healthcare industry who we patients rely on to direct us to professionals who can answer our health questions. Your attitude and unprofessionalism is adding to the anxiety we have with our health. My mother has colon cancer. Medicare referred us to Dr. Suchov for a colonoscopy. After numerous calls for 4 months, we/ my mother's doctors still can't get a copy of her colonoscopy report. Finally after complaining to Medicare, we got a call back scheduling a tele-appointment, which isn't for another 3 weeks from now. I told the front office assistant that I can't stop my prescription for three months and asked for an emergency refill. She said "no" and there's nothing her or I can do. I had to borderline harass them in order for them to get me connected to a doctor so that I could get a refill. And setting up an appointment to change medication because of a flare up is just as bad. They have a complete lack of empathy and understanding. This practice is just HORRIBLY RUN. change specialists if you can. Also you will never, and I mean NEVER get into contact with Dr Suchov. Instead you'll be having a phone appointment with a Nurse practitioner who will forget who you are, what medications you are taking, what condition you have, and will just straight up think that they're talking to someone ELSE. Horrible experience. Was not given my test results and when I called was told someone called me with them. It was impossible to get someone on the phone to even schedule an appointment. Dr. Suchov first had a nurse practitioner call me and that was the only person I spoke to for months. There are no in person appointments available if you want one. I called and was told I would receive a call back from a scheduler who will schedule me an appointment to speak to a nurse practitioner over the phone. I made my appointment for a colonoscopy in March 2024, but had to wait until December 2024 for an appointment. I received a packet in the mail with prescriptions for the colonoscopy and instructions for the day before the procedure. When I arrived at Valley Presbyterian Hospital for the procedure on December 18, 2024, as instructed, I was informed that Dr. Suchov's staff neglected to schedule my procedure. The staff at Valley Presbyterian also informed me that this happens regularly with Dr. Suchov's clients because his staff is inept. My advice...choose another gastroenterologist because this one simply doesn't care. read more

This is the worst kind of doctors office I've ever experienced. I was referred to them in October and first off they can't even make an appointment when you call you have to leave a message. So by November I still hadn't heard from them they tell me to leave another message and then by December I finally call and complain and they call me back to tell me my referral is expiring and they don't have an appointment until March! Not to mention I had a prior experience with them a few years ago where I was supposed to have my gallbladder removed and they were super rude and uninformative and wanted to schedule me for invasive procedures before removal. First time patient and I have been receiving beyond the best customer service care! I had been calling around to book an appointment with a specialist for gastroenterology and everywhere was booked into 2025! I called Dr. Suchov's office; left a message and couldn't believe they called me right back as it was the end of the day! I explained my situation and immediately received an appointment. The next day I received a call from the doctor and was informed that my situation would be escalated to exactly what I was hoping for. Horrible bedside manner, did not help me, when I was in the hospital told me I would die without surgery (I didn't,) rude staff, but worst of all - they will not provide medical records to me from when I was a patient (major hippa violation...they've been reported.) When getting a colonoscopy, dr was 3 hours late and I later discovered that my lab tests from the colonoscopy were sent to a lab that my insurance didn't accept. Terrible place. What kind of GI doctor refuses to see patients in person? No real exam takes place, just phone appointments and tests ordered. Never even get to actually take to the doctor, just the physician's assistant who doesn't listen to anything I say. The staff is rude and incompetent. Plus, I recently found out that one of the tests he ordered often has false negatives when you're on one of the meds I happen to be taking, which he knows since he prescribed it! This was never mentioned. And now, for two weeks, the officephone has been down, and my calls are sent to a messenger service that takes forever to respond, and then I never get called back. I've been suffering with extreme nausea for over a year now, and they've been no help whatsoever. read more

Two appointments - never saw Dr. Suchov! It was very hard to get appointments, had phone appointments with nurse instead, prescribed lots of tests ("they are all free"), prescribed lots of medications, and one test result was read wrong. After prescribing me an uneccessary $840 prescription, they said don't take it if you have no symptoms. Obviously I cannot recommend. I assume something happened in the past 6-12 months that has caused his reviews to plummet. I found Dr. Krishnan to be wonderful for the colonoscopy and endoscopy and recommend him highly. read more
