shredded beef chimichanga with rice and beans and a margarita
    Cassie D.

It's been a while since we've been here and happy to see its still there! They have a large, beautiful outside patio, which would be amazing when the weather in Arizona is gorgeous, but not so much right now at 115°. The chips and salsa are always a must and if you like the hotter salsa, they got it! Our food came out pretty fast and was piping hot and yummy! There was so much food (maybe we over did it on the chips & salsa) and ended up taking 1/2 of it home and had it for dinner the next night. Great atmosphere and friendly service!

First time visiting La Casa Blanca and we will definitely be back. Love the ambiance, especially during the holidays. Food was delicious (forgot to take pics). Ask for the hot salsa! Service was excellent.

La Casa Blanca is a restaurant in Chandler with amazing ambience! Front interior to exterior, very nice! Service was pretty solid for my table, the waitress was nice, but for a family behind us, they weren't visited for around 15 or so minutes after sitting down, and it wasn't busy. Now for the food, I got a shredded chicken chimichanga (beans no rice) and a frozen lime margarita. The chimi (while it had a good texture) was quite devoid of flavor, even pouring salsa on it didn't seem to help as their salsa doesn't have too much flavor either. Not to mention, while cutting it, the chicken juice was pouring out and pooling on the plate. This is a ball of disappointment since the chimi was a whopping $18. It really needs a sauce on top similar to an enchilada. The margarita wasn't bad, but on a few sips, it tasted like medicine which I wasn't fond of. Overall, La Casa Blanca has some things they need to improve on. 2 stars is for the lack of flavor in the chimi and medicine taste in the marg.

I tried La Casa Blanca for the first time ever with my Dad-- and it blew us away!! The atmosphere is gorgeous! The restaurant is a historic white building that looks a bit like a house (La Casa Blanca means the White House in English). The service was also great, our server (Gabby W.) did a great job. We started with the Mini Chimis and did 3 chicken and 3 beef. Truly some of the best chimichangas I've had. Crispy, filled with juicy meat, and served with a delicious sauce (a buttery, cheesy and slightly spicy sauce). Our entrees were also phenomenal (I got Tamales, my Dad got a Taco dish). Delicious food. Truly some of the best Mexican I've had in the past few years. I'll be back FOR SURE!

It's been several years that we have eaten here. Nice bar inside, offers indoor and outdoor seats. Hostess and waitress were friendly. They offer chips and salsa but apparently forgot about us :-) which was fine. I had the spinach enchiladas which were okay. My friend had a beef tostada, cheese enchilada with rice and beans. He was satisfied with his meal, said the enchilada sauce was tasty. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't too busy but service was fast. We would recommend if you are in the area...maybe even have a drink or two :-)

Chimichanga anyone? Arizona is known for their chimichangas which just so happen to be Jake's favorite burrito !! This was an amazing authentic experience! Who doesn't love deep fried food!?? The service is always so kind and the ambiance is so sweet we love eating there!

I've been eating at La Casa Blanca since it very first opened. As a matter of fact, I remember when it really was a White House and people lived in it! I especially like the atmosphere on the patio and the front bar/dining area. The back dining room doesn't have as good of a vibe. The patio has outdoor fireplaces and lots of trees and shade. Our server was a great young lady. Friendly and efficient! Kept the chips, salsa and beverages full at all times. The chips aren't as thin as I like but they're good. The salsa is quite spicy...not pico. I ordered my regular, Pollo Fundido, and my husband ordered Enchilada Blancas with chili verde. We split our two dishes and I preferred his! I'd order that again! I feel like the portion sizes here have shrunk since I last ate here. My dad had the Sonoran Enchiladas and my sister had chicken fajitas. We all enjoyed the meals but I can't say this is my favorite Mexican food. I have other restaurants I like better. It was my dad's birthday so they gave him a complimentary dessert!

Service was great but food and drinks were just average. Ambience felt like an old diner and not a Mexican restaurant.

So after clocking out I drove there and I was surprised it was right next to Kim Thao's Bakery. I had never seen this place until I got there. Inside, the ambiance gives a very authentic Mexican vibe with a lot of decor. I got the 3 cabeza tacos which was cow meat from the head. I wasn't hesitant in trying because why would I not? The tacos were really flavorsome. The meat combine with the toppings and lime made it seem like it was like any other beef taco. So after eating all 3, I ordered 3 more...After the first visit, I went back a different time to try their burritos. On the other hand, the burritos were very pricey...I ordered a beef tongue burrito which ran me about 20$....but, they are packed heavily. The beef tongue had a consistency like chicken which I like. But sometimes some of the meat had a rubbery texture. Everything I ate there was very delicious as I could taste the quality. I think this spot is authentic as it has great portion sizes however, I do think it can be pricey. Would I come here again? Yes, but just for the tacos. My next visit, I would definitely try the carnitas and cabeza tacos again. Overall, I rate this place a strong 7/10. sorry. The nachos ended up being the star of the night. They were loaded, flavorful, and very satisfying. There was plenty of food and they were more than enough for both of us to share. My husband ordered the burrito and finished it pretty quickly because it was on the smaller side. After that we both ended up just sharing the nachos and we were completely full. Since this was a delivery order I cannot speak to the dine in atmosphere or service, but the food was packaged really well and everything arrived intact and still fresh. Nothing was soggy and the portions held up well for delivery, which I always appreciate. The nachos were definitely the highlight and something I would absolutely order again. Next time I would actually love to stop in during the day and try it in person so we can explore more of the menu.

It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.
