Since they are no longer at that location, I have literally drove to the Broadway and Willamette spot more than 10 times to get one, but they are always closed even when the hours on the website showed they would be open. I was downtown for an appointment, and wandered around for a bit afterwards. I was hungry, and noticed Morelos Taqueria while walkinb by. I have been craving a good breakfast burrito for a while so went for it! The lady in the cart was friendly, and had a huge smile, always good to see! I ordered a Chorizo breakfast burrito... and then got to watch her scramble the eggs, chorizo and potatoes and put it all in a tortilla! She did a great job... the tortilla was wrapped tighter than I can ever get them... lots of practice I guess! :) Delicious... and a huge burrito. It had a bit more potato than I like, and could have used more Chorizo... but it was really good even so. I would order it again! read more

Best. Burrito. I've ever had. I've moved from Eugene but grab a burrito at this food cart whenever I'm in town.

Working downtown Eugene, I've now frequented this particular cart several different times. Now, I'm a big critic of Mexican food (because I freaking love it: SO MUCH!) - so I have a tendency to be a little bit... judgey. I'll refrain as much as possible from doing that here. Now, don't be fooled by the three stars. If there was an option to rate it say... 3.8 stars, that'd be exactly where I would place it. What's holding this place back (slightly) is the consistency. For example, today I had the fish tacos for lunch. They were absolutely stellar! Lively and popping with flavor, they really hit the spot without me needing to drown them in sauce. Most of the food that I've ordered from here shares such praise. Until it doesn't. On a small number of occasions, and mostly limited to the burrito options, I've had the opposite opinion. Sometimes the ingredients have tasted stale and over-cooked. And honestly, at almost 9 dollars a burrito (including tip), that left me feeling a little disenchanted. Now keep in mind, this has been a a rare occurrence. Overall the pros outweigh the cons. By a pretty wide margin too. The staff here are SUPER polite and they really do serve great food. Wow. I guess I don't expect great Mexican food in the Pacific Northwest, but this was pretty bad. I ordered chicken nachos. A pretty simple dish. Got ballpark cheese on my nachos. Guh-ross. The chicken was dried out and less than fresh. There was a little bit of real cheese mixed in, so I'm not sure if they just ran out of the real stuff-idk? However, lesson learned. From now on, I will ask what kind of cheese will be used on my nachos! (This is the second time this has happened to me in Oregon, and honestly-canned cheese is about the only way you can ruin nachos). This is by far the best Mexican food you can find in Eugene/Springfield (and likely all the way to Portland). My go to order was a chicken burrito or tamales. Had tried the tacos as well. Ordered: Veg burrito, no cheese. Yes salsas. So far, best vegetarian burrito I've had in the Eugene/Springfield area. The rice is notably seasoned and really stands out, full of flavor. The vegetables are more than just pico and iceberg, which is so so so appreciated in a veggie burrito. Not dry, perfectly juicy, which can be hard to find when one omits the dairy elements from a meatless burrito. Great salsa. Overall, the rice stands out, flavorful vegetables, and wonderful balance of textures makes this burrito the best vegetarian burrito I have had in the area. read more

Worst tacos in Eugene this far and what made my experience worse is that the lady I ordered from charged me 18.75 for 4 tacos $3 each and 2 Jaritos 2.25 each. Does that math make sense?!?!? When I went back to confront her she said looking at her iPad I don't know how that happened in Spanish. She returned the difference. She continually said when I later picked up my order that she had pressed the wrong button because she overheard me say computers don't make mistakes. What a hidden gem, somewhat crummy location but that's no fault of theirs. Just lots of colorful characters and banter in this area in general, but mostly harmless. The food on the other hand is fantastic, I think they are pretty close to the quality of tacovore which is my favorite taco spot.
