I scheduled an appointment that was advertised as a free consultation, and I was also personally informed by the front office that the visit would be completely free of charge. Despite this, the office later submitted a claim to my insurance without informing me or obtaining my consent, which felt misleading and like false advertising. In addition, the consultation itself was extremely rushed. I was in the office for less than five minutes and was not given the opportunity to explain my dental concerns or ask questions. I was quickly ushered out without any meaningful discussion. If this is how the office defines a "consultation" or examination, patients should be clearly informed in advance. Based on both the billing issue and the lack of time spent, I would not recommend this practice. read more

This is a long overdue review. It's been such a pleasure coming to this dental office. I work very close by and noticed they were accepting new patients and they accepted my insurance. My first visit was in October of 2021. I came for a cleaning and knew I needed to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. After the x-rays Dr. Morgan said what I already knew and had put off for quite some time. So I decided the time was now or never. I went to this office about a week ago because I had a sore tooth in the back of my mouth and wanted to get it checked out. I'm prior military and my experiences with military dentists weren't very good so I tried to avoid the dentist when I can, but Dr. Morgan was very understanding and compassionate with my situation. It did turn out that I needed a root canal and had a very positive experience at this office and have a scheduled my root canal. I highly recommend this office if you're not a big fan of going to the dentist in general, my entire experience there was pain-free which is a big thing for me. Let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist. I was forced to go in for emergency work after I cracked my tooth and needed a root canal. Everyone was so nice and patient with me. I have a sensitive mouth so the doctor was gentle with me and made sure I was comfortable with everything. My teeth now look great! I got my root canal done plus a few fillings and a deep clean. Hygienist and Doctor are exceptional at doing x-rays and cleaning teeth. Very nice ladies and I've always have had a positive experience. Today, however, my appointment was at 9 o'clock. I got there on time (they open at 9 o'clock) but if nobody is going to be there at 9 o'clock then they should not start making appointments for 9 o'clock. Second, the hygienist got there after me - it was 9:05 - and then she took five more minutes and then told me I was ready for x-rays. She did the x-rays, that was all fine, and then she moved me to the chair to get my teeth cleaned by Dr. Dr. doesn't get there until 9:15, and then I hear her whisper to her receptionist that she's embarrassed because she doesn't have make up on, then proceed to hear her shuffle thru her make up bag only to see her walk in the room, 5 minutes later and says "hi how are you" with her pretty eyeliner and red lips - taking the time out of my appointment to put her make up on. You do Not need makeup to clean my teeth. This was so unprofessional, this is not a favor she's doing me, this is her job and she was wasting my time. I obviously made my appt to be the first one of the day, so that I could be in and out and not take up any more of my work hours than I needed to. I will not make this mistake again. read more

I made an appointment for my elderly parent for a cleaning since she now has dental insurance with her Kaiser Senior Advantage plan through Delta Dental. She has been going to a dentist regularly twice a year for cleanings. Her dentist does not accept Delta Dental so I was in search of a dentist to take advantage of her 2 cleanings a year at no cost. I made an appointment with Morgan Dental.....twice I was called by Elizabeth letting me know that I need to change the appointment. That was annoying. When she finally went to her appointment they did x-rays and said she would need the more extensive cleaning because she had soft tartar and needed a bacterial rinse. And that was going to be $190 out of pocket after insurance. I asked that she just get the regular cleaning and Dr. Morgan refused to do that. They definitely try to up sale clients. I declined her service and was able to take her to the dentist she had previously been going to for a regular cleaning for $105. Beware of what you sign there, I am pretty sure many are getting ripped off and taken advantage of there. I asked them to email me a quote for what they were trying to do and also the x-rays. I was only emailed the x-rays and no quote. I was able to email her dentist the x-rays and they did tell me that they were very bad x-rays that did not show the entire picture they needed and were very dark. read more

This place is a joke. I went for a check up and they gave me a dental plan that I needed. Which came to $2,350. I asked for codes to confirm with my insurance company and found out that everything they had quoted me was covered with a deductible on my part. So I sent them the info and never heard back. After 7 days I called and the front lady informs me that they dropped my dental plan... Interesting.. Called my dental plan and a dentist cannot drop a plan mid-way into the year! So I questioned this and she says its only for emergency and our charges are what we quoted you!! Trying to rip me off.. I would never return and I highly recommend that you do your homework before receiving treatment for this shady place. Unethical people out for $$$$ and nothing else. I've been coming to this dentist since June 2009, every 3 months due to periodontal issues. I had some bad experiences with dentist in the past so I was very nervous. The office itself was brand new when I first started going. It was very nice inside. Everything is very clean and all the equipment is very up to date, technology wise. The staff is very attentive. Both the hygenist and Dr Morgan are SO sweet. They are very gentle and make sure I feel at ease. Dr Morgan suggested I get braces so I have continued to see her every 3 months for braces. She is very conservative in that she doesn't jump right to surgery as an option. I've only rated her a 4 star because the periodontist she referred me out to provided me with a horrible experience. First visit they were very accommodating. My crown had come loose and they got me in within an hour and a half. I was very pleased! After seeing I needed a new crown Dr. Morgan suggested an all porcelain crown but found out most insurance does not cover and was blown away by the price. My dentist of 7 yrs stopped taking my insurance and I was transferred by my dental HMO to Morgan Dental. I have very healthy teeth and gums and have only 2 cavities in my mouth. I typically get cleanings every quarter. When I had my initial exam at Morgan I was quoted over $500 to do an initial cleaning of my teeth. I was told that my teeth were in such bad condition that it would require 3 separate visits to clean them. They told me that unless I sign up for the 3 visits they would not be able to touch my teeth because they could not be liable. My last cleaning was 5 months earlier. This place is a total scam just trying to take as much cash as possible from a client. I asked that my X-Rays from the exam be sent to another dentist and they say they are not able to email or provide electronic copies just paper print outs which the new dentist will not accept. read more

I have gone to Morgan Dental for about 3 years. Yes, the staff is nice, but I was continually told I needed another tooth crowned on each visit. I believed them so I had 3 crowns thus far done by them...the first one the color was way off...of course I still needed to pay, but the worst was my last visit where I was told I needed two more teeth crowned! I could feel with my tongue that the tooth had barely a chip, so I asked if she were sure that it didn't just need an onlay which is much less invasive. No, it had to be two crowns. Something didn't feel right so I asked a friend for a referral to a good dentist. I went and lo and behold....one tooth only needed a filling! And the other an onlay!!! My teeth have been saved from being sawed down!!! I feel much better just having a filling and an onlay as it is much healthier for my teeth. One can be nice all day long but when one is giving wrong dental advice that helps no one. I would definitely not recommend Morgan Dental. I went to a different dentist, saved my teeth and I also saved enormously in my pocketbook by going elsewhere. I told the new dentist that I was a little freaked since I now didn't know if the crowns I did get at Morgan were really necessary...She understood, said what's done is done and I need to move on. I wanted to make an update to my first review as it was my impression on the service they gave my boyfriend. Since it turned out so well, I switched insurance just so i could come to this office. Dr Morgan is very nice and calm and knows how to make me feel at ease. I had a broken tooth and a couple really LARGE cavities. She went in carefully and was able to save my teeth from root canals. They feel great. I am so glad i found this dentist office. It's really hard to find a dentist that won't nickle and dime you these days. I used to dread going to the dentist and put it off as much as possible. But now that i've found a great office to go to, I won't put it off any more. I went to another dentist a few weeks prior and had an unpleasant experience so decided to go to Morgan Dental for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Morgan gave me a very reasonable price and did not over recommend services, just what was needed. I ended up needing 3 fillings as well as a night guard for teeth grinding. Being one that is not very fond of going to the dentist in general, it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The staff is very cordial and give the impression that they truly care about you. Dr. Morgan is very personable and makes you comfortable by walking you through each step of what she's doing in your mouth. Overall, a very calm and comforting demeanor at the office with a very welcoming staff. I had a routine exam and cleaning with Dr. Morgan Jalaei on 12/13/12 and discussed a problem I had with an older 3-tooth bridge/crown that had given me some pain recently. She said there was decay under the crown and may need a root canal or extraction, but could not tell for sure until she removed the crown. Then she had her DA take Xrays but after 2 attempts both were too blurry to read. I asked the DA if she could have the Dr take the Xrays because I did not want to have excessive radiation while she kept trying to get them right. Then Dr. Morgan came in and said she does not do Xrays and does not know how. I would have to come back when her receptionist, Jennifer returned, who had left for the day. I was dismayed when she told me that and expressed my concern, but said to just give me an estimate for the bridge/crown work and would deal with the other treatment if necessary. She became irritated and said she does not discuss finances and would have Jennifer call me. When I did not hear from Jennifer the following day, I called but got voice mail and left message. After the weekend I called on 12/19/12-Mo and spoke to Jennifer, she said would have to call my insurance Safeguard and get the latest fee schedule and fax me estimate. On 12/19-We, I called to Jennifer and asked why she has not sent me estimate yet? She said they are dropping some Safeguard and other insurance plans after first of year. Said I should be getting a letter from Safeguard assigning me to another dentist. I became upset and said I would select my own dentist but asked to just give me a list of insurances that they accept and an estimate without insurance. She said would try but will be closed between Christmas and New Years week. I never head back from Jennifer but on 12/24/12 I received a letter from Safeguard saying that Morgan Dental has requested that me and my dependant (wife) be transferred to another provider and they selected one for me. As you can imagine, I was very upset and called Safeguard to inquire why we were dropped. The rep said they were told by Jennifer that we had too many missed appointments. I said that is not true and explained the situation above to her. My wife was really upset because she liked Dr. Morgan and she did not have to be dropped. The Safeguard rep said I can file a Grievance which I intend to do. Apparently Dr. Morgan does not like to hear complaints from her patients and will drop you like a rock if you do. I feel Dr. Morgan and receptionist Jennifer are unprofessional and unethical for they way I was treated and giving me a run around and providing false information to my insurance. I'm really sad to have to write this review. The dentist and her staff are very friendly an I wish it would have worked out for me here. I went in to get a cleaning and a referral to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I was told it would cost around $1200 for all four teeth plus anesthesia and the authorization would take 4-6 weeks. After 3 months had gone by I hadn't received a phone call from anyone. I even left two voicemails an never received a return call. Finally I contacted my insurance and they told me that nothing was ever submitted. When I called them back they had no explanation an try to schedule me anyways. I decided to pick up my X-rays and go somewhere else. It was kind of a hassle getting another consultation and referral to another oral surgeon but I ended up starting from the beginning. Anyways the new place quoted me $495 for all four teeth plus anesthesia. Not sure how tere could be such a difference with the same insurance! And I am scheduled in 3 weeks. Like I said , the staff was really nice and friendly but I would have wasted a lot of time and money if I stayed here :( read more
