The cortadillos are nice and soft, the tamales de queso con rajas are so good. I tried the chicken tamales but I'm not a fan of them.

Second time here the bolillos are the best thing they have including the cashiers attitude rude and unpleasant.

I was greeted by very friendly staff. I came to just try their tamales. I bought a half a dozen, including beef, pork and chicken. Took them home to try with my wife. The masa was really good, they were average size but packed with meat and flavor. I will return to buy a couple of dozens soon. Went strictly in for tamales but they do have menudo on Saturday and Sundays. Before I get to the tamales this location also has a bakery and does have a little store. Now to the tamales ~ delicious ! They do offer different types with different type of meats etc. The young ladies working were friendly and will be going back in the future to try some of the bakery. First time going I was craving tamales and didn't wanna settle for Cardenas tamales (they're mediocre at best) and OMG SO GOOD !!! I ordered chicken and cheese w/ jalapeño and within a couple minutes I finished them both. Ordered the beef for my mother, she enjoyed it as well however I don't normally eat beef tamales. They have sweet ones on their menu but they didn't have any today idk if they run out of those early or what but hopefully next time I go they'll have those ready ! Moreno foods rip us off. We bought 25 lbs of masa for tamales and the masa was crap not enough lard in the masa so all the tamales stuck to the husk. We were told by employee, no need to add anything to masa. Why would moreno foods advertise prepared masa for tamales and not add enough lard for tamales not to stick to husk. If thats the case, your tamale masa is not prepared properly and is advertise that it is. False advertising and ripping customers off! Greed! I try to give my business to local mom and pop shops and this is the end result. I will be bashing Moreno foods with false advertised prepared masa everytime I get a chance. I tried this place on the recommendation of a friend. Bought some pork tamales they were so dry I had to drink and eat to choke them down....then I belched and they came back up in my mouth immediately started feeling sick like I needed to throw them up so I took medicine to get them out of my system as fast as I could. Their were a few bad reviews but I ignored them because their were more good ones then bad. Just a waste of my $20.00....had to trash them my husband refused to try them for fear he would get sick like I did. Be your own judge if you have money to blow. read more

This place is way over hyped then it really is. We had purchased two batches of tamales. One bite of the meat ones makes you think you bit into a clove of garlic and the corn ones were dry and later found out they were old and expired. All I have to say is they make the best corn tortillas EVER! We buy ours at a Asadero's market in Yucaipa. They are called Don Joaquin. San Jacinto is a bit far from us but I will certainly now make the drive for tamales!! read more

This little hidden treasure in San Jacinto is pretty nice. The flavors are on point. The staff are also super nice at this location too. They have pretty good desserts that are priced at a good rate. They have great prices for tamales too at under $15 for a dozen. My only issue with the tamales is that they're mostly masa. Like I said before, all the flavors are on point, but I prefer my tamales with more meat or cheese. The chili pepper ones (cheese jalapeño) are my favorite and worth trying. read more

They have really good menudo and tamales. We also get their pan dulce sometimes. I would rate that as average, it's good but not worth a special trip. The menudo though and tamales are both worth coming for. The service is also fast, and friendly. I go almost every weekend. read more

We have been going to the same place for over 30 yers in Montebello this place closed down and we have not found anything close to the quality of Masa that we are used to. I stumbled across this place on yelp.Although, I live in menifee we decided to try it. We made 55 dozens of tamales and they came out fantastic. Thank goodness we tried it and the masa spread easily it had great flavor and was not grainy. We have found our new place to get our masa. Try it you won't be disappointed read more

Tried this place as it was recommended for the tamales and they did not disappoint the tamales are a little on the small side but they are good and fresh. My first time here. Two orders of menudo that come with corn tortillas and menudo mix, limes, etc. Also bought a dozen beef tamales. The store is clean and the folks are very nice. The best menudo I've purchased in quite some time...not greasy...and the corn tortillas are real corn tortillas..yummy. Tamales are delish and the prices are very reasonable. I have not yet tried the pan dulce but they looked delicious too. Plenty of parking and not next to a liquor store...Ill be coming back for sure. read more
