Went there for dinner with my wife yesterday. I had the Pollo Fundidonwhich was good. My wife had a taco salad and the lettuce wes way old to the point it was kimp qnd transparent. I mentioned it to our server who hardly checked on us and ahe said she'd tell the kitchen. No offer for q new one, to have something else or take something off our bill. I read other reviews saying service is slow AND QND IT IS. May or may not go back. It's been a few weeks since I posted this. This place is located on the East side of McQueen Rd between Chandler Heights and Riggs. It kind of looks like a White House (La Casa Blanca). Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. I posted a photo of current hours and menu. On a Thursday night it wasn't too crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a bar and tvs. The service was good. The chips and salsa were good as well with the salsa tasty but not too spicy. All of the meals were appropriately sized for price (see photos). We tried a bunch of different dishes and all were as expected. They could have been made more spicy so if needed get a side of the jalapeños which add some flavor and kick. Disappointed. We went on Saturday at 4:30 pm. Restaurant was empty with one waitress and one bartender. We were served by the bartender. We waited 20 minutes to place order (she forgot about us.) We ordered. Then 6 tables came in. Two tables got their food before us. I ordered fajitas and the rice and beans were dry and crusted over. The fajitas came out sizzling. My wife's cheeseburger was burned and the fries (krinkle cut )were clumped together- she returned the dish. The restaurant is clean and appealing inside. There is a beautiful outdoor eating area that's spacious and inviting. During the summer they have misting system and fire-pit for winter. Large dirt parking area behind restaurants. It's been a while since we've been here and happy to see its still there! They have a large, beautiful outside patio, which would be amazing when the weather in Arizona is gorgeous, but not so much right now at 115°. The chips and salsa are always a must and if you like the hotter salsa, they got it! Our food came out pretty fast and was piping hot and yummy! Not that great and pricey...chips and salsa taste like they came out of a bag of Santita's $2 chips from Fry's...The salsa also not homemade and very generic. Ordered from ala carte menu and they still brought out enchiladas with a side of rice and beans and then charged me for it when I wanted just two enchiladas. Hardly any sauce on them also. Usually this is our go to for great Mexican. Usually great service today was great food but terrible service. All the staff were just standing around talking to each other while we're waiting on more drinks, chips etc ... very frustrating cause I don't want to be that guy. It is what it is maybe give them one more chance I guess it could have been an off night. One thing I've learned is never have friends working the same shifts / nights whatever all they do is chat. La Casa Blanca is a restaurant in Chandler with amazing ambience! Front interior to exterior, very nice! Service was pretty solid for my table, the waitress was nice, but for a family behind us, they weren't visited for around 15 or so minutes after sitting down, and it wasn't busy. Now for the food, I got a shredded chicken chimichanga (beans no rice) and a frozen lime margarita. The chimi (while it had a good texture) was quite devoid of flavor, even pouring salsa on it didn't seem to help as their salsa doesn't have too much flavor either. Not to mention, while cutting it, the chicken juice was pouring out and pooling on the plate. This is a ball of disappointment since the chimi was a whopping $18. It really needs a sauce on top similar to an enchilada. The margarita wasn't bad, but on a few sips, it tasted like medicine which I wasn't fond of. Overall, La Casa Blanca has some things they need to improve on. 2 stars is for the lack of flavor in the chimi and medicine taste in the marg. read more

Only gave 1 star because it made me. Went there last night for dinner. We were seated outside, took 30 minutes to get our drinks, asked for some sweetener for our tea ended up having to go inside and get some because our server never brought it after waiting 15 minutes.. ordered our food, after an hour, server came out and said they didn't have any hamburger meat and if we wanted something else. Asked if it was going to take an hour to order something else and she got an attitude right way.. when the food finally came out, it was cold and not very impressive. Do not recommend this place at all! Maybe if there would have been a little communication, may have been a little more acceptable.. where was the manager to explain all the delays or comp maybe 20%?? read more

So we were in the area and decided to try it out once again since it's been awhile. We were hesitant since maybe there were ten vehicles ( including employees) on a Sunday evening. Walked in got seated and were given chips pretty promptly then sat there with no drinks and no service for 15 minutes!! We gave it a few more minutes and stood up and walked out. Not one employee was interested we were leaving so we let the busboy know why and he didn't even look up just mumbled "sorry". I guess it's getting worse not better and it's sad because we were patrons for 15 years! Like others have said it's run by young people which isn't bad but with no direction or guidance given the one guy that was older with a beard made eye contact several times but obviously didn't care. Food quality is very poor. Service is is also bad. We had a large party and we came early. Our party was big and we could see the table was ready but they made us wait in the bar. That was rude. I tried La Casa Blanca for the first time ever with my Dad-- and it blew us away!! The atmosphere is gorgeous! The restaurant is a historic white building that looks a bit like a house (La Casa Blanca means the White House in English). The service was also great, our server (Gabby W.) did a great job. We started with the Mini Chimis and did 3 chicken and 3 beef. Truly some of the best chimichangas I've had. Crispy, filled with juicy meat, and served with a delicious sauce (a buttery, cheesy and slightly spicy sauce). Our entrees were also phenomenal (I got Tamales, my Dad got a Taco dish). It's been several years that we have eaten here. Nice bar inside, offers indoor and outdoor seats. Hostess and waitress were friendly. They offer chips and salsa but apparently forgot about us :-) which was fine. I had the spinach enchiladas which were okay. My friend had a beef tostada, cheese enchilada with rice and beans. He was satisfied with his meal, said the enchilada sauce was tasty. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't too busy but service was fast. Look this place is not a 5 star but it's not bad either. The patio on a sunny day is amazing! The fajitas, pollo fondido and enchiladas Blancas are Tasty! As a Mexican-American living right across the street, I really want to like this place. Have tried a few times over the past few years and there has not been a single redeemable quality. From unmelted cheese on a cheese crisp to dry chimis with a complete lack of flavor, to the bad service, it is surprising this place is still open. I've been eating at La Casa Blanca since it very first opened. As a matter of fact, I remember when it really was a White House and people lived in it! I especially like the atmosphere on the patio and the front bar/dining area. The back dining room doesn't have as good of a vibe. The patio has outdoor fireplaces and lots of trees and shade. Our server was a great young lady. Friendly and efficient! Kept the chips, salsa and beverages full at all times. The chips aren't as thin as I like but they're good. The salsa is quite spicy...not pico. I ordered my regular, Pollo Fundido, and my husband ordered Enchilada Blancas with chili verde. We split our two dishes and I preferred his! I'd order that again! I feel like the portion sizes here have shrunk since I last ate here. My dad had the Sonoran Enchiladas and my sister had chicken fajitas. We all enjoyed the meals but I can't say this is my favorite Mexican food. I have other restaurants I like better. It was my dad's birthday so they gave him a complimentary dessert! read more

Well, the place has been consistent; consistently on a downward spiral in quality and service - slowly sinking into oblivion in my opinion. More like a morgue than a restaurant. It's in a great location with potential; but the current management has no vision. I can't recommend La Casa Blanca. I guess we have eaten here over 100 times in 16 years. The food was great until Covid. Though the Chef has been there 20 years, our last 3 meals we now know are our last! Out of bean dip, only one order of chile relleno at 5:00 p.m., and lousy watery Margherita's to name a few. Then last week, I paid for our dinner with a Visa card. I noticed an extra charge on our check. I was informed that they now add about 3.5% for credit cards. When I asked where that policy was posted, I was told it was there "customary policy!" So, we tried Manuel's with family tonight. I am going to write a Yelp 10 Review! The meals were hot, perfectly cooked, no long wait, and priced similarly. No extra charge for credit cards! Try this place out. Went for lunch. Food was good and tasted as expected. Chips, salsa and spicy bean dip were good. It had a nice ambiance and setting for large groups. Service was lacking due to being obviously short staffed. We will visit again soon for dinner and see how service is during the evening. read more

La Casa Blanca is a nice restaurant and has really nice outdoor seating!!! The inside was older and outdated and only had limited seating on one side but I took my food to go. The staff were all really nice!!! I had the enchiladas combo which, I was surprised to see big chunks of peas in the rice but, my food was actually really good! I'd go back and sit outside to dine, as the outdoor lights and seating has better charm of elegance and class. We have loved this place for years, and I have to say the food is still really good. Not the best around but good. What concerns me is that there are non functional TV's in the bar that have been that way for about a year. The whole reason we like to go to a restaurant bar is to watch a game while we eat. If the ownership is too cheap to replace a couple of TV's, then I have to ask... where else are they going to cut corners? The food quality? Cleanliness? Definitely want to send a shout out to the staff.. they have always been fantastic... friendly, courteous, and attentive. Maybe the owners should learn something from them!!
