Hands down the service is what really makes this place special. We appreciated the way we're were treated and how they wanted to make sure everything was just right. We ordered a variety of items: from Kids Chicken strips to street tacos and last but not least chicken and beef enchiladas with red sauce. Price and quality of the food is good. The complimentary chips, bean dip and salsa are delicious and chips are served warm. Would definitely recommend the street tacos, the carne asada and grilled chicken are very flavorful. The beans and rice are a little unseasoned but still good. The Sonoran hot dog is a must as well. My husband and I stopped in for a bite to eat after a movie at the next-door theater. It's a decent sized place. My husband had a burrito that he loved and I had a Baja fish taco that was absolutely huge!! And very tasty!! One of the things we liked about this place is they have a little salsa bar where we can go get different levels of heat on the salsa as well as limes and avocado sauce. They had a whole chalkboard full of different types of margaritas you could get, but my husband and I both got a regular Margarita - his blended mine on the rocks. It came in a small fishbowl. lol! For $5.00 each! And they tasted awesome!!! The staff was more than friendly! I'm not sure why we have overlooked this place in the past, but we will definitely be going back on the regular. read more

Ireally like their tacos, so my wife and I decided to give them a try for breakfast. Ummm, hard pass. Chiliquiles (& I added chorizo) was not great. ALL the under laying tortilla chips were soggy and tasted like mush. Chorizo was ok, but not very flavorful and definitely not spicy. It come with hash browns, but these tasted like the frozen ones out of the freezer sectionkey but the beans we're pretty good. My wife had the breakfast burritos (she gave me a bite to try) and it was more like a besn burritos- hardly any egg or bacon. I'll still go back at lunch or dinner for the tacos, but $30+ for 2 very mediocre breakfast with water is a hard pass for me. read more

Moreno Review An hour after I ate my dinner I had severe pains and then began throwing up and in the bathroom for hours until early this morning. I called them this morning to let them know of my food poisoning. Manger refuses to speak with me. Employee said she was there and to hold on. He got back on the phone and then lies and tells me she won't be in until later. I called him out and he said she never came in. Which is it??? He said he refused to refund my dinner. I should have called yesterday, and hung up on me! Seriously??? With so many bad reviews that I just found, you would think you would want to do the right thing. Disgusting, Moreno's. Hubby had the Spinach enchilada and it was fantastic. I had the grilled fish taco and the shredded beef taco. The portions were huge and that fish taco was freakin awesome. The shredded beef was good too, but the fish was clearly my favorite. They also had a sweet tomatillo sauce that is just out of this world flavorful. You guys are great with flavor! read more

This spot is really close to home for us so we've ordered takeout or delivery often (at least a dozen times). It is definitely gringo Mexican food but actually very flavorful (the only reason the rating isn't lower). The problem is an utter lack of accuracy with orders. Not once in a while - but at least half the time. Anything from ordering queso dip and not receiving chips, to ordering a meal that the menu clearly states comes with rice and beans, and receiving neither. It's pretty shocking given that practically every Mexican dish, from any restaurant, comes with rice and beans. If you plan to do carry out plan on standing around. Regardless of what time they say the order will be ready you will stand around waiting. Not sure we will order again anytime soon. It's a bit of a poorly managed, train wreck. read more

The service is always great. The food is amazing! I have eaten in three locations and it has been the same experience at each location.

The food here is good - probably 4 stars but it can't overcome the poor rude service you get - and it's quick service so my expectations are pretty low. First off, always check your bag because 9 out of 10 times they leave something out from your order and it awesome when you get home with your salad and there is no salad dressing or they leave a Sonoran hotdog off your order and now you have to rock, paper, scissors for who is not going to eat. Secondly, this place closes at 8:30 which means you better order before 7:30 or you will be greeted like you just ruined someone's day. At worst I will show up at 8:00 and order a freakin bean burrito so how much of an inconvenience can that be. But I have finally drawn the line after being told on several occasions that they are out of a certain salsa but I can easily see that it is sitting in there salsa bar that was cleaned up and shut down an hour prior to closing and they don't have it prepackaged behind the counter. Disappointing - I hope some else opens a similar restaurant close by but I am done with this place read more

It was cold on the inside, and then the cheese and spinach sauce they poured over the burrito was cold as well. Typical Mexican fare at a convenient location. It's close to The Alamo movie theater. We had the cheese crisp which was average. The burritos the rest of the family ate were average as well. My wife had the crispy tacos that she enjoyed. With so many Mexican food places to choose from in the area, this one is newer and clean. It's spacious, open, and airy. The cuisine seems more on the gourmet side than traditional fare. Try it for lunch as they have great lunch specials. Their appetizers are 1/2 off between 3pm to 6pm. read more

This place exceeded my expectations! Menu was very large, excellent kids menu, good prices and the food had authentic flavor. The dining area was clean and was good sized with televisions. There is also outdoor seating and a large salsa bar. I had street tacos with pork adobada. My wife had a burrito fajita style that was really good but she passed on the spinach cheese sauce. Kids loved the cheese quesadilla with rice! They also have alcohol in the dining area. Would definitely go back for casual Mexican food without the high prices. read more

Ive been to multiple Morenos restaurants in the valley. I decided to venture and visit this location. The Manager working was extremely rude and overall unpleasant. I ordered 2 chicken tacos for a hefty price of 9.95$. this had be one of the worst decisions I have made recently. Not only did it take 20 minutes for my food to be ready, the customer service and the people had 0 clue as to what they were doing. all I heard was screaming in the kitchen and the manager continuing to give me dirty looks for no apparent reason. Once my food finally came , to my suprise it seemed rushed and under cooked . I ended up not eating half of it and went down the street and ate at a much nicer and cohesive place. Costa Vida. Overall I strongly do not recommend coming here as it is the worst mexican restaurant I have ever been to. For Dear Lord do not come here. Need to always check orders. I always say, EXTRA RICE NO BEANS and somehow get beans anyway which I throw away....wasteful but I hate refried beans and they actually make me sick to look at them. I like the food but just can't get a take out order right. I saw the order input correctly on the cash register so it is the cooks not reading the instructions. I am updating my review after a visit at my his location today. I was so excited to have crispy potato tacos but I was disappointed overall with this location. It was 1:00 pm and they were out of avocado salsa. My tacos were over cooked and the service was terrible!! When we placed our first order the worker was very pleasant. I attempted to place an order to go only to be ignored. In all fairness, One worker was on the phone and the other was walking around. After waiting for a few minutes, the second phone rang and the worker walking around took the call.....as I was still waiting and being ignored. I know these workers are young and inexperienced, but it was just rude. I had two different friends with me, they said their carne asada tacos "alright" and the Baja shrimp and fish tacos were good. Makes me sad because potato tacos are hard to find. This place is so close to my house I might give it another try on a different day...maybe Sundays don't work for this place? I am giving this location 5 stars for the Potato Crispy Tacos!!!! It's hard to find a restaurant that makes delicious potato tacos...potato tacos period....and it's near my home! They were delicious and no exaggeration! Mashed potatoes with lettuce, cheese, avocado sour cream and salsa.....YUM!
