Fried pickles
Greg M.

So much potential, but mediocre food at best. Came in on a Wednesday night for dinner and joined two old timers at the bar. I hadn't intended on having a bourbon to start, but their selection was top shelf, so I had a nice Eagle Rare. They also have Blanton's Gold, but I didn't want to shell out the $40 for a shot. Started with the fried pickles. They were wedges, which is good, and very crisp. They sprinkled Parmesan cheese over the top which was a nice touch, but I'm not sure they breaded them in house. Had the chicken parm for dinner, which they called something else. It was your standard breaded and fried chicken with marinara and mozzarella on top, but rather than served over pasta in a red sauce, it was served over pasta in a fettuccini sauce. Interesting idea, but not that good. The chicken may have been breaded and frozen, and the fettuccini sauce on the spaghetti was damn near non existent. Also, the pasta on the surface of the plate was drying up, like it had sat under a heat lamp on the plate waiting for the chicken to finish cooking. The whole dish was very bland, even with crushed red pepper. My daughter had the veggie Stromboli, which she really liked. I found the crust to be home made but the flavor to also be a bit bland. May have been due to no meat in it. The service was fast, as we were the only ones eating at the time. Everyone was friendly, but the staff seemed more interested in socializing amongst themselves than entertaining their customers. If it hadn't been for the bourbon, they would have only got 2 stars.

I grew up on their Stromboli (i recommend OG Stromboli and add banana peppers). With this new pizza dough and sauce they have, I now have a decision to make every time I come. Pizza or Stromboli you can't go wrong. Pizza blew me away it reminded me of Sextons which has been my go to. They also have the coldest beer on draft in Columbus.

One of the most reliable places I've frequented in Columbus. Love their Stromboli's - plenty big enough to split amongst at-least two people, reasonably priced and cooked with love and affection! This place feels so incredibly homey and familial - will miss it so much since I moved out back in May. Great service always - feels like I'm being served by family.

It has two kinds of meat in it. It is rather salty. Wedding Soup (CUP)

Everything is homemade was delicious. Our favorite dish was the Italian fries. It was new to us. Landon, our server was exceptional. Not only did he advise us on items, but also was very welcoming and attentive. He made our visit even better! You should give him a raise. I also thoroughly enjoyed my Italian sub. It's made with top quality ingredients, especially the meats. Thank you for happy hour prices. because of the top quality ingredients used fair prices and wonderful service by Landon we will be back

Hands down the best Stromboli in town. Dine in area is pretty small, nice little patio but not very large. Solid hidden gem.

Ordered at the counter - started with garlic bread for an appetizer - it was a very generous amount, very cheesy and very tasty. Pepperoni pizza arrived shortly after. Old-world pepperonis, thinner, slightly crunchy crust. Very tasty! Finished off with a trip to the gelato counter for dessert. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was comfortable and clean. Prices were reasonable. What else can you ask for? They have a fairly extensive menu beyond pizza, so next time we're in the area, we'll be back for sure!

Server was very friendly and extremely helpful with the menu and wine list. Had the chicken Parmesan which was good. Not the best I've ever had, but very good nonetheless. Plenty of red sauce with the homemade spaghetti. Enjoyed a glass of locally made Zinfandel from California grapes. It was outstanding! Daughter had the fettuccine with chicken. The sauce was delicious and the fettuccine very good as well. Finished with a few samples from the gelato spread. Rather odd having a Great Clips share the front door, but it adds to the casual ambiance. Would not hesitate to come back.

I had the pleasure of being in Ohio last night, well for this week, we're in town for my son's…read moregraduation. My son and his wife took us to a an amazing place they stumbled into what may very well be the culinary pride of Columbus: La Tavola, a family-owned, family-run Italian restaurant that feels like someone teleported you straight into Nonna's kitchen... but with better lighting and no guilt about not calling enough. If you love yourself a great, unapologetically stinky pizza and I'm talking Parmigiano-Reggiano and ricotta levels of heavenly funk then this is your place. This pizza didn't just have cheese; it was knee-deep in cheese. Handmade, hand-rolled, and clearly crafted by people who know their way around a dairy situation. The appetizers? Fantastic. The waitstaff? Friendly, attentive, and exactly the kind of people you'd hope are handing you carbs by the plateful. But then, the main dishes arrived. I ordered seared scallops over a bed of handmade buttery fettuccine with capers, and I swear I heard an angel sing. The scallops were perfectly cooked, the pasta was the kind that ruins you for boxed pasta forever, and the whole thing tasted like someone's Italian grandmother blessed the plate personally. If I could say "WAY TO GO!" in Italian, I absolutely would but instead I'll say this: If you're ever in Columbus, go to La Tavola. Go hungry. Go ready to eat like you're visiting family. And go prepared to fall a little bit in love with this place. Family-owned, warm, cozy, and outrageously delicious. Highly recommend.

We had the he prosciutto board - I didn't really think about prosciutto varieties! Pretty big even for 2. I had a special - confit duck keg over polenta. Savory m, rich, delicious. My friend had the pasta burro, described as the original Alfredo. It was very nice - but he chicken breading was light and crisp. Overall a very good experience.

It's such a unique combo you don't see everywhere and it worked so well. The space itself is super cute and intimate, which made it feel a little more special without being too formal. Also have to shout out our server, she was so amicable and easy to talk to, it honestly felt like we were just chatting with a friend the whole night. Between the atmosphere, the service and the food, it's definitely a spot I'd go back to for another date night.

They could do with less tables to not make it feel like you're sitting on top of each other and to make the aisles easier to traverse. My seat was bumped numerous times because the tables were so close together nobody could walk between them. The food overall was below average. For my meal, I got the chicken and red pepper sauce and my partner got the chicken in a lemon cream. Both dishes had noodles overcooked. My sauce was separating and the other one tasted like Alfredo with a squirt of lemon. The tiramisu was good, but the raspberry crème brûlée was just crème brûlée with a raspberry on the side basically. Overall, glad we tried it but doubt we come back.
