This was a huge hit for us- amazing Italian food. We walked in on a Saturday night around 7pm and expected a wait since the reviews are so good. We must of got lucky because we scored a patio seat. I travel extensively for work, so I Yelp all my restaurant choices. And Yelp hasn't steered me wrong, until last night. And it wasn't Yelp's fault. The reviews were largely outstanding, however, when I ordered the lasagne (normally $20, but $14 last night) for carry out, I could only eat three bites before I threw it away. It smelled like decaying gums and that grossed me out. Not sure which harmony of ingredient aromas produce that smell , but it was unbearable. Placed a carryout order on Friday 07/18. On their website, it said "Check Out Our Dinner For Four Specials!! Choose From: Chicken Cacciatore, Chicken Moretti, Chicken Parmigiana or Chicken Picatta Just $55" so we called in and spoke to an associate about the deal and placed an order for 2 Chicken Moretti and 2 Chicken Parmigiana. Made sure with the associate that we were getting the deal and we were assured so. When I went to pick the food up the lady at the counter said "$98" I mentioned to her that I placed an order for the $55 special which her response was "you need to order the same entree for all 4 meals" didn't even cross her mind to make the situation right. Why wouldn't the associate over the phone not mention this? Why would they tell me I was getting the special? The waiting area was crowded or else I would have just left without my food. You will find Moretti's is located in a modest strip mall on Sawmill across from Sam's Club and Home Depot. It has a unique family restaurant feel that is hard to find these days. While the dining area is slightly cramped with tables close together, it is usually busy for good reason. Reservations are a good idea on busy nights. You will see people here for family meals and it works well as a date spot. Another good option is you can eat at the bar where there is a good amount of space. They have a solid menu of choices and their pasta noodles, fettuccine, sausage, and even the butter that comes with the bread is homemade! And it is all good stuff. I really find it hard not to fill up on the bread with their homemade butter because it is so good. I am a huge fan of the pasta because of its more solid texture that works well in all of their sauces. Please note that it is on the pricey end with some specials running around $30 so be sure to take advantage of the weekday specials they have. I recommend Moretti's if you are craving Italian food and they are the best option in town! read more

All I have to say is the sausage lasagna is to die for! The sausage has just the right amount of spice! We had green beans, sausage crumble, eggplant, and the crab cake as appetizers. The green beans were so delicious we ended up ordering 3 plates of them, the kids couldn't get enough. For dessert we had the cannoli and tiramisu. PERFECTION. Make sure you save room!! Was very pleasantly surprised by my trip to Moretti's. I originally thought some of their dishes were overpriced but I quickly learned I was wrong when the food started coming out. We started with the sausage appetizer which was incredible. The house made sausage was very good and something that shouldn't be missed. For dinner I ordered the veal with wedding soup and honestly the soup was some of the best wedding soup I've had. The veal was disappointing but not enough to ruin the meal. The vegetables and other pasta dish that was ordered were top notch and I would just opt to get something else next time. I had enough leftovers for three additional meals! This is in my opinion one of the best Italian places in Columbus. Don't be turned off by the location in a strip mall because it is well worth checking out. Service is always great, food is homemade and the quality/quantity to price point is great. All entrees come with a great salad along with fresh Italian bread. Holy moly people, this was an experience. I ordered the Italian plate which came with a salad. Supposedly just a simple side salad tossed with balsamic. They could not seem to decide between whether or not to make a tossed salad or a pasta salad so they added lettuce, old, soft tomatoes, and, for some reason, cold cooked green beans to pasta salad. It was like a small child tried to make dinner for their mom for mothers day, but weren't allowed to use the stove so they just emptied everything on the shelf of the fridge they could eat onto a plate. Then the Italian plate came. Spaghetti. Oh my god, the noodles are salty. Why/how are the noodles this salty?! 1 singular cheese ravioli. SOB, it's wrapped in the same pasta as the spaghetti. Even the sausage was too salty or maybe it just seemed that way because I tried the noodles first. And their was the most pathetic little piece of chicken next to it. It was incredibly sparsely breaded. Like they started breading it and then decided it wasn't worth the effort, or maybe ran out of bread crumbs, not really sure what the deal was there. They somehow managed to make the small amount of breading added incredibly soggy. How did they get the chicken so soggy and wet? Did they cook this in the ocean? Is that why everything is so salty? And finally, I got a simple old fashioned to wash this down with. I don't even know how to describe this drink. It wasn't good. I've never seen an old fashioned that color in my life. read more

So far my co-workers have not let me down... they recommended two places to eat and both were GREAT! Moretti's was one of those recommendations! I arrived around 8:30 pm tonight for dinner and sat at the bar. Jamie the bar tender was very helpful and informative about the menu. The wine menu by the glass is limited but very good. Staff were pleasant. I am told EVERYTHING is made fresh daily.... all pastas, breads, sausage etc... the bread was amazing! I had a mixed green salad that came with a balsamic reduction vinaigrette. I opted for Gorgonzola cheese on the salad- everything in the salad was fresh and the Gorgonzola was plentiful! For main course... after much debate, chose the sausage lasagne. The portion was Huge... I managed to finish all but literally three bites of the ricotta... needless to say... I am STUFFED and a very satisfied patron of Moretti's. I would recommend checking out this restaurant! Bathroom- clean neat- notes to management- odd spot for the soap dispenser and the acoustic tile (with light) above the sink needs to be replaced... salut! read more

As Doug T. noted below, very disappointed. Our family agonized over what to order and called to place a carry-out order tonight (Saturday evening) one hour before the restaurant closed. We were told they had cut off carry-out orders because they were busier earlier. Makes no sense. I have never heard of this, especially during these COVID times. Either they take carry- out orders during the hours they are open or they don't. The food is fantastic, but this kind of approach makes you not want to support them in the future. If you want to place a carry out order, you better call first before you spend any time deciding what you want.
