Previously, I went to another eye doctor and felt like I was nickel and dimed, but I didn't feel that way here. As soon as I walked in, I got chatting with the front desk woman and she was the sweetest! I loved that they had an option to dilate/take a picture. That was important to me. I really like Dr. K too! He felt like he really cared to take his time with me and my specific needs. Literally the best office of any kind I have ever been too. I'm amazed that an office could run in perfection the way they do. Everyone is so kind and friendly. I honestly am shocked at how wonderful this place is. The only other place that's ever wowed me this way is Chick fil an and Sentara Princess Anne Hospital (specifically the maternity unit). I recommend this place for anyone looking for the best optometrist on the planet but also if you are a crappy person don't go here. So glad I found Sea Eye Care. I visited recently for the first time needing an eye exam and a new prescription for frames and contacts. The entire staff was amazing! Gabby (spell check!) the technician was very friendly and made me comfortable during the various tests which was super helpful to me because those lights can be pretty uncomfortable to look through. Dr. Komornik did a great job explaining the health of my eyes. The visuals helped lol! I appreciated that he gave me the option of trying out two different contact lens brands at home to see what worked best for me. Jessica helped me pick out my frames. Shopping is my favorite thing to do and with her help it was really easy and fun to pick out frames that looked awesome on me! I also think the cost of my frames and overall visit was fair. In addition to the great staff I love the convenience of online scheduling and text reminders/follow ups. Makes it super easy to stay on top of my visits! read more

Hands down the best eye care practice I've ever been to. Super friendly staff and if you're anything like me, the air puff test can be difficult. They have a handheld version that doesn't shoot air at your eye. Dr. Komornik explains everything and listens to your thoughts or concerns. Overall, a great experience! I've had many eye exams typically visiting America's Best or whatever is the cheapest and most convenient. My mother has been diagnosed with macular degeneration, so I decided or actually my wife decided that I need to have a more professional eye exam. Not agreeing with her of course (because I'm usually right ), I asked her what the big difference is?? In her infinite wisdom, she said "they're your eyes not your ankle!. Sprain your ankle, go to urgent care.....don't play around with your eyes. She also told me that my visit would cost less than my favorite bourbon, so again, she was correct! I was BLOWN AWAY the technology....me "are you going to blow in my eye?", Dr Komornik..."we don't do that anymore". I'm thinking, yes, everyone else does. He puts a green laser in my eye with no puff......! Then after several more tests I've never seen in my life, he takes me to a different room to take a picture of my inner eyes, so we can set a benchmark for macular degeneration.....he reviewed with me, the detail of both eyes. I was incredibly thankful first of all for the time he spent with me and the plan going forward to take care of my eyes. I have mono vision and EVERY optometrist has tried to upsell me on glasses. Total opposite here, Dr Komornik told me about them, but also told me it would be a waste of money unless I really felt my lifestyle was conducive to using them. Sea Eye Care is definitely the best eye care establishment I've ever visited BY FAR !!! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Komornik and Sea Eye Care! He is not only an amazing Dr., but an extremely caring individual. I would go to him for any eye care needs! I was visiting Norfolk from out of town, and I woke up with an extremely swollen, red, and painful left eye that had started draining. Bad enough, but it was Labor Day! I was going to go to the Emergency room, but I preferred to be seen by a specialist rather than an ER Physician. I called Sea Eye Care and left a message, as it was a Holiday and the office was closed. To my shock, in a matter of minutes I received a text from Dr. Komornik. He informed me that the office was closed, but he would try to help me! He sent me a link to a secure site that would protect my health information, and we could communicate. He requested a picture of my eye. After sending the picture, he asked me if I could meet him at the office! Dr. Komornik was going to see this stranger who he had never met, was not his patient, and was from another state on a Holiday? You can not imagine the relief that I felt! I met Dr. Komornik at the office. What an amazing man and Physician! I am so grateful that he took the time out of his day to see me and treat my eye! The very next day, he checked on me, and I was able to send him another picture of my improving eye. Then 2 days later he called, to check on me again!
