    Awesome Italian goodness

So I came back and took pics before I ate another sandwich lol. It's was just as good as the first one. We had Italians with chips and I'm in love with the toasted bread. Just a great little place to go and grab your new favorite sandwich. The service was awesome again. Thanks.

I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing the sandwich I had was! I got the "BLT" and it was very tasty and fresh. I met a friend here for lunch and we ended up sitting outside which was a bit noisy from the traffic but besides that, it was a really great experience. The staff were friendly, quick & helpful!

Had a craving for Cheba Hut as it's been years since I've been to one! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and my husband went with the Italian. Customer service was amazing! I really appreciate when staff go the extra mile, especially when at an order at the counter type of spot.

Good afternoon my friends, hope everyone had a great weekend. Jen & I got out of the house for a bit and decided to head to downtown Chandler Az. To walk around and get some lunch, we came across Cheba Hut so stopped in for lunch. The restaurant inside is done very nice and making the Ambiance nice to sit down and enjoy the food, might add there is plenty of seating inside and outside. Our server was very nice and checked on us a few times. we ordered the Meat ball sub sandwich and must say very good and happy with our choice for lunch, we made it just in time as the crowd started coming in for lunch which is always a GOOD sign to see. So if you're in the area or an out of towner visiting be sure to stop by and have a great tasting sub.

I really like their toasted subs!! Came here on a Saturday morning after the farmers market, got a long chicken sub, it was good enough for two to share as a light breakfast! So toasty and warm, price is good, it's an easy grab and go or quick meal!

I came back for my yearly visit, and I always ask myself "Why don't I come more often?" I love this spot, the sandwiches are always delicious and full of flavor. The 5-0 is my go to sandwich but I had the opportunity of trying some of the others like the meatball and I was not disappointed.

A coworker recommended Cheba Hut, so I decided to check it out. She suggested their bestseller, The White Widow, but since I like spice, I went for the Jamaican Red and wow! the subs were absolutely delicious! Also I really appreciated the cleanliness the person making my sub had a long beard but was wearing a face net, which I'm big on. Brian, the bartender, was attentive, and even as he was finishing his shift, he left everything clean, stocked, and ready for the next person also I learned every Wednesday their draft beers are half off, which makes it even more of a reason to go, good subs, beer, ambiance and a great price. Definitely coming back!

Ordered delivery from Cheba Hut. The bomb was just ok. No real standout flavor but not terrible. Service was standard for delivery.

Amazing day to go to Cheba hut!!!! Happy 420. They had a huge celebration and a lot of games to play as well as raffles. They had green and white balloons and everybody was so nice and helpful.

    Kali pinner sized sub-Nov 23, 2024

I'm thrilled that I finally had the chance to try a sub here. With 69 locations across 16 states, I'm surprised and a bit sad that I hadn't discovered Cheba sooner! Their offerings set Cheba apart from Firehouse or Subway chains. I don't know if it was their shake house dressing or what but the Kali Sub I had last week was the best sub I've had in the last four years. "The fresh garlic herb bread is the one to order your sandwich on" M said. We selected our beverages and sat at one of their clean bench tables. Lunch was brought to our table within 10 mins, not a bad turnaround time since it was the height of lunch hour. The breast of turkey, bacon, pickle, Jack cheese, avocado, jalapeno, chipotle mayo, lettuce and slivered onion had me smacking my lips after each bite! At lunch I had that 8 inch "pinner" sub gone in half the time my friend completed hers. You bet I'll be back!

    La Canna (Italian)
    Cara T.

Cannabis believe this originated in AZ! From 1998 to the ASU campus this creative sandwich grew across the State of Arizona to over 69 locations through out the country! My kids crave this place and took my husband and I over the weekend after attending the Farmers Market in Chandler. Came in about 2 PM and still seemed fairly busy. It's an order at the counter with the menu above. Lots of options to choose from. Get the garlic bread as your choice. Sandwich sizes 6", 8" & 12". We decided on 2 Bombs (Meatball) , 1 La Canna (Italian) & 1 Sense Kush (Honey Sriracha BTL) Food came promptly. All the sandwiches were delicious. That said, for the price the "fill" should be a little $ more. Thought it was skimpy on ingredients and not a fully punched packed sub! *Supposedly, they have a Secret Stash Menu. Ask your location for details. Heard they have one called the Death Star & Muay Thai. Would be curious for next time! Cheba also offers a full bar with weekly special's too! Note- Cheba means Mary J, but there's NO THC in their ingredients. Strictly just the allure of their establishment. Decor matches the theme Bob Marley, Reggae, Rasta, Rad vibes! Check them out to experience their "Positive Energy" if you haven't already!

A great place to roll up and grab a sub. Love the different options and that it's always consistent! The service was so friendly and I got my food quick. I ordered the Midwest and it's my favorite it's so good! Definitely filling. Cant wait to stop by again.

Met up with my friend and a few of my new coworkers in the office for the first time today. We decided to come here for lunch since it's quick, easy, and right across the street! Walking distance but we drove haha. I've always loved the sandwiches here at Cheba Hut. Nice friendly staff and service. Lots of space. Chill environment. We took a bit of an early lunch and beat the lunch rush. There was no line. I think we got there a little after 10:35 and had our food less than 10mins later. My friend and a coworker both ordered the Kali Mist 8" and liked their sandwiches. It was one of their first times here. He said he's been missing out! Another coworker got the Midwest Best (not pictured. He got there a few minutes later) and enjoyed that one. I ordered the KGB with everything on garlic bread and that was delicious!! Roast beef and horseradish... yum! I'll have to get that one again next time. I've tried a few others before and liked those as well. Can't really go wrong with anything here

I was super stoked to check a place with "retro" in the name out, and I gotta be honest here, I left with pretty mixed emotions about a lot of things. The restaurant itself is pretty boring inside, mostly just being black with a few small pictures hanging up. I was kind of expecting big retro movie posters or something hanging around, but I definitely didn't get much of a retro vibe from this place minus a small neon "bar" sign and a claw machine in the corner. The menus were very cool, right by the front door its a record shelf and the records were the menus, so thumbs up for that idea. I thought i was mistaken, but I don't remember seeing sandwich prices on the actual menu, but as I look at other photos on yelp it does appear that the sandwiches don't have prices attached to them, which explains why I was thrown off by the end price. I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. Overall, I really wanted to love this place for the name, but the lack of much decorations and prices left something to be desired. The food itself was good, but not worth what was spent.

That minor detail aside, I would definitely come back just for that grilled pork. We'll see you again! .

You order at the counter, and then you either get a seat number and choose a seat or wait at the counter for pick up. There was a decent sized menu of bbq options, sides and drinks. The dessert display was filled with what looked to be DELECTABLE goodies! :) (this is what I'd try when I come back, FOR SURE!). I ordered the double meat platter with a half rack of ribs and brisket. The sides were chose were baked beans and Mac and cheese. The platter came with the two rolls, as well. This was to share with one other person. I'd say the ribs were okay, not my favorite! The brisket, on the other hand, had a PERFECT Smokey taste. The Mac and cheese was okay and so were the baked beans (they were super sweet, if that's what you're going for!). Add the regular bbq sauce on the side for dipping and you've got a tasty meal! After dining, we were able to go around the antique shop in the back. It was HUGE! And it kept GOING AND GOING! There here vendors of all sorts from furniture to home goods to jewelry to clothes/shoes. There's a little something for everyone here! There was even a hidden (I guess not hidden if you know about it), second hand, vintage clothing store in the very back. I didn't walk out with anything, but it was as worth the window shopping! The bread is drenched--and I mean perfectly, gloriously drenched--in that deep, savory au jus, so every inch is saturated with rich, beefy flavor. It's not soggy; it's luscious. It's a sponge for joy. And then... the cheese sauce. Sweet, spicy, velvety, liquid gold--it's like someone took pepper jack, dreams, and a touch of heaven and whipped it into a creamy, molten ribbon that cascades over every millimeter of that dipped bread and tender, shreddy beef. The first bite is not just a meal--it's a religious experience. The crunch of the giardiniera, the pop of a sport pepper, the warm, juicy beef, the cheese sauce pulling in golden strands... it's an OMG moment so intense you might actually forget your own name for a second. You'll hear yourself making sounds you didn't know you could make. You might cry a little (happy tears). You might order a second one before you've even finished the first. And here's the thing--the Chandler location executes this with flawless, almost artistic precision. The line moves fast, the staff is smiling, and they don't skimp. They don't hold back on the beef, they don't drizzle the cheese sauce like it's an afterthought--they PILE IT ON with pride. You can tell this team lives for these moments. They're not just serving food; they're delivering pure, unadulterated happiness. Even the atmosphere feels electric--like everyone in the room knows they're about to have their day made. You'll see strangers nodding at each other in mutual respect over their sandwiches. You'll hear "OMG!" echoed across the dining room (seriously). And when you finish that Big Beef Dipped--cheese sauce glistening on every corner, not a drop of au jus left--you'll sit back with a food coma smile so wide it hurts, already plotting your next visit. Bottom line: If you are within 50 miles of 7200 W Ray Rd, you have no excuse. Go. Right now. Order the Big Beef DIPPED with EXTRA cheese sauce. Thank me later. And maybe bring a napkin--because that cheese sauce is so good, you're going to want to lick every last drop off your fingers. Five stars? Try FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS PLUS A STANDING OVATION! This is the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to be this good.
